The Pink Picnic is Salford’s annual Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans & Non-binary, plus pride celebration. The event takes place in Peel Park, Salford and is organised and delivered by Salford Pride.

 

Our mission is to work to build a stronger, diverse community that celebrates inclusion and equality; where LGBT+ people are represented, thrive and live authentically, in our city and beyond.

Salford Pride is a charity, we encourage you to donate to help us continue to bring you a great day out at this year’s Pink Picnic in Peel Park.

A range of ticket types are available including PinkPLUS & PinkPASS.

The Pink Picnic takes place between 1pm and 8pm, with PinkPLUS & PinkPASS ticket holders gaining faster ticket check access from 12:30. Last entry to the event space is 6pm.

Please be advised FREE tickets are limited to one adult or one adult plus one child per person.

A SELECTION OF TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE

PinkPLUS tickets give access to faster ticket check gates, early access from 12:30, a private PinkPLUS area with posh toilets, private bar, two drinks, a goody bag and the opportunity to meet a selection of our headline artists.

PinkPASS tickets provide access to faster ticket check gates, early acceess from 12:30, PinkPASS toilets and 10% of select vendors.

Accessibility tickets and children tickets are also available.

THE HISTORY OF THE PINK PICNIC

The Pink Picnic first started in 2011 as The Peel Park Pink Picnic. Many years later the event has grown into both a national and international recognised pride celebration, that attracts thousands of attendees from across Greater Manchester and beyond, becoming Greater Manchester’s largest grassroots pride celebration.


THE IMPACT OF THE PINK PICNIC SINCE 2011

Since the beginning, The Pink Picnic has had a positive impact for LGBT+ people and the communities within the City of Salford and beyond. Check out the long term impact The Pink Picnic has had for the diverse communities of Salford since its conception.

The Pink Picnic 2023 sold over 8,500 tickets attracting over 8,000 guests from across Greater Manchester and beyond.

It all begins with an idea. The Pink Picnic first started in 2011 from the idea to have a get together in the park. The event has grown into Salford’s annual LGBT+ Pride celebration. Salford Pride needs the communities help to be able to keep the event free for all to attend year on year.
