NFDA Honors M&N with Hall of Excellence Distinction

At its national convention in Las Vegas in September 2023, the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) inducted Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre into its prestigious Hall of Excellence.  To merit the honor, a funeral home has to observe the organization's highest standards for 10 years in multiple areas such as professional staff development, FTC and legal perimeters, ethics, business operation, community involvement, family and grief support initiatives, client feedback, innovation/creativity, public relations, communications and customer service.  In those 10 consecutive years, Morgan & Nay twice has attained recognition in NFDA's annual "Best of Best" program for its "Day Trip Series" (Finalist) and "Moffett Cemetery Gravel Drive" (Honorable Mention). On behalf of President/Owner Rodney L. Nay, Gage Hartman who serves as the Centre's director of pre-planning and Rosalind Harrell who coordinates the day trips and several company projects represented the firm at the NFDA Recognition Ceremony 2023.  We are obviously proud and committed to continuing this state of excellence for the clients and community we serve.

1997 - 2024

Celebrating 27 years in the funeral profession, Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre is forever grateful to the hundreds of families and individuals who have entrusted us with family and/or personal closures and to the many employees who caringly nurtured our cornerstone mission to “Exceed Expectations, Reflect Wishes.”  Founded by George Morgan, Keith Webster and brothers Rodney Nay and Roger Nay, the Centre officially opened its doors in August 1997. Since that day, we have expanded facilities on Demaree Drive, added the Hanover Chapel, multiplied staff size, supported hundreds of community and charitable endeavors and merited numerous honors and professional distinctions along the way.  But as we reflect on this long tenure, the most rewarding dividend entails the friendship, patronage and trust that families, individuals and community have extended us.

of George D. Morgan

A member of the Madison mortuary profession for 53 years, George D. Morgan helped establish the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre in 1996 along with business colleagues Keith Webster and brothers Rodney and Roger Nay. We fondly remember and salute George's compassionate demeanor, friendly ways, love for children, humorous sayings, fascination with trains and his big, firm handshake that sealed deals and confirmed lifelong friendships. And every day on the business side of our operation, we continue to implement the high standards - in policy, procedure and customer service - that George laid forth 27 years ago. George, who died June 20, 2013, truly exemplified the thrust of our mission statement, A Trusted Neighbor - Exceeding Expectations, Reflecting Wishes.
