Phillip Cavendish was the boy I grew up with. My brother’s best friend, he was always out of reach.

Until he wasn’t.

We were two kids so in love that we failed to see each others’ faults and flaws.

We held on when we should have let go. We loved, we fought, and we won.

Until all that was left were my tears.

I loved him through them. I hoped.

But sometimes the fairy tale has no happy end, and we have no choice but to let go.

Sometimes to get your happy ending, you have to walk through hell.

When I was introduced to Dorian in No One But You I was immediately intrigued by her and what her story was and how or why she’d ended up in her current situation.
For You is a prequel to No One But You and it was so good to be back with not only Dorian but also with her sister Willow, their brother Jamie and Quincy.

For You gave me Dorian’s beautiful and heartbreaking story of love and losing it. She falls in love with her close friend Quincy‘s brother Phillip.
Their love captures and explores what it feels to be young and in love. Having fun with your friends and just enjoying life.
Dorian is a remarkable young woman who loves her twin sister Willow, their brother Jamie and their parents. She cares so much and takes a lot on her shoulders when it’s not really necessary. Phillip made me scratch my head a couple of times because of his behavior and choices. Despite of that nothing could take away the love he had for Dorian. Together when it was good their love shined like a beacon. Overshadowing everything. Pure and real filled with passion.

Love isn’t always happy endings. Love and life can throw curveballs at you when you least expect it and you can either seize the moment or run away from it all. For You captures that beautifully through Phillip and Dorian. Their story is real, relatable and painful. I wanted Dorian’s past history and Alexandra Silva delivered. She made me go through emotions, made me hurt and swoon leaving me wanting to know how Dorian’s story ends. I’m so excited to find out. Cause you can’t leave me hanging like that ;)

4 Heartbreaking Stars

I'm hooked on the series. Two close-knit families with children that are either best friends, married or secret lovers. Add outside friends as love interests to the mix and you've got yourself some messy and complicated entanglements. But I love it! Because I appreciate messy relationships. I love every single character and the dynamics of this endearing bunch.

For You is book 2 in the Imperfect Hearts series. It's Dorian & Phillip's (Pip) story and told from Dorian's PoV. They were first introduced in book 1 (Quincy & Jamie's story) which I read about 6 months ago so it took me a little while to familiarize myself again with how these characters are connected. Basically, all the characters from the first book take center stage here along with Dorian. Which is fine with me because I love them all. However, the book description should indicate that these books be READ IN ORDER.

Dorian's story in this book does NOT end with a HEA. We already know that from reading book 1 but here we learn all the details about Dorian and Pip's love affair leading up to a tragic event. I couldn't stop the tears from falling. It tore my heart to pieces. I was already gutted by the choices Pip made and the heartache it caused Dorian. I was so angry with him. Why, Pip? Why?!!
"How is it possible to hate someone you love so dearly?"
How indeed. Then tragedy hits and I just wished I could hold Dorian and never let her go.

The author did an amazing job at depicting Dorian's struggle and later her pain. WOW, is all I can say.

I can't wait to read Dorian's HEA in book 3 which releases later this month. While I wait, I might read book 1 again because reading For You made me miss Quincy and Jamie so much.

Note to Safety Gang:
No cheating in Dorian's story.

Beautiful. Thats the first word that came to mind after reading this book.

We meet Dorian in No One But You. She's Jamie's sister and a Twin. This is her Novella. As i read the book i felt like it wasn't just your typical love story...it was a story about life...a story about Dorian's life. How she came to be who she is now. We see her joy, her sadness, her anger, the way she loved. Beautiful...so so beautiful! I feel like many of us can relate to Phillip and Dorian. Their relationship wasn't perfect but they did love each other.

This story gave me all the feels. I laughed with these characters. I felt my heartsore when Dorian cried! I was SOOOOOOO CLOSE to knocking phillip the fuck out😂 at times...but ultimately i just think everyone needs to read this book. We can learn so so much from these characters about life and how to live it to the fullest even though we make mistakes a long the way.

This is the second book from Alexandra and you'd never guess that. Everything flows and the storyline is delivered perfectly.

Congratulations babe! Here's to another amazing book💙

Beautifully written love story that will have you riding a roller coaster of emotions with Dorian and Phillip ❤❤❤

I loved Dorian in No One But You, so I was thrilled to read about what led to her current situation in life. It was great to have the rest of the group, Jamie, Quincy, Willow and Jake along for the ride. Each one of them are just as important to the story as the hero and heroine. None of them distracts from the epic love between Dory and Pip, but only enhances the love and connection they all share to one another.

This is the perfect tale of honest, breathtaking, messy love. The emotions you feel between Dory and Pip are all consuming and heartfelt. They met at an early age and growing into that love as your aspirations in life change is not always easy. Dory and Pip had dreams, but sometimes those dreams don’t lead you down the same path. Dory was selfless in her choices, and while Pip loved her like he’d never love anyone else, he had an itch to fulfill and Dory didn’t want to stand in his way.

While I didn’t always agree with the choices that Pip made, I still found him burrowing into my heart because that is what he did. He loved fiercely, he adored Dory in every way he should have. He demands your attention and it’s impossible not to give it. But at the end of the day his choices took them down a road neither would have anticipated. This was an extremely emotional read for me. I felt the pain of these characters in my heart.

Alexandra’s writing is powerful and sucks you in, squeezing your heart until you realize you’re holding your breath. Not all love stories have a happy ending, but it’s the journey they take that captures your heart. Dory and Pip captured my heart! You should read No One But You, rest assured you will fall in love with this cast of characters. You will want more, and I look forward to reading about them in the future.

Not all Hearts and “Sun”flowers

When Alex asked me to Beta read her new book baby “For You” – the prequel to her forthcoming release “Someone Like You” (or indeed the prequel to her amazing debut novel “No One But You” - as this is set before Jamie and Quincy finally find their happiness) I was honoured but a little apprehensive.  I already knew some of the story and knowing it was not going to have a happy ending with Dory and Pip living happily ever after, something I usually avoid when selecting my books, I was terrified that I would be left bereft when it ended.

Not only that, but after reading “No One But You” and the glimpse we had into the history of Dory and Pip, I made no secret of my dislike of the character of Phillip. However – somehow Alex managed to make me love and hate him all at the same time.

I digress…

Yet again I was hooked from the first page and devoured the book in one sitting.

“For You” tells the story of how Dory and Pip’s romance first blossoms.  Starting out as a sweet love story with hearts and “sun”flowers – totally the young love we all get lost in - I was actually angry at myself for finding Phillip sweet and tender - his love for Dory just oozes from the page with some beautiful and romantic gestures.

As the story progresses we soon realise that there are elements of uncertainty for their future particularly with Phillip’s hot headedness and lack of consideration for Dory – especially when it comes to his responsibilities.  On more than one occasion I went from swooning like a teenager to practically throwing my kindle at the wall!

The angst, emotion and turmoil that Dory has to endure is absolutely heart-breaking but it only makes me love her even more.

As I’ve said before, Alexandra's story telling ability and her wonderful character building skills pulled me in.  I really felt everything alongside Dory especially her devastating grief near the end.  But her strength and determination pull her through and I cannot tell you how much I am looking forward to the next book because that epilogue – Wow – it left me desperate for more!  I need that story yesterday!

“For You” is a beautifully written contemporary romance with brilliant wit and charm coupled with absolute tragedy and heartbreak.

I rate this book as 5 stars. Definitely one to read! Alexandra is already on my automatic one click list and this book just confirms my belief in an amazingly talented author. Congratulations Alexandra!

Two words! …… “You’re enough!” …..almost enough to make me forget about my dislike for Phillip…almost! 😊😉💗🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

Such a sweet and sour kind of story. If you've read No One But You then you already kind of know what to expect. It was all the other details I was awed by. There was way more conflict in this story than I thought there would be. Philip's feelings about Richard were freaking crazy! And I honestly think that had Quincy and Jamie gotten together he would have been ok with it. Dorian is so damn strong! Dealing with his mood swings would have had me in a foul mood all the time!!! I am so excited to see her finally get her HEA! She deserves it so much.

Alexandra Silva I have words for you: mainly, why do you this to me? I thought I understood Dorian’s pain from the first book but it’s nothing like I imagined. It wasn’t always a blissful relationship and it was even more painful that things weren’t well when he passed. Her demeanor makes so much sense. I appreciate No One But you much more now because I now understand all the hurdles Jamie and Quincy went through. It also broke my heart that it was very clear to me that Jake loved Dorian from the start, talk about a man with patience. I want to know more about Jake and why he waits 7 years honestly. There are so many layers to this story that I cannot wait, and I can’t wait to see how they actually happen. I’m expecting a slow build up like a fine wine and i cannot wait. Also, #richardisadick should be a thing and that whole martyr thing Jenna does, girl #bye. I’m even more infuriated at them in the first book. I’m wishing horrible things on him. Finally, give Willow an asshole please. She deserves to grovel a little for all the insensitive protectiveness she has in her. As you see I have a lot of requests. I thought I wasn’t going to be able to stomach Phillip dying because my husband has been deployed and it hit too close to home, but I disliked him so much ( even though I knew he loved her in his own way) that it was a balm to my soul and by that point I was already in love with Jake. Please release this book for Christmas okay? Thanks.

This is an emotional story as we learn about Dory’s past and why she acted the way she did in No One But You. Dory and Quincy were best friends and it was through her that she met and fell in her love with her brother Philip. This is a story of young love when you think you are invincible and that you will always be together but sometimes life takes you in different directions and it is how you handle the changes in life that make you the person that you are.

There is no doubting the deep love that Dory and Phillip had for each other, but this book is an example of the old adage that sometimes things happen for a reason and it is part of a bigger plan. Emotionally heartbreaking but uplifting at the same time this story takes you on a journey you won’t soon forget.

I've got a new, foaming-at-the-mouth/ can't-wait-for-more-words favorite series!!!! The Imperfect Hearts Series, by my super hot girl crush Alexandra Silva, is such a special series for me!
Though technically published second, For You will be the first book in this series, as it starts further back chronologically and introduces you to all of your new besties. But this isn't a "prequel" or at least it doesn't have that kind of feeling. Nope, this is the real deal- rip your heart out novel. The characters are amazing, and the emotions are LEGIT deep. Like, I cried y'all.
Ugly. Cried.
Sweet Dorian. *sniffles*
Don't tell Alex, though, she doesn't need that kind of power over me. Or to be aware of it, at least.
And to go ahead an forewarn all, it does not have an HEA for Dorian. It's not a cliffhanger either, though. Like I said, deeeeeep emotions.
Then when your heart is sufficiently maimed, we move on to Book 2, No One But You. Here we regroup with the whole gang from the first book, catch up on a few missing years, but really it's when fate finally steps in and fixes all the screw ups this merry crew of British misfits started many years before in For You.
I loved Jaime and Quincy in both books and I love their quirky, twisty road to happily ever after. And yes, we do get one here. Finally. Hooker. This couple is so special to me for 1) #secondchance I'm a sucker. 2) I was lucky enough to beta read on this project, so these two will always be dear to me.
But back to Dorian, we aren't done with her. She will be back and getting her HEA in Someone Like You, due to release early next year.
Or shall I say, SHE BETTER GET HER HEA ALEX OR I WILL SWIM ACROSS THE ATLANTIC AND BEAAT YOUR ...... You get the point. :*

Imperfect Hearts Series:Book One: For You (Dorian) releasing 9/27/18

Book Three: Someone Like You (Dorian) coming 2019

For You is the second book for this author and continues with the story of Dorian and Quincy’s brother Phillip and starting with the when Jamie announces he is going to America. If you haven’t read the first book you need to do so for it to make sense.

The story also adds some more background knowledge to the character’s college and earlier relationship years giving us some insight into each one. This is a must for Phillip seeing as he can’t do it any other way.

Some fabulous humour can be found in the story, for example when Dorian is describing Willow-“Always so eager to get going, that our mother ended up going into labour almost four weeks early. I’d say I was to blame too, but she was the first out and I flat out refused. In the end they had to get me out through the sunroof via C-section.” 😂 Likewise there is incredible heartbreak too, you know it’s coming but this author does such a great job you find yourself fully immersed in the scenes and going through every emotion. There were times as well that I could have cheerfully slapped Phillip too! Plus the intimacy is red hot but doesn’t overpower the story.

The story is fast paced and flowed smoothly making it super easy to read and not want to put down! You can really see how far this author has come in her writing just from her first book to this second one. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and am already looking forward to the next book in the series.

When I first started reading this book I was a little confused. Then I realized it began before book one letting us know Dorian's story. This begins with flashes and memories of special moments and it's refreshing to see where her and Phillip begin and end. It fills in and answers so many questions and it just breaks your heart. The story is filled with love and anguish. Pain and gains, support and turmoil and acceptance. It's also the beginning of Dorian and Jake. So much happens there's no way to capture it all in a review but this prequel is so skillfully told and not in the normal way. This author is showing right from the start that she knows how to create characters in a way that touches you to the very core and leaves you reeling long after the story is done. It is an amazing read ad yeah there's a part where you need to grab your tissues and protect your kindle. There's a time when those hairs stand up and you know it's not going to end well. This isn't Dorian and Phillips hea, it's their story.

4.5 ⭐

This is the second book by Alexandra Silva. I really loved her debut "No One But You" and "For You" did not disappoint.

This is Dorians and Phillips story and it's not an easy one but another beautiful one. Dorian and Phillip have known each other most of their lives through their families. But this is not only a friends-to-lovers story, there's also this whole best-friends-younger-sister/best-friends-older-brother theme and I love it. Dorian is an amazing young woman and she loves Pip deeply. Phillip is a little bit selfish and I had the feeling he doesn't appreciate the woman in his life. He makes a lot of questionable decisions and a few times I was so sorry for Dorian. What's not questionable is the love they feel for each other. And to be honest, relationships and marriages aren't always happy and good. There are struggles and fights and other opinions. In the end only love and trust counts. And it does. Until Dorian has to let go and live with all the consequences of Phillips decisions.

This story is heart-breaking and gut-wrenching but oh so beautiful. There's no happy end in the traditional sense but I loved this story anyway. There's so much love and emotion in every word the author writes and I can't wait to read "Someone Like You" because Dorian deserves an enormous HEA😍. I love Alexandra's writing style, it's engrossing and enjoyable and I need a lot more.

To say I was excited for this “novella” would be an understatement. I absolutely adored No One But You and was thrilled to know we were going to get a glimpse into the past that would tell us about Dorian and Pip. How often can you say you know how a book ends before you have even read it? This was the case with For You. Knowing this, I still went in with an open heart ready to accept whatever Dory and Pip gave me. Alexandra is a talented writer who makes you laugh out loud at the funny moments, smile goofy with the happy and feel deeply sad during moments that break your heart. And my heart was indeed broken. I know it will get put back together in the next book and I can not wait!

Dorian and Philip's story is definitely not an easy one. There's a whole lot of emotions in this one so be sure to have your tissues handy. I have to say though that I'm glad the author went this way. Not all love stories are sunshine and rainbows and sometimes bad things happen. My heart broke for these characters and I recommend if you're looking for a book that will give you a good cry.

I received an arc of this book.

For You is Book 2 in the Imperfect Hearts series and somewhat of a prequel to Someone Like You which releases Jan. 31, 2019. The Imperfect Hearts series definitely should be read in order to get the full impact of this lovely and beautiful set of stories. The series itself revolves around siblings Jamie, Dorian and Willow Anson and Quincy and Phillip Cavendish, their friends, family and significant others. It follows them through trials and tribulations, love and loss, highs and lows. The writing is superb and the pull of emotions strong. Without giving too much away, I thoroughly enjoyed For You and the entire series. I highly recommend it and look forward to what comes next.

I was so excited to get to know Dory, when I met her in No One But You, I just knew I’d fall in love with her strength. She definitely did not disappoint.

I’m not really sure what I was expecting to learn of her & Phillip’s Love story. It surely wasn’t the fact that I’d spend more time than not being angry at Pip. Even Dory said it herself... How can you hate someone you love so much? I was so saddened by the choices Phillip made and how much he shattered Dorian’s world.

But alas, she prevailed. She made it through the toughest of times. (Although she had me crying right along with her.)

I loved the little glimpses of Jake I got throughout this story. It makes me even more excited for their HEA!

Of course I gave this baby 5 STARS!!!

This is the beginning of Dorian story. We met her in NOBY and if you were not curious about her life then what's wrong with you?!?!

Here we see why Dory is Dory, what made her close off to emotion (except that of her son and family). Life isn't always roses and what you once thought of as forever is no more.

Alex develops these characters and storylines with such panache, I totally admire you.

Dory (Dorian) and Phillip's (Pip) story is an emotional roller coaster. It starts when they're young and already know each other, and spans years into adulthood. Apparently Pip's sister Quincy is one of Dory's best friends, and it's made things a tad uncomfortable. To make matters worse, Dory's brother, Jamie, is one of Phillip's best friends. What a soap opera world we've got here! But it works out and Pip and Dory take the plunge, finally, after a lot of back and forth, a lot of angst, and things are finally going well. Then Pip drops a bombshell on her - he's going to Africa to further his medical training. Um, OK? Not really, but Dory's nothing if not patient and understanding. And when he comes back, he's changed. And things with his sister make things worse because Phillip doesn't approve of her new man. Sigh...

Then boom, something tragic happens. And when I say tragic, I mean TRAGIC, the kind of tragic you can't come back from. But the epilogue leads me to believe that Dory will be OK. I hope so. I hope that means another story is coming for her because if her story ends here, that would just suck because she deserves so much better than for it to end that way.

So why the 4 stars? Well, it's well-written for the most part, and the characters are superbly drawn. The pacing was a bit draggy in the middle, though, and I skimmed, I'll admit it. I wanted to smack Phillip more than once for his flighty, immature, commitment phobic choices and how those choices affected not just Dory, but all those who loved him. Let's just say he wasn't my favorite character and leave it at that. Dory, though, is perfect. I love her and really hope there's more to come for her!

Take great care where and when you read this achingly beautiful and emotionally charged story from Alexandra Silva, as you are bound to suffer torrential ugly cries and need copious boxes of tissues!

This somewhat prequel, somewhat full length novella story of Dorian and Phillip will confuse readers if they have not already read No One But You, as it seems to have trouble finding it's place in line with that story, and as such does jump around a little.
But this is a story those of us that did read Quincy and Jamie's story have been longing for, and it's a case of be careful what you wish for because Ms Silva delivers on the glorious love story and heart breaking eventuality that is Dory and Pip.

I just loved Dory, she is my champion in this book.
Such a strong, sensual, deeply emotional and otherworldly wise character, I ached for her and felt every tear of her emotional journey throughout this classic tale of love and loss.
You cannot deny hers and Phillips love, as it is so sublimely portrayed by the author, but I found myself wanting to intervene; to protect her somehow from the pain she endures, such is the connection I felt through Ms Silva's words.

Phillip on the other hand, was different from what I had expected from the glimpse of him we got from Book 1.
He's deeply passionate and his love for Dory is unquestionable, but his commitment is mercurial and hints at a troubled flighty soul, making him difficult to really get behind, particularly when I'd clearly signed my allegiance to "Team Dory".

The supporting characters in this tale all show their rich personalities throughout this rollercoaster ride of emotions, blending the story well to No One But You, and we get to see more of the building connection between Jake and Dory to set the stage for them in coming offerings from Ms Silva.
I for one, am waiting impatiently for the next chapter in the Imperfect Hearts series!

I sit here waiting to type out a review. And feeling ... adrift in what to write. Having read No One But You and stealing the words of another reviewer - this is a prequel of sorts to the Imperfect Hearts world.

If you read No One But You, this is Dorian and Phillip's story. The one that was secondary to Quincy and Jaime. The one that happened 'before' and 'during' their up and down romance. Knowing this, read the blurb. Knowing No One But You realize this isn't a HEA. But maybe finding a new happy in the end.

As following any debut author, you want to see their craft honed and storytelling voice strengthened. Ms. Silva has done that in leaps and bounds with For You. She takes an emotional storyline, gives it strength and power through the words of her characters. She intersperses the humor to give levity when it is needed. Readers will find Dorian's character depth to move onto the next in the series.

Now, comes my recommendation section. I'd like to say this is a ode to those who've read No One But You and like a view into backstories. Anxiously awaiting book 3 now.

I read this series out of order. I read this novella first then book 1. Normally, when reading the second book, I'm left a bit confused or it takes me a chapter or two to understand the characters. I understood the characters more by starting with this novella since book 2 is actually a prequel to Someone Like you which I will be reviewing in the next day or two.

For You gives background about Dorian and Phillip...and a small bit about Quincy and Jamie since Jamie and Phillip are best friends as are Dorian and Quincy. There were moments I wanted to throttle both Phillip and Dorian. I won't go into details about those moments since I don't want to spoil the book or any plot points for others. Phillip really ticked me off. Yes, he's studying to be a doctor. Yes, it is admirable that he volunteered with an organization in Africa. But his timing was beyond wrong. He showed Dorian love and admiration but it was only on his terms. Due to that it left Dorian out of sorts and at times feeling unloved--no unattractive. It messed with her self-esteem.

At the beginning of the story, Phillip and Dorian's love story is cute and very high school sweetheart type of story. Phillip attends London University instead of the prestigious Oxford University just to be closer to Dorian. He remains close to her until he volunteers in Africa. Something changes. Phillip changes a bit. He's not the same person as he was before he left. He's restless. Not satisfied in his medical training, Dorian wonders if he's restless in their relationship too. He still has moments where he showers her with his love. Deep meaningful looks, passionate kisses.

Phillip makes one decision that changes everyone's lives forever. It takes Dorian years to come to terms with his decision and move on.

I knew beforehand the ending of the story. I was prepared for it, but had I not read the blurb for book 3--Someone like you--I would have been devastated. Be prepared for a tear jerker. This short prequel will have you grabbing for the tissue box. It is NOT a happy ever after where the couple are blissfully happy. In a way, Dorian still gets an aspect of HEA but not in the traditional sense. I received this book as part of a promo for Someone Like You. I'm grateful the book promoter included it.

Let’s be honest, I’m at a stump after writing that damn letter of a review for book 1 😂 but let me get straight into this..
...

This is a novella... and it has some time-jumps. I feel like this book explores the norm of a relationship where you’re at a crossroad, not knowing if you’re ready to take the plunge or not. If you’re ready to have the talk. If you’re ready to get out of your stump. If you’re ready at all. There’s real emotions woven in this story. Experiencing the kind of life/relationship discovered in this book shows real hard truths. Fear for the unknown. Fear for the uncertainty. It was heartbreakingly real. And that’s what makes this book great. The realness of some choices and desires, priorities and circumstances we fall into. I was taught that “desires dictate our priorities, priorities shape our choices and choices determine our actions” (Dallin H Oaks). That’s TRUTH right there and this book explores this in a relationship situation. Rooting for Dor to have it all... whenever that’ll be! She deserves the freaking universe 🤞

So Dear Philip, if you were around, I would seriously hug you because no one can fault you of the real ness of your emotions. I would tell you everything will be okay so you can get out of stump, then put you to sleep with my right hook 😂! Regards, the crazy reviewer 😉

Sooooo good and so funny! I really liked it. I love the friendship between Dorian, Quincy, and Willow. Those ladies cracked me up! Willow is so outspoken; I love that she just says whatever she wants. She is definitely the crazy one out of the bunch. I feel like Dorian is the more serious one and Quincy really is a little of both. She knows how to have fun, says what she wants, but also has a serious side to her. I can’t wait to read more about their friendship in the upcoming releases.

As for, For You, I know this is considered a prequel to book one. But, I really wish it was released as the first book in the series. I feel that it gave me background between the characters that I would have liked prior to reading, No One But You. I think it would have been nice to know the full history between Jamie and Quincy before starting their story. I also think that For You would have been more of an emotional read for me if I didn't already know the outcome of Phillip and Dorian's story. I obviously still liked it, so it doesn't change my ratings, but I personally would recommend reading this first. However, if you do decide to read For You first and you absolutely don't want any spoilers, I would stop at the epilogue then go into No One But You. Once you're done with that, you can go back to the epilogue in For You. It would bring everything full circle and set you up for book 3 which, I'm so excited for!!!

Simply heartbreaking ... yet there is hope

Once again Alexandra Silva has written a beautiful and compelling story that will touch the deepest part of your heart and soul. For You is the prequel to No One But You, where we previously met Dorian and her family. For You is the background to Dorian's story, giving all the reasons as to why she is the person she has become.

Dorian's story is believable and and easy to relate to. Every emotion she experiences is real and will have your emotions taking the virtual rollercoaster ride. You will both laugh and cry with her, as Dorian experiences the highs and lows of being in love with Phillip. He genuinely loves Dorian, however he is extremely selfish and some of his decision making is really questionable.

This is not a HEA for Dorian and Phillip, instead it is a journey of two friends who love each other, but must live with the consequences of some bad decisions. It is a heartbreaking story, but it is one that must be read. There is some light at the end of the tunnel for Dorian, however that must wait for Someone Like You.

This was a sublime story. Beautiful in every sense of the word. Heartbreaking ,,, yet there was hope. Again Alexandra has written a story that I could not put down. She is definitely an author I recommend.

A breathtaking and beautiful journey that had me laughing, smiling and at times wiping those silent tears from my cheeks
It is the prequel to No One But You
All of the characters we love and a couple we would like to choke out are present and accounted for 😏
We accompany Dory and Pip as they journey through the ups and downs and sometimes sideways paths of life and love - and like real life, things do not always turn out as they planned but they find ways to move forward - to hold on to the good and learn from the bad
The story keeps a pretty steady flow and is easy to follow - the cast of characters is vivid - I felt so connected to them- you know when you catch yourself lifting your eyebrow at a character's comment, or smirking at something they did? yeah it was like that 😌
This is just one of those must-reads full of "lots of feels" kind of stories - Just go one click - I promise you will enjoy the journey 💖

For You was an absolutely stunningly beautiful story. My review definitely will not do this justice.

We meet Dorian in No One But You. I could tell from the first book that Dory would be a strong character and have quite the story to tell and I was right. This wasn't just your typical love story though, this brought us deep into her life, and brought us on this amazing journey that you just couldn't stop reading about.

While Phillip and Dorian's relationship was far from perfect, they loved deeply and it just felt real. This book was just everything I was hoping it would be an more. I went through a vary of emotions all of them bringing me to a smile on my face in the end. If you want a realistic story that is beautifully written, flows, and gives you all the feels, then this is the one for you!

For You by Alexandra Silva is the second book in the Imperfect Hearts series and a prequel to her No One But You book, which I absolutely loved. We got glimpses of Dory’s history in the previous book, but now we are right in the middle of it. Be prepared for an emotional and gripping story!

Even knowing some of the history, I was completely unprepared for this story. Dory and Philip’s journey was a difficult one. There is love, but also hurt and angst and so much more. Choices are made, and decisions that cannot be taken back. This was my second book by Alexandra Silva and I am now a huge fan. Alexandra writes heartfelt stories that made me feel every word I read. I am looking forward to reading more of her work.
