Cancellations and Substitutions

Cancellations, refund requests and requests to substitute attendees must be made by the individual event registrant and can be e-mailed to our Customer Service Department at CustomerService@OctoberResearch.com or call 330.659.6101 x 805.

  • There is no charge to substitute attendees for the 2024 NS3 conference.
  • We do not offer registration rollovers to a different year.
  • There is no charge to shift your registration fees to an October Research publication subscription or to the registration fee for the 2024 Women’s Leadership Summit (WLS), but we must be notified prior to May 1, 2024.

Please see the cancellation schedule below:

  • Cancellation requests received on or before April 1, 2024 are eligible for a full refund minus a $150 processing fee.
  • Cancellations received on or after April 2, 2024 and for no-shows, no refund will be provided.

Program Shift to a Virtual Event

If NS3 2024 is forced to move to a virtual-only event based on the state of Florida and local guidance regarding the pandemic, revised terms and conditions will be provided to registered attendees and sponsors. The safety of our attendees and event is our top concern.

Program Cancellation

In the unlikely event of program cancellation, October Research, LLC will refund 100 percent of registration fees paid. October Research, LLC assumes no liability for any penalty fees on airline tickets, deposits for hotel accommodations, or any other fees, charges, penalties or other incidental costs that a registrant might incur as a consequence of a program cancellation.

Communications & Marketing Policies

Photo / Video Release
October Research, LLC reserves the right to use photos / video taken at NS3 by individuals under its hire for future promotional purposes. By registering for NS3, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this photo release statement.

Registration Contact Details
By registering for NS3, you agree to October Research, LLC sharing your contact information (name, title and company address you provided when registering for NS3) with sponsors for the purposes of follow up about your interests. The NS3 app will also include your information (name, title, company address you provided when registering for NS3) so you can network more effectively during the conference. Your company name will be listed on the website as a registered attendee.

Media Policy

All media outlets intending to cover an October Research conference session must obtain prior approval from the editorial director before attending the session. The editorial director will inform journalists if the session is open to outside media, including print, video, and audio coverage of the session. Journalists may attend sessions that are not open to the media, but they are not permitted to cover them.

Violation of this policy may result in the denial of entry to future October Research conferences. We appreciate your cooperation in following this policy.

Code of Conduct

In order to provide a professional, engaging and productive event, October Research requires all Attendees to comply with the Events Code of Conduct. Harassment and discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated and may result in the consequences outlined below. Attendees are expected to treat everyone around them, regardless if they are connected with the event itself, with consideration and respect.

Expected Conduct

October Research expects Attendees will refrain from inappropriate behavior. This can include but is not limited to:

  • Making unwelcome sexual advances physically or verbally
  • Making threats or in any way deliberately intimidating another attendee
  • Participating in harassing or discriminatory behavior against someone’s gender, race, national origin, age, pregnancy status, military or veteran status, marital status, physical or mental disability, personal appearance, sexual orientation, political affiliation and other legally protected characteristics
  • Any form of physical assault
  • Destruction of property
  • Drinking in an irresponsible manner
  • Knowingly and falsely reporting violations of the Events Code of Conduct
  • Retaliating against another participant for reporting a violation of the Events Code of Conduct

Reporting Procedure

Any Attendee wishing to report a breach of the Events Code of Conduct should report violation to October Research staff as soon as possible after the incident. Staff members witnessing or receiving a report of such conduct will immediately notify the October Research CEO. All reports will be taken seriously and addressed as soon as possible. Retaliatory actions against those reporting incidents will not be tolerated and will also be subject to consequences.

Consequences

Attendees notified of the violation to the Events Code of Conduct will be expected to stop their behavior promptly. If they continue to violate the Events Code of Conduct, October Research staff reserves the right to expel them from the conference, notify employers and law enforcement professionals as needed. This could also result in a ban from future October Research events.
