Go Behind the Scenes of Evanescence's "Imperfection" Music Video

Amy Lee: "I feel like I spend most of the time either being set on fire or drowning"

Earlier today (October 19th), Evanescence premiered the emotional video for "Imperfection," the band's first new song in six years, which appears on the group's forthcoming album, Synthesis, and addresses the issues of mental illness and suicide. For the clip, director P.R. Brown cast the band members — singer Amy Lee, bassist Tim McCord, drummer Will hunt, lead guitarist/vocalist Troy McLawhorn and guitarist Jen Majura — as ghostly figures in a swirling dreamworld. Revolver joined Evanescence and Brown on set to see how the surreal visuals were created. "I feel like I spend most of the time either being set on fire or drowning, so it all feels very familiar," Lee jokes at one point between takes — or, perhaps more accurately, between deep dives.
