Our partners
Our Applied Research Collaboration brings together more than 50 partner organisations and groups from across the North East and North Cumbria.
Partnership and collaboration is at the very heart of our work.
The ARC North East and North Cumbria is a region-wide and responsive network of clinicians, public health and social care practitioners, commissioners, voluntary sector providers, researchers, and other professionals – all focussed on applied research and innovation to prevent illness, improve care, promote health and reduce health inequalities.
As a collaborative group, we work together and with our communities, to design, deliver and implement research that helps to achieve better fairer health and care at all ages and in all places.
We also work closely with regional and national research organisations, including other NIHR ARCs and NIHR bodies.
We are open to new partnerships and welcome the opportunity to work with any individuals or organisations who are keen to get involved.
We are hosted by the Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne & Wear NHS Foundation Trust.
We work closely with our Integrated Care Board (ICB) for the North East and North Cumbria.
We also work closely with:
Local authority partners across the North East and North Cumbria
Community and Voluntary Sector organisations
Public members and community groups
Other NIHR partners in our region and nationally
And a wide range of other groups and organisations including:
Newcastle Health Innovation Partners (NHIP)
