Pip and Posy's Cinema Show

Age: 2-4

Come and play with Pip and Posy in their first ever cinema show. Pip and Posy are the best of friends whose lives revolve around a wonderful world of play. This special show has seven amazing episodes, interactive games and a singalong. Laugh, play and celebrate friendship with Pip and Posy!

The Snail and the Whale

Age: 2-4

“This is the sea, So wild and free, That carried the whale And the snail on his tail.” A half hour family film based on the much-loved picture book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. Join the snail on the tail of a great big grey-blue humpback whale on her journey around the globe. 

Splotch

Age: 2-4

Created with clay, water, hands and skin, Splotch is a playful musical and visual discovery journey for the very young ones. Clay is in constant transformation as an artistic sculptural material and as a sensorial element that makes imprints, creates pictures and leaves tracks. Shapes and figures emerge in front of the children’s eyes as they witness the discoveries and the living process unfolding. The music is played live, using the basic elements from the performance: glass, clay, water and voice.

The Smeds and the Smoos

Age: 2-4

On a far-off planet, two families always avoid each other. The red Smeds never mix with the Smoos, who are blue, so when a chance encounter allows young Smed Janet to become friends with Bill, a young Smoo, their families immediately try to stop it. But Janet and Bill sneak out to meet up secretly and as they grow up they fall in love. When their families find out they could not be more horrified. So the desperate Janet and Bill sneak away to escape in the Smed’s red rocket to explore the universe together.

Tgħanniqa Xewkija

This production follows Bertu and his quest to get the one thing he wants more than anything… a hug! There’s just one problem, he’s a prickly pear and his spikes will get in the way. Together with his friend Xandru by his side he embarks on the journey of a lifetime. Will he manage to get the hug he so longs for?

Circle Square Series

Age: 5-7

Circle Square is an animated comedy designed for children aged 5-7, revolving around a community of nine distinct households. Each house is home to a unique character or family, with Vanessa the Dragon, owner of the rainbow lighthouse, serving as the go-to helper for everyday dilemmas. The storyline unfolds as a different friend seeks Vanessa’s aid in each episode, creating a delightful dynamic where mutual assistance becomes a recurring theme. The eclectic mix of households includes a yeti, emergency service owls, a musical keyboard and drum, a wizard family, a grumpy dog, an adventurous elderly bear, and a couple of walking, talking pine trees.

Superworm

Age: 5-7

Superworm is super-long and super-strong, and is always saving the day. But who can save him when he gets too full of himself and is captured by the evil Wizard Lizard? Superworm is a wonderfully unlikely comic hero. He’s a long, strong worm with amazing skills and a big heart who keeps on saving the day. Butterfly has been Superworm’s best friends since he was small, and she was a caterpillar. They love helping the other garden animals: they save the baby toad from a major road, they entertain bored bees, rescue a beetle. It seems there’s no end to Superworm’s skills but he begins to get a bit too full of himself and he starts to ignore his friend.

Ninho

Age: 5-7

Ninho (Nest) draws its inspiration from the concise yet profound verses of Portuguese author Miguel Torga’s poem, ‘Secret’. In this poetic exploration, a hidden secret within a nest unfolds a tale of true friendship and connection. Particulas Elementares presents Ninho, their most daring project to date, where the narrative unfolds without a single spoken word. Embracing the essence of visual poetry, the production delves into the intricacies of a simple yet captivating plot. The stage is brought to life by Carlos Silva, the show’s author and sole performer.

Katak and the Brave Beluga

Age: 5-7

Katak, a young beluga whale who’s itching to see the world, embarks on a journey to find his long-lost grandfather despite the disapproval of his peers. As he gets farther from the place he once called home, Katak finds friends in the unlikeliest corners of the ocean. They help him realise that his differences are what make him unique, and that sometimes, being brave means being yourself.

Puffin Rock and The New Friends

Age: 5-7

Based on the beloved Netflix series of the same name, PUFFIN ROCK AND THE NEW FRIENDS is an entirely new animated feature featuring favourite characters from the animated series Oona, Baba, May, and Mossy who are joined by a new cast of characters as Isabelle, Phoenix, and Marvin arrive on the island: When the last Little Egg of the season disappears under mysterious circumstances.

Revolting Rhymes

Age: 6-8

A collection of comic and often gory versions of popular fairy tales. Meet Cinderella, a young woman who wants to marry a nice ordinary man, and Goldilocks, that house-breaker who gobbles up your porridge and then breaks up the Chippendale.

Kids Dig Science

Age: 8-10

Kids Dig Science is coordinated by the Science in the City team at the Malta Chamber of Scientists. This season, the team will once again meet with the scientists to find out the latest in all things science, then cut it down to size for children. The series is conceived to inspire curious little minds, to ignite their passions and foster creativity. If you’re looking for a way to inspire your children, Kids Dig Science is a must.

ŻiguŻajg Art Jam

Age: 8-10

Art Jam is a learning programme revolving around temporary exhibitions held at Spazju Kreattiv. Walking through the exhibitions, we will unpack the key themes in the work and learn about exhibition making from the artist to curation of the space. Taking inspiration from the exhibitions, we will think and make new works of art and discover more about ourselves in the process!

ŻiguŻajg Art Jam - Summer Bootcamp

Age: 8-10

The summer bootcamp will be made up of 6 art workshops introducing contemporary art to children. Each workshop will tackle a different way of making and thinking art. Over the course of the 6 weeks we will create a body of work inspired by historical and contemporary, international and local artists, stories and our surroundings. Together as a group of little artists, we will then curate and exhibit our work in a final showcase at the end of the 6-week programme!

Each newcomer is welcomed into the FROST, seamlessly blending into the immersive atmosphere of a snow globe, with crisp winds, and the invigorating aroma of pine trees. The expedition unfolds amidst a carefully orchestrated symphony, merging live musical performances with non-verbal communication, crafting an extraordinary and empowering sensory journey for all who join the performance.
