In 2021 we were pleased to launch the Sky | Kick It Out award for equality and inclusion.

The accolade recognises an individual or organisation within sport that has led the fight against racism and discrimination while promoting equality and inclusion in sport and wider society.

The inaugural winner  of the award was Gareth Southgate who was praised for using his voice and position to promote equality and inclusion in football, in sport and in wider society.

In 2022 the award was given to Alice Dearing, a trailblazer in the sport of swimming whose work has made – and is making - the sport of swimming more inclusive and providing life-saving skills to a new generation.

Anna Kessel MBE, Executive Director of Development at Sky said: "Alice is a genuine changemaker, deserving of this recognition".

We are looking forward to recognising equality and inclusion again at the 2023 SJA British Sports Awards and thank Sky and Kick It Out for there support.
