NMBI and the Registration of Nurses and Midwives 

All nurses and midwives who practise in Ireland must be registered on the Register of Nurses and Midwives which is maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). There are currently almost 85,000 nurses and midwives registered with us. 

All of our registration services are now available on MyNMBI, our new online portal. 

What can I do on MyNMBI?

All registration services are now available on MyNMBI.

Services for those joining the Register for the first time:

Important notice for applicants – Please do not share your login details with anyone. You are responsible for the information submitted in your application. You must enter the relevant details, upload the required documentation and complete the declaration yourself. Your login details are confidential and should not be shared.

Services for Registrants:

We created four user guides to assist all our users to login and submit any of the applications listed above.
