The Queen Mary English Society is a fun and relaxed society that aims to bring together students with an active interest in English.
We welcome students on any course at the university- if you have any interest in English or reading at all please feel free to join us- You don't have to have read any Chaucer and you don't have to like Shakespeare either!
Throughout the year we will host events and socials to allow students to meet outside the classroom. From movie nights to live theatre trips- we want to make sure everybody gets the most out of their QM experience and joining our society will give you the chance to meet new people and hopefully find shared interests. (It may also offer you the chance to relax between assignments)
