Football.

That’s all Liam Walsh knows how to do and if he were being honest, all he was ever really good at. Dedicating his entire life to the game has taken him to some pretty remarkable places and in less than twelve seconds it had also brought him within inches of his life. Taking a careless approach to his recovery hasn’t exactly been the best game plan he’d ever conjured up, but that didn’t mean management had to send an overbearing, spitfire assistant to get him back on the field. Certainly not one who favored stilettos and fine lingerie.

Emme McGovern believes in two things: Jesus and really good football.

An assistant on a national football team, she is constantly surrounded by men who think they can do her job better. Which is why she isn’t in the least bit surprised that the fate of her future now rests in the hands of a cranky, stubborn, arrogant football player on injured reserve. When Emme is offered an opportunity to make history, landing her and her Louboutin’s on Liam’s door step, what she finds isn’t just some football player. She doesn’t find a warm reception, either.

With the clocking winding down, Emme is determined to piece Liam back together, but as their long days turn into even longer nights, the game no longer becomes about promotions or a comeback story, but a matter of life or death. Will their time together have them laying it all on the field for their future? Or will it send them both running and begging for mercy?

This was a good read,I could hardly put this book down.

I didn't read the blurb before starting to read Mercy, because I trust Julianna Marley and her writing skills, and it took me on an emotional ride.
This story touched my heart,it felt so real it reminded me of Ryan Shazier (Steelers player) injury and I was very engaged in the story.

Liam and Emme journey was littered with hurdles but their strength, their stubbornness and also their fragility made them find their happiness.
I loved these characters and I cheered for them since the beginning.

I am so looking forward to reading the next installment of this series.

"Emme McGovern believes in two things: Jesus and really good football. " The good football part is true. The Jesus part not so much. There is no mention of it in the whole book and I honestly had no idea that Jesus was a part of Emme's life. If I hadn't read the blurb I wouldn't have believed it.

I loved that for once in a romance book is not the heroine the one who is supposed to leave everything behind and have the hero have his way. Liam was on board with this and it made me happy. I might have not liked his reaction when he found out the truth, but he was hurt and it's very understandable. If Emme had said something from day one, things would have been much better. These two have some very strong moments in this book and I it made up for some other stuff that wasn't so of my liking. Both of them were likable characters even if Liam is stubborn and miserable after his accident.

The author is new to me, but I am satisfied with her work on this book and I will keep an eye for her next releases. I hope they are as good as this one. The book is completely stand-alone. It's so stand-alone that I didn't feel the need to read the other books to read another couple's story of that I was missing something out. The other two couples are subtle enough which was fine in my opinion. I would recommend the book since I think that is worth giving it a shot.

To some people football is just a sport and to others it is life. In this new sports romance, Mercy by Julianna Marley, both Emme McGovern and Liam Walsh give everything to their team because without it they have nothing else. A great standalone that sets up nicely for the upcoming Mavericks series, this book was amazing in such an inspirational way, loaded with hilarious banter and plenty of sweet moments. I was hooked from the start with just the mention of football and easily got lost in the story, craving more with each turn of the page.

Emme McGovern is on track to becoming the league's first female General Manager for one of the top teams and her personal favorite, the Charleston Mavericks. I love how even though this is a fictional team the setting and all the details was pretty accurate. Emme is the type of person to see a goal and go above and beyond to make it happen and I absolutely loved her tough as nails persona. Only a few months left til the start of a new season presents a new challenge and the final obstacle standing in her way to the top but one Emme gladly accepts no questions asked, get the Mavericks star running back ready to play come kickoff.

Liam Walsh suffered a horrific injury that could have ended his career and his ability to walk. Everyday is still just as painful and with self doubt setting in, Liam is refusing anymore physical therapy and throwing in the towel. This part of the story was so sad to read about. Here you have someone who was top of his game with plenty more years to play reduced to barely getting out of bed because the pain from his hip is too great to feel. But with a combination of a no-nonsense attitude and persuasion about his job and the real possibility of being traded away, Emme starts to breakthrough Liam's defenses to the man that pushed beyond any limits to be the best for his team.

I love how the overall main theme of Mercy is about healing, and not just from an injury but from life in general. Emme and Liam are more similar than they realized and have ended up on the same path with work being the only thing important to both of them and never once thinking what would happen if that was gone. These two complimented each other really well with learning to open up their hearts and also realize that it's ok to not always be perfect in front of everywhere. What I also loved about Mercy was the sense of family from the Mavericks team, both from players and their significant others to the management. Everyone seems so close and ready to lend a helping hand without having to think about it. I look forward to seeing more of these secondary characters in their future books and since I easily fell in love with Mercy, I know what Julianna Marley has in store will be just as fantastic.

4 star Review Mercy (The Mavericks Series) by Julianna Marley

Julianna Marley is a new author to me.

All Liam Walsh knows is football and when he is injured he doesn’t take his recovery seriously enough for the team’s management, so they decide to send in someone to assist him.

The last thing Liam expects is Emme McGovern, an assistant for the football team who is sent to help him. Liam does not want or need is Emme hanging around.

Emme is determined to get Liam back to where he needs to be, no matter the cost. That is until the chemistry and attraction sparked between them bursts into flames. When push comes to shove, will they be prepared to risk it all for a future together or will they crash and burn as the pressure mounts?

I actually liked Liam even though he was a bit of a jerk on occasion and I loved the stubborn, determined, feisty nature of Emme.

When you know your worth, you have nothing to prove to anyone else. Marley brings a powerful message to the table with Mercy. Emme and Liam are about to learn what it means to be true to themselves. If you believe with your heart in everything that you do, the rest will fall in to place. With wonderful characters and meaningful story, Marley scores a straight shot to the heart.

Emme McGovern is one the hardest working women around, and she wont stop working until her dream is achieved. For as long as she can remember she has had a plan, a goal, a dream to takeover as the GM for The Mavericks Football team. She has put her life into her job, her boss, and this team. And she's ready to take over, to show herself and everyone around that she would kick major butt, watching over the team that she loves dearly.

When her boss throws a kink in her plan, in the form of a tall, stubborn, gorgeous and injured football star, Emme knows she'll be finding herself working even harder, and potentially laying her career in the hands of a man who does not want her help.

Liam Walsh, star running back for the Carolina, Mavericks, is spiraling. Months ago he took a blow to his body and his career. One that has the possibility of ending his career way before he is ready. The road to his comeback, is a dark one. His recovery is not coming along as fast as he, his team or his bosses thought. And the more time he finds himself off the field, the harder it is for him to find any ounce of strength to put his body back together.

Liam wants to get back on his own time, but that isn't whats in store for him, when a small, firecracker, with plum hair, high heels for days and a take charger presence storms into his life. Emme McGovern has been sent to pick him up, dust him off and make sure he takes the right steps to get back on the field. But Liam finds himself arguing with her more then getting his life back on track.

The chemistry between them becomes more apparent the more time they spend together. But both Liam and Emme have a job to do, so falling into any kind of relationship is the last thing they need. A Tropical storm, butting heads, and a pull between them that keeps growing stronger, have Emme and Liam second guessing themselves and their plans again and again.

Emme and Liam are fantastic. They are a pair, who individually are strong, hard working and so lovable, but together they are magic. Not only do they compliment each other so well, their passion, their back and forth, laughs and the set backs that they face alone and together make them even better, stronger.

Liam is right up there with Jax and Shay as being beyond swoon-worthy! He was so great to read. Sexy, sweet, broken. A man having to fight through the pain and dark, to remember who he was and what he wanted for the future. He was so strong and overcame so much. He holds a special place as my favorite right next to Jax. (Jax is still my number one though!) Emme is a doll! I love her personality. I also loved her strength and drive and how she carried herself. She was who she was, went after what she wanted. And she wasn't going to let anything hold her back. She was a total sweetheart.

MERCY is a must read! The Mavericks is one of my FAVORITE sports romance series. I love all these characters new and old! Getting to see everyone I fell in love with in the first two books again was so fun, and meeting new characters that I can't wait to get more of. There was so many moments that made me clutch my chest with how dang sweet and perfect it was, and smile so big every time I turned the page, cause I was getting more of the MAVERICKS!

I just love Julianna Marley's writing. It so captivating and keeps you hooked each page. She brings so much life to her characters, characters and stories that I get so invested in. You feel part of the Mavericks world. And I find myself never wanting to leave. Mercy was such a beautiful, entertaining and sweet book to get lost in.

From an very early age Liam Walsh fell in love with the game of football, and lucky for him it was something that he excelled at, and before long it was all he wanted to do with his life... become a pro football player. He worked hard, played ball at all levels, and was lucky enough to find a team in the big leagues, by all intents and purposes, he is living that childhood dream. But then in the blink of an eye it was all gone, one hit and one devastating injury, and now he is completely lost and close to spiraling out of control. In his mind all he can think is that it's over, his hip will never quite be the same, he'll never compete at the level he was before. So, he drowns himself in pity and painkillers, and gives up on repairing the injury. And that sends off little red flags to his teammates and team owner. They aren't about to let him give up, so they send the one person they are certain can whip him back into shape... their best weapon, Emme McGovern.

The moment Emme comes breezing through Liam's front door his jaw not only hits the floor, but his patience starts to dissipate, no way in heck is he letting some woman come in and micromanage him! She begins to bark orders, force him to attend therapy, and lay out ultimatums. He knows some of what she is saying is true, but he is not a man to take orders, so it's in his nature to fight her at every turn. But the more he is around her, the more his resistance starts to slip and before long the unwavering alpha male is buckling to her commands, and losing his heart every step of the way too!

This one was a killer on my heart, watching Liam struggle to find his way after his injury, and failing, was tough to take. It was heartbreaking to watch him realize the one thing he loved the most was slipping away from him, and he couldn't do a darn thing about it. But I also thoroughly enjoyed watching Emme storm into his life, and whip him back into shape. He was as alpha as they come, but she was a force to be reckoned with, and he tried his darnedest to fight her, but his resistance was futile to her beautiful eyes and killer smile! This was such a wonderful addition to the series, it came with Ms. Marley's trademark wit and her heartfelt words, but her sexy wounded alpha really sealed the deal for him, Liam brought so much life, and steam, to the pages! Once I met him I just couldn't bring myself to walk away until I knew he found his happily ever after. If you are a sports romance fan I highly suggest you take a chance on this one, it comes brimming with heat and heart... and much, much, more!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The sensuality, hope & love in it made for good, comfort reading.

I loved Emme's character immediately from the first time she mentioned her ambitions. Setting aside the obvious cliches - woman in a man's world, everyone else having babies and getting married, etc. - I genuinely liked her determination and grit. She went after her goals and passions because it was what she wanted - she didn't have anything to prove to anybody. Falling for Liam Walsh wasn't on her To-Do List, but when he landed on there, he made it difficult for her to get rid of him.

You can't help but feel Liam's pain, frustration & anger as he struggles to find a new normal after his possible career-ending and almost life-threatening injury. His life now exists in the Before The Hit & After The Hit phases. He's gripped football so tightly as a crutch that he doesn't know what will happen if he doesn't have it anymore. He knows it's wrong to hide from his future, his friends and his team, but an overwhelming sense of guilt and despair cloak him. When Emme, the tiny, high-heeled firecracker the team's management sends over tips his life upside down, he begins wishing for things he never knew he could want or even have... But could she want them, too?

As Emme & Liam figure out that they need each other more than they first realise, their story reminds us that sometimes, a push is all we need to find ourselves again, and that though life messes with our heads sometimes, love goes a long way towards seeing us through to the other side.

I highly recommend this book.

Five Fantastic Stars!

I’m going to be honest and say that this was my first Julianna Marley book and I don’t know why I hadn’t read any before this because this book was so good! And I have a feeling I’ll love the first two in this series as well. (Goes and adds to my ever growing tbr list.)

Mercy is about Liam Walsh and Emme McGovern

Emme McGovern is the assistant to the General Manager for the Carolina Mavericks, she plans to climb up one more rung of the ladder when her boss retires. She is very good at her job, it’s her life. No time for relationships Emme works her little bum off, until one day her boss has her doing a job she never thought she had to do. Babysitter for Liam Walsh.

Liam Walsh was one of the best players for the Mavs. He was in the height of his career until one hit, one hit will have changed his entire world. Months after Liam was hit and was injured he still hasn’t progressed and the GM sends a sure of herself babysitter to help with his recovery.

These two start off rough and have a hatred but with time, healing and love everything changes. We watch as walls come down and we watch as love blooms.

I enjoyed this book and know that it will check all the boxes of a sports romance reader. it’s emotional, great build up, and two people who need each other.

Highly recommended.

I'm a big fan of Julianna Marley and The Maverick Series. Mercy is Liam Walsh's story and how he handles a life-changing injury that could end his football career. This story is filled with emotions that had me swiping the pages with either tears or smiles. The slow sexual tease in the story is soo hot, the sexy banter is funny and the moments that lead to love is heartfelt.

Liam closes himself off and refuses therapy physically and mentally. This football player is stubborn, strong and sexy but has a load of guilt, blame, and doubt that weighs him down. The nightmares and fears that Liam has, have him wanting to keep himself a prisoner to medication and in his own home. That's until a beautiful assistant to GM of the Mavericks football team is asked to make sure that their star player is ready for the new season.

Emme McGovern is such a strong woman, she is short but not afraid to stand up to the biggest men on and off the football field. Emme's tenacity makes her so sexy and a friend that one wants on their side. Emme is given an opportunity to further her career, it's everything that she has ever dreamed of. What cost will she go to to get the promotion and will her heart be able to survive?

Mercy is such an inspirational story of healing and the sexiness is a bonus. I'm so HAPPY that this is a series of football players because I 'm so ready for the next player in line.

Julianna Marley is a new author to me and I’m really struggling to understand why she hasn’t crossed my radar before I picked up Mercy because if this book is anything to go by she is going to hit my must read authors sooner rather than later.
Liam Walsh has a promising future playing football for a living his entire life has been dedicated to the game but in less than 12 seconds it all came to a end and he nearly lost his life......
Emme McGovern beleives in two things Jesus and good football and she has spent her entire working life with a plan and that’s to run the team when her boss retires what she doesn’t expect is to be asked to help Liam recover from the devestating injury that could cost him his career......
Emme is determined to piece Liam back together but is that for the teams benifit or hers , what happens when two people with sizzling chemistry spent all their days and some of their nights together well I guess you need to read the book to find that out. If you love sports romance you need to read this book and I need to read the other books in the series. I love sports romance especially when you get the perfect mix of love, humour and cranky and I love finding new authors especially when they are as talented as Julianna Marley. Looking forward to reading more from this author.

Mercy is the first book that I've read by Julianna Marley, and I definitely couldn't get enough of it. It's the story of Liam Walsh, who has dedicated his entire life to football, so when a bad injury sidelined him, it did damage to more than just his body. He starts to take a bad approach to his recovery, and that's when upper management sends Emme McGovern to his door to oversee everything. She's a spitfire in heels that won't take no for an answer, and she gets on his last nerve. Emme is surrounded by men who think they can do her job better, so Liam won't scare her off, especially since her future hinges on his recovery. So she's determined to make sure he is put back together, but as they spend time together, it's not about her future or his comeback anymore. So yeah, football & sexy romance, two of my favorite things together. Liam was a bit cranky at first, but at least he wasn't too mean, and Emme was my hero completely. Together, they had sparks, that finally led to super sexy times that lit the sheets on fire. And of course, there was the drama with a twist or two to make me sweat, which took the story in a direction that I really didn't see coming. So all in all, it was a great story that I devoured in one sitting, while super excited to read more in this series, and HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Mercy was an entertaining football romance between injured defensive back Liam and assistant manager Emme. He's struggling and shutting down after an injury that could be career-ending when she's sent by the team's GM to essentially get him with his PT/recovery program. Her promotion depends on it.

Naturally, Liam hates the intrusion and having Emme be there as a babysitter, but eventually he sees that he is starting to feel better physically with her pushing him to his PT appointments, and he eases up on how nasty he is toward her. And because this is an enemies-to-lovers story, feelings soon develop between Liam and Emme. But she's hiding from him the fact that her promotion to GM depends on him getting of of the injured reserve list... will her lie of omission end their romantic relationship before it really gets started?

Mercy was a quite enjoyable story from a new-to-me author, proving that sometimes the thing you fear the most may lead to something you never knew that you wanted. Liam's injury not only forces him to reevaluate his life's goals, but it gives Emme a different perspective on the path her life is taking, and whether that's what she really wants. And how adorable was surly Liam when it came to the sweet rescue dog! Love!

Julianna Marley is a new to me author and I enjoyed my first experience reading her work.

Liam Walsh suffers an injury that unfortunately some athletes fall victim off. He's feeling sorry for himself and a bit depressed, I believe. He decides to stop therapy and perhaps wait for a miracle to help him recover. The management of the team he plays for is not happy and they sent feisty Emme McGovern to get his butt in gear and get back on the road to recovery. In Emme Liam met his match, he'll fight her to get back on track but she'll fight with the same strength or harder to get him to understand what the disadvantages are of not taking care of your body.

I liked the story and I really loved Emme's determination to accomplished her mission with Liam. The thing is, from the very beginning Emme had ulterior motives to get behind Liam's recovery, which kind of bothered me a bit, I feel like she should've had been honest with him from the get go and avoid the man even more pain. Yes, Liam was a grouch at times, but he was hurting, and as a professional athlete he knew the damage his body had suffered, he knew that the possibility of a complete recovery was slim. All and all the characters did have great chemistry and were a good match.

The book has great flow and the writing is exceptional. If you're a fan a football, you'll really like this story.

Liam is a broken man after taking a horrible hit on the football field. He almost died and is recuperating, but he is also pushing everyone away. Now that his football career, all he has ever known, might be over, he has given up. Emme wants to become the first woman to be in charge of an NFL team, which she will achieve if she can get Liam to continue his physical therapy and be ready for the following season. Liam doesn't want her there and kicks her out, but she keeps showing up.
As they get to know each other, due in large part to her persistence, sparks begin to fly. Even though they are both exceptionally stubborn, they start to knock down each others walls. They both are keeping secrets from the other which could make them hate each other. He starts opening up to her, and she to him (to a degree).
A strong, broken man who needs to learn that being a football player isn't the only thing he is good for and a strong, independent woman who needs to realize that her job isn't her life make a wonderful, emotional read she cared about him as more than a means to her job promotion.
This is a new author to me, and even though, this isn't the first in the series, I didn't feel lost. In fact, I want to read the other books in the series. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest, voluntary review.

Julianna blew me away with this one and it was hard to put down once I started. Emme and Liam are my new favorite couple. Emme is assistant to Bill Mathis the Mavericks General manager and loves her job she is firm but fair and knows how to handle all the guys. Liam is one of the Mavericks star players and takes a devasting hit in the finals leaving him with a shattered hip and concussion. FOur months later his life consists of popping pain pills and physical therapy five days a week. He's had enough of all the pain and wants to give up and lay on the couch popping pain pills and binge-watching Netflix.
Mathis is worried about his player and sends his assistant Emme along to sort Liam out and make sure he's going okay and attending all his appointments as he should be. Liam is not very welcoming at this tornado who blasts her way into his home and starts ordering him around. He tries to make her feel unwelcome and comes up with ways of his own to get rid of her. I received a copy (thank you) to do an honest review for Naughty Nightie Book Blog). This book has everything love, laughs and even some tears you won't be disappointed and be prepared for a book hangover.

"I didn't know what to expect going in to this book as I have not read anything by Julianna Marley before. Sports romance novels are my favourite genre, so that was what hooked me in the first place. This book has little to no on field action as the story is based in the off season, but this didn't worry me at all as what Liam was going through was paramount to the story.
The story itself is an exceptional read. I loved every thing about it. The characters were great. I especially enjoyed reading Emme. She was a take charge no nonsense kind of woman, and I liked how she went about living life on her terms.
Liam is the perfect man for her. Their relationship started off rocky, and at times I was laughing at Emme's antics into getting Liam to cooperate.
After reading this book I would definitely love to read more from this author.

I kindly received an arc for an honest review

Emme and Liam are an absolutely beautiful pair! I loved the emotions in this book, the struggle for Liam. Which is a real struggle for professional athletes! I also appreciate all the research Julianna is doing for her stories! I don’t hate anything more than wrong facts, especially in a sports romance, but you won’t find one in her book. So let’s just think she breathes football 🏈 😉
Emme is working on her goal to become GM of the Carolina Mavericks. But first she must get Liam Walsh back on the field, who got hit very hard at his last game. Liam got a little off track in his recovery time, afraid to be done with his professional career.

Another beautiful well written story by Julianna Marley.
If you like football, sports romance, lots of love and feelings, ‘seeing’ characters from former stories again, than the Maverick Series is definitely it for you!!

I'm a huge fan of sports romance, and adore The Mavericks Series, and Mercy did not disappoint.

Mercy is Emme McGovern and Liam Walsh's story.

Emme is a strong, sassy and intelligent heroine. Working as an assistant to the general manager of the Mavericks, Emme has aspirations to take his job. Working in a male dominated field she shows just how ambitious, determined and hard working she can be when it comes to going after what she wants.

Liam is a football, injured whilst playing he's overwhelmed, cranky, angry and frustrated at the lack of progress in his recovery. He's a damaged hero who is very reluctant to ask or accept help from the pint sized, feisty Emme.

This title is emotional, with a chemistry that is sizzling hot.

I love that although you can read Mercy as a standalone, the previous characters appeared quite frequently within the story line, and that their stories continued to grow and develop within this title.

I highly recommend this title to anyone who enjoys a sports romance with strong themes of friendship, family and love.

I will be eagerly awaiting future additions to this entertaining and engaging series.

I received a review copy of the book before release for an honest review.
This book was very different than any other book about an NFL player I have read before. It really takes on the nastier side of the sport.

Emme is a woman with power for The Maverick's football team. She is an assistant to the manager and he is retiring soon.Liam was their star quarterback until a spinal injury. He is not doing great at all and Emme's boss asks her to whip him into shape. And she does. It is stubborn meets stubborn and the two form a friendship and partnership.

But if Emme is made manager and Liam is a quarterback, they cannot be together. This is primarily Liam's story. He is in a very bad place after his injury and is having a big pity party.

He really grows in this story and I could not stop reading as he has some huge decisions before him. These two were great friends while Emme really helps him change for the better.

Mercy by Julianna Marley a five-star read that will play you. This was my first read by this author and it won’t be my last, I plan on going and picking up the rest of the Mavericks series as if they are all as well written as this was then I can’t wait to read them. The pain Liam Walsh faces in these pages is palpable to you, you can feel his pain and still want to kick him up the behind to get him out of his funk. Emme McGovern took a little for me to warm up to, but once I did and I saw the whole her I couldn’t believe it, she was brilliant and so driven, once she realised what she wants she is going for it and I love that about her. They say good things come in small packages and they most certainly were right when they said that. Will the field get what it needs in the end? Or will love win all? Thank you Julianna Marley for being a great author.

If you've read any of the books in the Mavericks series then you have met both Liam and Emme. Liam is the big goofball on the team. He is the one that everyone loves. But when his accident happens Liams spark seemed to go out. Then enter Emme. She is one smart cookie within the Mavericks organization. She is the one to look out for. Emme has this way to push Liam and just wow does she not put up with any crap. I love Emme and Liam together. They just fit so well. The give and take these two have is amazing. Mercy is such a fantastic read. If you love football reads then this right here is one to pick up. In fact if you haven't done so already pick up the entire series. I can't get enough of The Mavericks organization. Julianna Marley has this way of making you feel like you are apart of the Mavericks family. I couldn't put this one down.

5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review

I love a good sports romance. Mercy by Julianna Marley was just that and so much more. I've had the pleasure of reading Julianna's books a couple of times and I must say that this is by far my favorite book.

Liam has lived and loved football for a very long time. When an injury sidelines him and he doesn't take his recovery seriously, the team steps in and send someone who will assist with just that. Emme, good grief she has her hands full. She's in a world dominated by men and she has to show her worth. What I loved most was watching these two figure out that they needed each other more than they realized. I love watch two people fall. I loved when they finally give in to what is meant to be. Watch that with Liam and Emme was pure magic.

I loved this book from start to finish. Please check it out.

What I liked/Didn’t Like: An emotional ride of a book. I loved the plotline and the characters as well. Written to keep you turning the pages with the obstacles that the characters face. You just can’t help but to keep reading to see what they will overcome next. A very well written story.

Liam Walsh, a player for the Carolina Mavericks has basically only been good at one thing ever, and that is football. A season and possibly career ending injury has him moping around and not quite himself. Emme McGovern, assistant to general manager of the Carolina Mavericks, has been tasked with making sure Liam gets his act together and gets back on the field. Emme is a pretty awesome character. She's no nonsense, to the point, goal - oriented, and kind of hanging tough in a man's world.

I want more of Liam and Emma. I was not ready for this book to be over. This was my first Julianna Marley book, and I immediately went and added the rest of this series to my TBR list. A sports romance must read.
