Japanese rocker HYDE is set to release his highly anticipated new solo album in June.
The visual-kei veteran announced the release of his upcoming new album, called anti, to fans at the end of his 20th anniversary concert at Zepp Tokyo on Sunday (March 24).
After relaunching his solo endeavors last June, the L’Arc-en-Ciel frontman has released five singles including his latest number, “MAD QUALIA,” the image song of Capcom’s new video game Devil May Cry 5.
Five versions of anti will be released: CD only, CD plus Blu-ray of live footage, CD plus DVD of music videos and lyric videos, CD with a concept booklet, and a box set equipped with all of the above plus merch.
The songs on the new album will also drop digitally May 3, over a month ahead of the physical release, to coincide with HYDE’s U.S. tour kicking off May 5. The “WHO’S GONNA SAVE US” singer will perform at the Welcome to Rockville festival in Jacksonville, Fla., then play 13 dates including a May 12 Japan Night concert in New York and the final solo headlining show May 26 in Los Angeles.
