Steele Bros #4

Steele Her Heart

Rate this book
Jordan

Lacey was the one person I could never have. She was off limits in every sense of the word. I went to my families lake house and found her in the guest house. Little did I know she asked my father if she could spend her last free summer in the one place she adored.
That summer the devil tempted me, putting forbidden fruit right in front of my very eyes. I did such a good job at keeping my distance until the night of her eighteenth birthday. She was officially a woman and there wasn't another reason to keep my desires at bay.
That was years ago.
I've watched her graduate from college, gain an internship at Steele Enterprises and blossom into a sinfully, divine business-oriented siren.
What we did that summer could've turned into something more. Now that I've seen everyone else in my family find their own happiness I can't help but wonder what if? I'm just uncertain if Lacey will accept me for my darker tastes. It has been years after all, and with time comes new desires.

I just love this series I have read and enjoyed all four Steele Brothers books and have to admit that this one was my favorite. Loved the series and as much as I was looking forward to Jordan’s book I was a bit disappointed, first of all the cover annoyed me because through all 4 books they go on about Logan and Jordan being identical twins so the cover should have been the same model (petty I know but annoying) also the part to do with Madigan and the Falcone’s! This was a huge deal that was left out of the books, really confused me something thing huge and important hadn’t been in any of the books, even her daughter/s (I had to check to see if I had missed a book) considering they were all about family I think it was a missed opportunity not mentioning or including anything about the kids, surely they children would’ve been included in family gatherings/weddings? as much as I did like Jordan and Lacey snd their story, the ending felt unfinished, also what happened about their mum? Maybe there is going to be another book to tie up all the endings 🤔🤞because it was a great series and a pity to end on this unfinished note.

ONE TIGHTLY COILED EXPERIENCE!!!
OMG, Freaking fantastic! Elizabeth blows this baby out of the water, as she spins this nailbiting, heart pounding, pulse racing, adrenaline pumping, block busting bombshell that hooks you from the start and reels you in for the duration. A raging tempest of vexing circumstances and a bevy of unforseen events launch this baby into a tailspin with a breathtaking culmination. Combating the drama, tension, intrigue, danger and soaring suspense, keeps you riveted on a razors edge. Add distress and turmoil along with perplexing situations and a boatload of trouble makes for one explosive rollercoaster ride. The undeniable attraction and blazing chemistry sizzles from the pages alluring and mesmerizing until you feel the electrifying hum through your veins. The characters are authentic and realistic with traits and qualities that blend into outstanding personalities. The scenes are strikingly sharp with abundant details and descriptions, it gives the illusion you were right there in the middle of ground zero with them. Remarkable job Elizabeth, thanks for sharing this baby with us.

OMG! I loved Jordan and Lacey! These two shared something special years ago and neither of them could really forget, but Jordan being the man he is, had deep feelings for her, but feared something bad would happen to her with the business his family is in so he left, never to go too far, because Lacey was never really far away being that she works for his brother Christian. Lacey has avoided Jordan like the plague, steers clear of him at every turn until she can’t anymore. She still has deep feelings for him and is afraid to let him back in for fear he will break her all over again. Will he or will he realize that she’s always been the one for him? Can he convince Lacey to give him another chance? There is always suspense and danger wrapped around these Steele men, but I think Jordan is the most interesting of them all with his little side businesses he’s got going on. I’m hoping there is more to this series, I absolutely love it and need more. I found this book on Booksprout.

Jordan has known Lacey all his life as her grandmother has worked for the Steele family for over 30 years, but 10 years before he went to work for his family and she went to college, they had an affair. Lacey now works as an executive assistant for Christian Steele and as a Sex Therapist three evenings a week to utilize her master's degree in psychology. Jordan now working out of the Steele building also for the more questionable enterprises, like gunrunning...although he does own several clubs. She ignores Jordan until she actually get assigned to be his assistant as his current assistant worthless. They do run into each other at restaurant... ok...he had someone follow her there so he could show up with former girlfriend, but after both of their dining companions left, they reach an understanding as she wants to know more about his end of the business...but you will need to read this sizzling story to see what happens...I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I have been dying to have a spare second to read this book. I have always been very curious about Jordan, he has always been the more mysterious brother. I truly don’t remember much about his interactions with Lacey, but I was super excited when I heard their background.

This family has some very special connections and I truly love how Liz finds a way to bring all of her different characters together. We got a little bit of her mafia friends in the MC friends and that is the best thing a girl can ask for. We got a lot a special connections in this book and I am super curious to see where it leads.

Lacey and Jordan were super spicy! I loved seeing the cat and mouse game, even if that wasn’t truly what they wanted it to be. It seemed like the two of them were on different hemispheres and thought about what happened in their past, but I loved Jordan’s reasons for doing what he did. These two are going to be very special and I have a feeling that she is going to be a very powerful Steele!

This family is so special and I can’t wait to see what Liz has up her sleeves next!!!

What have I been missing? I have come into this series at book 4 but I really wished I had read from the start. Not because I could not follow or anything was missing from this great book, Just I want to know everyone's stories and get more of the Steele brothers and family history.

This book hooked me from the start and I loved the quotes at the start of each chapter. The characters were interesting and draw you into their world, the flow of the story and the authors writing was great. I read with ease and speed as I just wanted more. This is a great second chance romance story that will involve more than just a couple but the whole family as thing become clear and secrets are opened up for all to see.

A wonderful first time read for me a Great New author to immerse myself into her world. I received an ARC copy of this book to which I have given you my honest and voluntary review. This is a short read but with lots of everything you look for in a Billionaire Romance.

Growing up with the Steele brothers Lacey was treated like one of the family, with her grandmother working for their father for years she spent a lot of time with them.
When Lacey spends the summer at the beach house before she leaves for school Jordan ends up there at the same time.Lacey has made up her mind to make her move on the one brother she's drawn too.
Jordan thinks he is going to the beach to relax and unwind what he isn't expecting is Lacey,he's always found her appealing but she is to young for him.
When summer is coming to an end and Lacey leaving for school soon Jordan knows he has to leave he's to dangerous for her.
Years pass and Lacey works for the Steele's and she knows that Jordan is her one downfall she tries to keep her distance but its becoming harder to do.
Can she take a chance with Jordan again or will this time break her heart forever.

I haven’t read the first three books in this series and I’m sorry I haven’t, because all the Steele brothers sound great! This story is about Jordan & Lacey, who were together 10 years ago until he ghosted her. I loved that Lacey goes after what she wants and puts her heart on the line when they meet again. The chemistry between Jordon & Lacey is undeniable. Jordan must have had a pretty good reason to leave, but nothing's changed & he wants her forever. I love watching the H struggle against what he thinks is right, and what he wants. Also, I didn’t know this world included Ms Knox's The Clan series, and I was happy & excited to know that this book took place after Covert. In all, I’d recommend this book, it was engaging & had me flipping the pages fast while loving the characters, but if I had to do it again, I’d start from book one to get the most out of it.

I received a copy of this book & my honest opinion is voluntarily provided.

Another great addition

This was a great story, and a terrific series. I do have to be honest, after reading the other series' by this author, I feel like there was something missing from each of these stories. It's not that they weren't good, but they just weren't as powerful as the others. I really liked the characters in these stories, but I feel like they (as well as the storyline itself) were held back from what could have been.
Reading about the Steele's in the other series', they seemed so powerful and almost untouchable. However, it seemed like that power was muted in their own series. Maybe I expected more out of this series based on what I had read in the others.
Overall, this was a great series. Although I feel like the characters and storyline's could've been made more powerful, it doesn't mean that it was a bad series, or that I didn't enjoy it.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and great author.

He broke her heart once, can she trust him a second time given his dirty dealings

Steele her Heart is the fourth book in the Steele Bros series but the first book that I have read of the Steele Bros. I was not sure if by not reading the first three books in the series I would be able to pick this book up and enjoy it or not. While there were things that were included in this story which were obviously from the other books I did not find they were integral to the plot for this book. But I think it would have been beneficial to have read them before this one all the same.
The story is fast-paced in this novella and the ending felt abrupt. The characters of Jordan and Lacey were nice but I did not get invested in them quick the way I had expected, given some of the author's other books I have read. But overall the story was nicely done and enjoyable.

I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Really enjoyed this amazing storyline on Jordan and Lacey these were to amazingly paired main characters, I gotta give it to you Elizabeth Knox you had me from the beginning with this one. He is upset because the two of them shared something special years ago and neither of them could really forget it but Jordan being the man he is and really has had deep feelings for her. But she fears something bad would happen to her with the business his family is in so he left, never to go too far, because Lacey was never really far away being that she works for his brother Christian. She has avoided Jordan like the plague, steers clear of him at every turn until she can’t anymore. She still has deep feelings for him and is afraid to let him back in for fear he will break her all over again. Filled with a little bit of everything to make a an explosive read.

I loved some of Ms Knox’s books, but this was poor storytelling. The heroine just gave in to him so easily, the so-called hero didn’t even put in the effort needed to build the relationship.

SPOILERS

Older man has one night stand with 18 year old girl who’s a family friend, then ignores her for 10 years because he ‘loves’ her so much and doesn’t want her in danger.
She now works for his family business - he wants to reconnect (after seeing his brothers get their HEA), she initially says no but then is suddenly all in. He of course has to use the obligatory line that he ‘has always wanted her’ despite having other women in his bed (Eh, he’s in his 40s and probably feeling lonely, siblings all busy with their families and he wants a companion for more than sex).
Some problems come up and he proposes in a very abrupt way and of course she says yes immediately , then they get married. After the wedding, he takes her to his sex club. .

Couldn’t finish it

The first few pages annoyed me so much, I didn't bother with the rest. Maybe the book improved. What really bothered me is Lacey's crasseness and rudeness. In the club she deserved that drink over her head and it irritated me that Christian fired the waitress, pure nepotism. How dare she call the waitress a bitch? She doesn't know the woman, apart from looking too long, she wasn't inappropriate and above all, she (Lacy) wasn't involved with Jordan at the time so not her place to be offended. Very hypocritical for a sex therapist. She also had a foul mouth when is wasn't necessary. But my hard pass was her slapping him twice, again unjustified. I can't stand the hypocrisy of women slapping men, when the opposite is a complete outrage. It's a real shame because I liked Jordan and was looking forward to his story.

Lacey works for The Steele brothers an her secret side job is sex therapist. When she goes to an opening of a new club owned by the Steele bros Jordan arrives before she gets to the side door he holds out his hand to her she could walk away embarrassing him but truthfully Lacey still loves Jordan even if he broke her heart. The biggest mistake Jordan ever did was letting Lacey go,he thought he was protecting her .There are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page and leave you begging for more.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and makes you feel their emotions and their pain.I can hardly wait to see what;s next by this multi talented author.

Good but maybe lacking in drama.
3.5
It's a good, well-written romance that due to the context of the characters, might have been more difficult to read, but ultimately, the romance is simple or cute. We can even say that given the heroes' sexual choices, the story is quite soft. The interesting point is mainly from the point of view of the heroine, Lacey. She was abandoned after a night of love, by Jordan, one of the Steele brothers, without her knowing why. Working for them now, she meets him again and the attraction is always on both sides. When she understands what he has done was to protect her and that he explains why her family and loved ones are constantly threatened, Lacey understands that she will have to make choices.

A good nights read that has drama, secrets, family and lust. I have to say lust because they went from zero to marriage in a forth night it seems. I know they had their one time when she was just barely 18 to him in her 30s a decade prior to this future setting, Lacey is the granddaughter of their father’s assistant and everyone but Jordan see’s her as their little sister but he sees something he shouldn’t crave but does. Her first kiss, her first time and he was also the first and only man to shatter her heart.
She’s a sex therapist and he’s the dark twin in gunrunning and owns a sex den but he will fight with what he has to get the only girl to make him crazy in love no matter how many years. But will his family’s dark secrets claim Lacey’s life or will these Steele men fight to keep their hidden truths from hurting their future?

After ten years, together at last!!
by sewsummore

Lacey and Jordan had one unforgettable night together when she was just eighteen and then nothing more for over ten years. Now she is to be his assistant and she cannot avoid him anymore. Jordan had always felt guilty about what he had done but had done it to protect her, now it was time to make amends and make her his for all time. This is the final book in the series and ties up all the loose ends, Lacey and Jordan were perfect for each other, finally together with them working side by side, prepared for the whatever the future has install for them. I am so glad that Jordan was able to finally marry the woman he had loved for so many years, this was a great ending to a wonderful series.

Who knew summer lovin' and years later would bring Lacey and Jordan back together again.

I love Lacey. Sure she had her heart broken and felt rejected from the one man who owned all her firsts but she became a lioness to Jordan.

Jordan ghosted her. Sure he has reasons but he deserves her anger. He's become a player trying to chase guilt and her memories away but it hasn't worked.

Now they are in each others crosshairs again so get ready for lots of drama, suspense, secrets, sinfully delicious se*, getting to spend more time with these gorgeous and powerful Steele brothers and their equally beautiful ladies.

Love the pace of the story and how every page takes you in so deep. A total rush and ooh so good!!! I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

This is a new series for me and I did not get to read the first 3 books and I believe that would have enhanced my experience. I didnt realize when I took them arc it was the fourth book in a series. I did enjoy it but sure wish the rest had been included. To gave to buy 3 books at over $5.50 each (Canadian) is an unfair assumption so I was frustrated. I did like this book. Steele Her Heart book 4 of the Steele Brothers and the story is about Jordan and Lacey. Lacey fell in love with Jordan years ago during one memorable summer but Jordan left and broke her heart. Now years later these two connect as Jordan finally admits to himself that he has always wanted Lacey and now he is determined to get her even if Lacey is trying to fight him.

This is Book 4 in the Steele Brothers Series by this author. It is a heartfelt, second chance romance between one-time lovers, Jordan and Lacey. Once they re-connect, it is a journey of self-discovery as these two likable characters figure out a renewed relationship between them with love and intimacy, along with drama, heartache, and forgiveness. It is a love story dealing with the rebuilding of trust and strengthening of love. Overall, it is a solid read with heart, heat, and a happy for now ending. Reading the other books in the series would enhance your reading pleasure since they are interconnected.

Jordon wanted Lacey for a long time and when she turned eighteen he went after her. They were together and then she left for college but he never contacted her and broke her heart. Now she’s graduated and works for his brother. He considered the bad boy now and running the illegal parts of the company with companies on the side that are his alone. She avoids Jordon at all costs after he ignored her after their time together even though she thinks about their time together a lot. But she ends up working for Jordon and the pull between them gets stronger. He wants her back but can he convince her to give him another chance?

If you're looking for an easy to follow, hot, steamy, sexy, smooth flowing read that captures your attention from the start. Congratulations my friends you've found it. The characters and scenes are realistic and believable. Twists and turns and unpredictable surprises that kept my eyes on the pages and on the edge of my seat. I followed the characters fascinated as their personalities transformed and blended. Vivid detailed descriptions were so life like and on point. The storyline was solided and well defined. Cold showers may be in order when your finished. Elizabeth Knox did a remarkable job bringing this story together beautifully.

HOLY HELL The Steele Brothers have out done themselves again! I think this book was my favorite out of all of them because Jordan had his chance with Lacey and had a wonderful summer with her and then he just left her and did not contact her again. Then there is an event at The Steele company and he sees her again and wants her even more than he did before but the only thing is will Lacey accept him and his life style after all it has been years and a man has needs and he filled them in a non traditional way.

I could go on for forever with this review but I am going to cut it short because this is one series that is a MUST READ! You get four Steele brothers and what they will do for love and happiness and Jordan and Lacey's story is simply amazing!

I keep discovering more and more what this author has to offer. Whenever I can I squeeze one in with the results being more than I expected. Jordan seems wants his turn at life with the musings doing the searching. When him and Lacey have another chance we pay close attention. Now things have grown with desires maturing with fire. Chance has given us the opportunity to see what they will do once the initial contact happens again. Yeah for Lacey she too has grown which makes this one exciting relationship as it builds. This will come with fireworks and with the unknown you are given one thrill or two. This one is not to be missed I am thinking.

I hate that this series is coming to an end. I love all the Steele men and their ladies.
They have known each other for years and have had a hidden desire for each other. They finally give in when they meet at the lake house one summer. After that everything goes to crap.
He leaves for her own good and she is heart broken, when they meet years later, she puts him thur his paces and makes him regret leaving her.
He shows her that he loves her and that they can be together and that they can over come anything that comes Their way.
Together they figure out it is better to be together then apart.

The story here was pretty good. A Steele brother isdoing business on both sides of the law. He is in love with a girl he knew way back when. She now works for the family business and Jordan manages to have her assigned to be his assistant.

Since this is the fourth in a series, a lot of the things that happened to the other brothers is hinted at to bring an overview to the relationships.

My only problem with this is sometimes there seems to be a shift in perspective between the characters and it is a bit confusing. Also there is an abrupt ending, which is probably the basis for another in the series.
