Sunday lunch today was amazing, arrived within 10min and was cooked to perfection, once again all the staff were so attentive even though they was all busy being as we arrived at 2.30pm, will definitely be returning very soon, thanks guys.

Spent a couple of Sunday’s here now with friends and had Roast Dinner both times which I thought was definitely a cut above others I’ve had elsewhere. Pleasant service too.

The Betsey’s plant-based offerings have got even better with The Portabello breakfast - the best avocado on sourdough I’ve ever had, mushrooms, beans, sweet potato hash, tomatoes... I could hardly eat it all (and I have a HUGE appetite). Been craving it ever since, I’ll be back soon!! My friend was also delighted with her brekkie with salmon and eggs. Truly a menu to suit everyone.

We rocked up last night having not booked but were lucky to get a table for two in the bustling restaurant. Marvellous menu for a fussy eater like myself. I particularly enjoyed the crayfish risotto. Love the extension to the building and new very 'on trend' décor. We could not fault the service at all. A very enjoyable impulsive visit.

Just to say this pub is a very good place to eat and the staff are very accommodating. We arrived at 7pm with no reservation and they did all they could to get us a table. Food was delicious as always and the pub itself is full of character and just a pleasant place to be.

A true gem

I ate here with a large group so had low expectations but was very pleasantly surprised. The building is attractive and features an open plan kitchen so you can watch the food preparation. Virtually everyone enjoyed their meal - my partner said his calamari and pork belly were very good and, as a vegetarian for well over 40 years, I was impressed by the 'cauliflower steak'. It was a thick slice of tastily charred cauliflower on spicy hummus, topped with beans, courgettes and whole grains. Totally delicious and one of the best meals I've had anywhere. Staff were pleasant and service was good too

I just want to say a massive thank you to the staff on Tuesday. I got married and had a very small family lunch to celebrate and the staff was so helpful with my toddler who has lots of allergies. Beautiful setting and lovely atmosphere.
