‘China Close To Petro-Yuan-Gold Launch’

China is expected to launch something tomorrow with the possible hope of ultimately toppling the US dollar:

Multi-billionaire Hugo Salinas Price: There is a lot of commentary going around the world, regarding Trump’s initiation of a “Trade War” to rebuild America’s industries. Trump thinks that tariffs will do the trick, and stop the rest of the world from taking unfair advantage of the US by selling their goods to the US in exchange for lots of US dollars. According to Trump, this nefarious behavior on the part of the rest of the world is causing a h-u-u-u-ge Trade Deficit, sending hundreds of billions of dollars out of the country. Trump’s view is that this is just plain “unfair”…

China Close To Petro-Yuan-Gold Launch

China is, on cue, about to initiate on March 26, their famous Petro-Yuan deal (which they have postponed several times). The Petro-Yuan leads into the Petro-Yuan-Gold deal, where the oil exporters will be able to turn Yuan – which they don’t need – into gold.

The current theme of whether “Trade War” is good for the US, misses the point entirely. The US collapse into the “Trade War” syndrome only obfuscates the real outcome: the end of the US dollar as the world’s fundamental currency. If countries are unable to obtain dollars for their Central Bank reserves, they will have to look for a substitute. Now, gold is NOT the only alternative, but after the USA is conquered and its dollar worth no more than the scrap value of the cotton-paper it is printed on, gold will have value.

One more verse should be perhaps touched on here, and that is Daniel 11:43.

43 He shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt; also the Libyans and Ethiopians shall follow at his heels.

The “he” is the King of the North. This is the same King of the North that valued gold and silver in Daniel 11:38. Although other scriptures also show that gold and silver will have value around this time (like Revelation 18; 9:20), the Bible is clear that gold and silver will be worthless for a short time before Jesus returns, e.g. Ezekiel 7:19.

The fact that the King of the North himself will accumulate gold (and some silver) is consistent with several Byzantine (“Greek” Orthodox) prophecies of their expected Great Monarch:

Emperor Leo the Philosopher (died 912): You will amass gold…And you will be the leader of the surrounding nations…

Addressed to Emperor Manuel II Palaeogous (died 1425): The Emperor…will discover gold and silver…

Saint Andrew Fool-for-Christ (c. 4^th century): God will reveal to this king all the gold wherever it happen to lay concealed from view… (Tzima Otto, pp. 76, 102, 114)

One side note is that, in Egypt, major gold deposits were found in 2006 (A Gold Mine Worth LE 23 Billion (and counting). Egypt Today, August, 2006). This is relevant as it does prove that Egypt now has enough gold that a foreign power could be interested in taking/using it as Bible prophecy teaches.

Since many are now questioning the role of the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency, more are looking into other currencies as well as gold. Gold will set records in US dollar terms.

It has been proposed that various nations around the world are already in the process of accumulating gold to one day overthrow the U.S. dollar—and that the “U.S. is unprepared for this strategic alternative to dollar dominance” (Rickards J. Axis of Gold. The Daily Reckoning, December 20, 2016).

When the U.S. dollar totally collapses people all around the world will consider that even if the Euro (or something similar) is strong, having a more gold-backed currency would be safer.

The collapse of the USA dollar will shake a lot of the world’s confidence in non-gold backed currencies.

The Europeans do not have to have a perfect currency, only one that is perceived to be in better shape than the USA dollar.

Having the European power acquiring more gold to back the Euro or possibly another future European currency (that might potentially replace the Euro or even a basket of currencies) may greatly increase European credibility, prosperity, and influence around the globe, even if the backing is only implied.

The debt accumulation policies of the Obama Administration, which are a massive acceleration of the previous policies of the Bush Administration, look like they will be continued by Donald Trump.

The increases in America’s debt are heading the world into the time when something other than the U.S. dollar will be valued as its reserve currency.

A Donald Trump Administration would need to make massive changes to possibly prevent this.

Under the Donald Trump Administration, US debt has risen and we are seeing much international interest in gold.

After Donald Trump said the USA would cut funds to Pakistan, that government announced its intention to trade in Chinese yuan (see Pakistan to trade in yuan while launch of petro-yuan draws nearer).

Speaking of Pakistan, notice a Pakistani perspective on the petro-yuan:

China in preparing to launch yuan-denominated oils futures contracts. According to some news agencies it may be allowing yuan-based oil contracts in Shanghai Stock Exchange as early as March this year. The move has consequences going far beyond the economic domain. Hitherto, the US dollar has had the monopoly over oil contracts as it enjoyed the status of the only currency in which major oil contracts could be made. This meant that US could get away by having a 20 thousand billion dollars budget deficit as it could print the dollars backed by “black gold”. What does it mean to challenge America by competing against the ultimate economic tool, the petro-dollar?

As the prospect of petro-yuan becomes a reality, China will, in effect, be making a claim to global oil reserves. That would definitely be against American interests as the “black gold” has been practically backing the US dollar as well as humungous US debt. Globally, if you needed oil you definitely needed to have dollar reserves. These dollar reserves could never be materialised unless goods and services made it to American economy or in some cases through expats sending foreign exchange to their home nations. Most global dollar reserves depend on export from dollar starved nations to American consumers. These reserves would always land back in American economy through the banking system. Again, the same dollar would have to be competed for globally by offering goods and services to American consumer as the world is in perpetual need of oil for most of its energy needs. That means that all the economies have to be constantly running for dollar while the US could print at ease in the name of national and foreign debt.

China sits in a comfortable position as it owns almost 1,200 billion dollars of American debt. It, therefore, does not have to fret about launching the petro-yuan, as, at-least in its initial stages, practically the petro-yuan will itself be backed by the American debt owned by China. https://www.pakistantoday.com.pk/2018/02/24/petro-yuan/

Currently, the USA benefits from most international trade as most of the time nations use US dollars for trade. Every time a nation stops doing that, or reduces doing that, it has a negative effect on the economy of the USA.

As I have written before, there is a price to pay for US sanctions and they do affect the dollar.

China has been trying to come up with systems, including with gold backing, to avoid the US dollar.

Currently, China seems to intend to launch its ‘petroyuan’ on March 26, 2018–which is a delay from earlier reports. Notice also the following, where this is referred to as “China crude futures”:

China crude futures launching Monday. China is set to launch an oil futures contract on Monday, an effort that is several years in the making. The Shanghai Crude future is hoping to rival WTI and Brent as a market for oil, but it will lack liquidity, at least in the beginning. Yuan-denominated oil contracts will also have some rules that are unfamiliar to western traders. So, there are some questions as to how well this will work. But it is an attempt by China to gain more economic influence in the world.

Although China’s gold-petro-yuan will NOT be the final replacement to the US dollar as the world’s primary reserve currency, the “gold-petro-yuan” is a step that will weaken US dollar dominance.

Dethroning the US dollar will cause massive economic problems for the USA. Much more than almost anyone believes. The standard of living in the USA has been raised/subsidized for decades because of the status of the US dollar. That status is weakening. This will ultimately severely hurt the USA.

What will happen to the economy of the USA will be much worse than what happened to the UK when the pound sterling lost its status as the world’s primary reserve currency.

We are getting closer to the great tribulation (Matthew 24:21; see also When Will the Great Tribulation Begin?) and final time of the Gentiles (Luke 21:24) that Jesus spoke of.

Gentiles are taking steps that the Anglo-American nations will one day regret.
