Valéry Perrier





Valéry was born on August 4th 1969 in Paris. His parents being French diplomats, he travelled the world with them: Panama, Brazil, India, the Philippines and Belgium. Valéry studied Management and Management Control in France at the Paris Dauphine University and went to Singapore in 1993. There, a 16-month contract turned into a lifelong partnership with a company now known as Engie. We got married in 1996.

According to ALS.Org, ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. A-myo-trophic comes from
the Greek language. "A" means no. "Myo" refers to muscle, and "Trophic" means nourishment –
"No muscle nourishment." When a muscle has no nourishment, it "atrophies" or wastes away. "Lateral" identifies the areas in a person's spinal cord where portions of the nerve cells that signal and control the muscles are located.
