علماءٌ في طور النُّمو!

قامَ قسم العلوم بالمدرسة العليا بإشراك طلاب الصف الثامن في استفساراتٍ حول الطّاقة والطّاقة المتجدّدة من خلال إقامة معارضٍ داخليّةٍ يعرض فيها الطلاّب مشاريعهم العلميَّة. فقام الطلاب بعرض تجاربهم العلميَّة ومشاركة ما الّذي تعلّموه و كيف تعلّموه. كما شارك الطلاّب مهارات الاتّصال و التّفكير و البحث والإدارة الذاتيّة والمهارات الاجتماعيّة التي تطورت لديهم. 

Scientists in the Making!

The Science Department in the Senior School engaged our Grade 8 students in inquiries about energy and renewable energy through internal exhibitions where students presented their projects. As students showcased their experiments, they shared what they have learned, how they have learned, and what communication, thinking, research, self-management, and social skills they have developed.

احتفال المئة يوم الأخيرة للدفعة الأولى

نظّمت أكاديميًة قطر الوكرة احتفالًا بمناسبة تبقي مئة يوم على تخريج الفوج الأولّ من طلبتها، وذلك وسط حضور الهيئتين: (الإداريّة والتدريسيّة)، وأولياء الأمور. تخلّل الاحتفال كلمة رئيس الأكاديميّة السيّدة بدرية عيتاني التي قامت بتوجيه أسمى آيات التهنئة والتبريك لطلبة الدفعة الأولى، ودعتهم خلالها لتقدير أولياء أمورهم بالتصفيق لهم على دعمهم ومساندتهم لهم خلال مسيرتهم التعليميّة. كما تخلّل الحفل عرض شريط فيديو وجّه فيه بعض المعلمين الذين درّسوا الطلبة في صفوف المراحل الابتدائية والإعداديّة كلمات التهنئة. وتمّ عرض شريط آخر لصور الطلاب في مراحلهم العمرية المختلفة. واختتم الاحتفال بالتقاط بعض الصور التذكاريّة للطلبة مع معلّميهم وأولياء أمورهم.
هنيئًا لطلاب دفعة 2022  الفوج الأوّل من طلبة برنامج البكالوريا الدوليّة في أكاديميّة قطر الوكرة.

100 Days Celebration for the Class of 2022

QAW’s inaugural senior class celebrated the countdown to the last 100 days of school. In a gathering for students, parents, and staff, pictures of students from the past ten years and video recordings from previous teachers made the evening a memorable one for our seniors. During her speech, Mrs. Bedriyah Itani asked the seniors to turn and applaud their parents’ showing appreciation for all their effort toward their children’s achievements. Words of encouragement were given by the students’ teachers and dedication of meaningful songs, poems, and quotes were shared to inspire them. The event ended with hugs, cheers, and tears of joy. Congratulations to the QAW seniors’ class of 2022, the inaugural graduation class at QAW.

طلاب الروضة في أكاديمية قطر - السدرة يبتكرون ملصقات على شكل المتحف

ينظر طلاب الروضة إلى رواية القصص بطرق مختلفة من خلال وحدة الاستفسار "كيف نعبر عن أنفسنا". حيث عملوا مع "متحف" الذي ساعد   الطلاب على فهم أن الفنانين يروون قصصهم من خلال  أعمالهم ومع التركيز على التثبيت الحالي الذي قام به السيد/ قادر عطية وأعماله المجمعة ، أنشأ الطلاب القصص باستخدام الملصقات، وابتكروا قطعهم النهائية واتيحت لهم الفرصة لإقامة معرض صغير. كانت تلك طريقة رائعة لمشاركة قصصهم ومساعدتهم على فهم أنهم فنانين.

 

QAS KG Students Create Collages with Mathaf Model

Kindergarten students have been looking at storytelling in different ways through their unit of inquiry “How we express ourselves”. They have been working with Mathaf to help them understand that artists tell their stories through their work. With a focus on the current installation by Kader Attia and his collage work, the students have been creating stories using collages. In a culmination of a month of regular visits to the gallery, the students created their final pieces and have had the opportunity to host a mini-exhibition at the gallery. This is a wonderful way to share their stories and to help them understand that they are artists.

اجتماعات ثلاثية الأطراف

شارك الطلاب والمعلمون وأولياء الأمور في اجتماعات ثلاثية الأطراف في أكاديمية قطر - مشيرب يوم الثلاثاء 29 مارس 2022. حيث كانت الاجتماعات بمثابة احتفال برحلة تعليم الطلاب، مع تسليط الضوء وإظهار مهارات، وتحديد الأهداف، ووضع الخطوات التالية لتقدم الطلاب المستمر. كان لدى الطلاب وكالة للتفكير واختيار أمثلة من ما تعلموه لعرضها، وكذلك شرح المجالات التي يمكن أن تتحسن.لقد كانت فرصة جيدة   طال انتظارها لدى الجميع
لقد تم الترحيب   بمشاركة أولياء الأمور وجهًا لوجه في الحرم الأكاديمي - أخيرًا بعد تخفيف قيود كوفيد – 19.    وقد أُقيمت أيضًا بعض الاجتماعات الافتراضية لأولياء الأمور الذين لم يتمكنوا من الانضمام شخصيًا.
كانت نتيجة المؤتمرات جيدة سواء كانت عبر الإنترنت أو في الحرم الأكاديمي -  للطلاب والمدرسون وأولياء الأمور  الفخورين.

Three-Way Conferences

Students, teachers, and parents participated in three-way conferences at QAM on Tuesday, 29 March 2022. The conferences marked a celebration of student learning, with recognition of progress, demonstration of skills, goal setting, and establishing the next steps needed for continued growth. Students had the opportunity to reflect and choose learning samples to showcase and explain the areas that can be improved.
It was a long-awaited and welcome opportunity for face-to-face parental engagement on campus - finally possible as COVID-19 restrictions are easing. Virtual conferences were offered to parents who were unable to join in person. Online or on campus, the outcome of the conferences was equally good for the proud students, teachers, and parents.

أنشطة أكاديمية العوسج في شهر رمضان

ضمن فعاليات شهر رمضان المبارك زار طلاب أكاديمية العوسج  جامع المدينة التعليمية - المنارتين وقاموا بتأدية صلاة الظهر جماعة والتعرف على   المسجد الذي يرتكز على خمسة أعمدة كبيرة تمثل أركان الإسلام الخمسة.  و خطة البناء الحلزوني والطرق المتعددة التي تربط المدرسة بالمسجد التي تشير إلى أن جميع المعارف مستمدة في نهاية المطاف من العقيدة الإسلامية. وأيضًا شارك طلاب أكاديمية العوسج في مشروع إفطار 200 صائم.
احتفلت أكاديمية العوسج بيوم القرنقعوه   خلال العديد من الفعاليات الرائعة منها زيارة الطلاب لدكان الفريج وهم يرددون  أغنية  ليلة قرنقعوه بالإضافة  إلى العديد من الفعاليات الأخرى مثل التلوين ونقش الحناء   والألعاب الشعبية

Awsaj Academy Activities During Ramadan

Among the activities of the blessed month of Ramadan, Awsaj Academy students visited the Education City Mosque, performed the noon prayer in the congregation, and got acquainted with this mosque, which is based on five large pillars representing the five pillars of Islam. The scheme of the spiral structure and the multiple roads linking the school to the mosque indicate that all knowledge is ultimately derived from the Islamic faith. Awsaj Academy students, moreover, participated in an Iftar for 200 fasting people.
In addition, Awsaj Academy celebrated Garangao’s Day through many wonderful activities, including the students’ visit to the Freej shop while chanting the song “The Most Beautiful Night of Garangao”, along with many other activities such as coloring, henna engraving, and many folklore games.

عرضًا موسيقياً مميزاً لقسم الموسيقى العربية في أكاديمية قطر الدوحة

نظّم قسم الموسيقى العربية عرضًا موسيقياً في اجتماعات أولياء الأمور بأكاديمية قطر الدوحة الابتدائية في 15 مارس 2022.
حيث قدّم  الطلاب مقطوعات موسيقية ضمن تشكيلات مختلفة، وقام التخت العربي بأداءٍ رائع لفت الأنظار وأبهر جمهور الأهالي والحضور .أتاح هذا الحدث لأولياء الأمور بأكاديمية قطر – الدوحة التحدّث  مباشرة مع  المعلمين والطلاب، والاستعلام عن برامج وأنشطة الأكاديمية.
تعزّز هذه الشراكة الجديدة بين المدرستين نشر الوعي بأهمية تعليم الموسيقى العربية في المدارس، ويسّر القسم العربي للموسيقى الإِعلان عن المزيد من التعاون مع مدارس مؤسسة قطر في المستقبل.

Arab Music Department Performs at Qatar Academy Doha

On 15 March 2022, the Arab Music Department performed at Qatar Academy Doha’s (QAD) Primary School Parents' Conference. Our students performed solos, duets, and trio performances, and the Master Takht presented an outstanding performance that made the concert a big success.
This event allowed QMA’s students and faculty to have discussions and conversations with QAD's parents, who were amazed by the exceptional talents. This new partnership between the two QF schools aims to promote Arabic music, and the AMD team is delighted to announce that more collaborations are coming in the future.

التوحد! ما هي قوتك الخارقة؟

هل تعلم أن اللون الأزرق شائع خلال شهر التوعية بالتوحد؟ ارتدت أكاديمية ريناد اللون الأزرق لمدة أسبوع كامل.   حيث ارتدى   الموظفون والطلاب   قمصانًا متطابقة مطبوع عليها عبارة تعبر عن شعورنا تجاه التوحد " التوحد .. ماهي قوتك الخارقة؟" وقضوا كامل الأسبوع في القيام بأنشطة يومية كالعادة. كما قام الطلاب بصنع قطع فنية لعرضها خلال فعالية "المشي من أجل التوحد" حول المدرسة. لقد كانت تجربة مميزة لجميع الطلاب والموظفين الذين شاركوا في السير معًا ونشر رسالة توعوية مميزة.

Autism! What Is Your Superpower?

Did you know that blue is popular during Autism Awareness Month? Renad Academy wore blue for a whole week. The t-shirt had the phrase that expresses how we feel about Autism, “Autism! What Is Your Superpower? Staff and students wore matching t-shirts and spent the week doing school day activities. Students also made art pieces to show off during the “Walk for Autism” around the school. It was an experience for all students and staff that participated to walk together and spread a message of awareness.

أكاديمية قطر للعلوم والتكنولوجيا في مسابقات الروبوتات الدولية

شارك طلاب أكاديمية قطر للعلوم والتكنولوجيا خلال شهر أبريل في ثلاث مسابقات للروبوتات في   أنحاء قطر.
حيث فاز الصف الثامن بالمركز الثاني في SeaPerch قطر 2022 ، وفاز الصف العاشر بجائزة أفضل مرشد في First Tech وفاز الصف 11 بالمركز الثاني في تحدي الروبوتات VEX.
تم اختيار طلاب أكاديمية قطر للعلوم والتكنولوجيا لتمثيل قطر كجزء من الفرق المشاركة في المسابقتين الدوليتينFirst Tech   و  SeaPerch Challenge  للروبوتات  التي ستقام على مدار الأسابيع القادمة ونطلعكم على التقدم المحرز فيها.
نحن فخورون بجميع الطلاب الذين تم اختيارهم للمشاركة!
 

QAST at International Robotics Competitions

QAST students participated in April in three robotics competitions across Qatar.
Grade 8 won second place in the SeaPerch Qatar 2022, Grade 10 won the outstanding mentor award in the First Tech, and Grade 11 won second place in VEX robotics challenge.
QAST students have been selected to represent Qatar as part of the participating teams in the International First Tech challenge and the SeaPerch underwater robots competition.
Both international competitions will take place over the next few weeks, and we will update you on their progress. Well done to all the students selected to take part!

Academyati Stores

“Bath bombs for sale!” chanted our learners at the Saturday Farmer's Market, where they launched their first-ever Academyati Stores in collaboration with Torba. Our little merchants displayed the various products they have passionately been working on. From homemade bath bombs to handcrafted necklaces and leather goods, lemonade, cookies, art, and bookmarks, their creativity is endless. We are already looking forward to the next round of Academyati Stores!

شهر أبريل في مدرسة طارق بن زياد

نسعى في مدرسة طارق بن زياد لجعل الطلاب مدركين لتراثهم و منفتحين , فمع اقتراب شهر رمضان أحيا الطلاب ليلة النافلة مدركين أهيمتها بالتواصل و الشعور بالغير و بدأوا الاستعداد للشهر الفضيل بالرسومات التعبيرية و والأعمال اليدوية كالفوانيس و النجوم و الهلال .
وتبع ذلك يوم التوعية بالتوحد حيث ارتدى الطلاب اللون الأزرق و قام المعلمون بشرح معنى التوحد و كيف يمكن دعم الطلاب ذوي التوحد.

 

April at Tariq Bin Ziad School

At Tariq Bin Ziad School, we seek to make students open-minded and aware of their heritage. During the month of Ramadan and for their awareness of its importance, the students revived the night of Alnafla by communicating and feeling others. They, indeed, began early in preparing for the holy month with expressive drawings and handicrafts such as lanterns, stars, and crescents. Then we had Autism Awareness Day followed, where students wore blue, and teachers explained the meaning of autism and how autistic students could be supported.

التعلم والتعليم في الفصول الدراسية ثنائية اللغة

شارك 30 مشاركًا من مدارس مؤسسة قطر في ورشة عمل معهد التطوير التربوي حول " التعلم والتعليم في الفصول الدراسية ثنائية اللغة". على مدار 15 ساعة مكثفة، تم نقل المشاركين من خلال سلسلة من عمليات التفكير القائمة على البحث لتعميق فهمهم لثنائية اللغة المزدوجة في السياق، والمشاركة العملية لتعميق ثقتهم حول ثنائي اللغة، وتطبيق التبادل اللغوي، وتطوير مجتمعات التعلم المهنية للممارسة في مدارسهم. تم توفير ورش العمل هذه لجميع مدارس مؤسسة قطر دعماً لمبادرة مؤسسة قطر الاستراتيجية لتعميق إتقان اللغة العربية لطلابنا وتوسيع نطاق تطبيق البرمجة ثنائية اللغة. كانت هذه هي الأولى في سلسلة ورش العمل ثنائية اللغة لمدارس مؤسسة قطر والتي ستستمر في العام الدراسي المقبل.

Teaching and Learning in Dual Language Classrooms

Thirty participants from across QF schools participated in EDI's workshop on “Teaching and Learning in Dual Language Classrooms". Over the course of 15 intensive hours, participants were taken through a series of research-based thinking engagements to deepen their understanding of Dual Language in our context, practical engagements to deepen their confidence around Dual Language, the application of translanguaging, and the development of professional learning communities of practice at their schools. These workshops were made available to all QF schools in support of the QF strategic initiative to deepen the Arabic language proficiency among our students, and to broaden the application of Dual Language programming. This was the first in a series of Dual Language workshops for QF Schools that will continue next academic year.

مشاريع الزراعة في مركز التّعليم المبكِّر فرع نادي المدينة التعليميَّة

بدأ الطلاب والمعلمون في نادي التعليم المبكر هذا العام مشروعًا زراعيًا. المشروع عبارة عن جهد مجتمعي يهدف إلى توفير بيئة تعليمية عملية للأطفال. قدم فريق حديقة القرآن النباتية في مؤسسة قطر الدعم للمشروع من خلال توفير البذور التي زرعها الأطفال ، وقام فريق جامعة وايل كورنيل بإعداد الحديقة من خلال توفير البيت  الأخضر. زرع الأطفال أنواعًا مختلفة من البذور مثل الذرة والخس والسلق والطماطم والبنجر والجزر. كان من الرائع رؤية جميع الأطفال يشاركون بنشاط في هذه الرحلة التعليمية الخاصة.

EEC Clubhouse Gardening Projects

Students and teachers in the Early Education Center Clubhouse started a farming project this year. The project was a community effort with the aim to provide children with a hands-on learning environment. The Qur’anic Botanic Garden team at Qatar Foundation supported the project by providing seeds that were planted by the children, and the Weill Cornell University team prepared the garden by providing a greenhouse. Children planted a variety of seeds such as corn, lettuce, chard, tomatoes, beets, and carrots. It was great to see all the children so actively engaged in this special educational journey.

الاستدامة في الفنون في أكاديميًة قطر الوكرة

تركز عملية التعلم في برنامج السنوات المتوسطة على فهم كيفية توجيه السياقات العالمية لمفاهيم الدراسة.  باعتبار (العولمة والاستدامة) أحد السياقات العالمية الذي يبرزها برنامج السنوات المتوسطة.
نستطيع أن نتعلم أن نكون مفكرين ناقدين ومواطنين عالميين أكثر مسؤولية، عن طريق فهم كيفية تأثير أفعالنا على بيئتنا وعلى العالم من حولنا.
لقد قام طلاب الصف السابع  بأخذ هذا السياق العالمي بعين الاعتبار،   عن طريق استخدام مهاراتهم الفنية وإبداعاتهم لتحويل بعض المواد  غير المرغوب بها إلى أعمال فنية.
و اكتشف طلابنا أن مواداً بسيطة مثل الورق المقوى وأغطية العبوات المهملة يمكن تحويلها إلى شيء جميل ومستدام. لقد ساعد هذا المشروع الطلاب ليصبحوا أكثر وعياً حول بيئتهم عن طريق تقليل كمية الفاقد وإعادة استخدام المصادر.

Sustainability in ART at QAW

MYP learning focuses on understanding how Global Contexts drive the concepts of study. One of the Global Contexts the MYP program highlights is Globalization and Sustainability. By understanding how our actions affect our environment and the world around us, we can learn to be critical thinkers and more responsible global citizens. With this Global Context in mind, our grade 7 students utilized their artistic skills and creativity to turn discarded materials into works of art. Our students discovered that items as simple as cardboard boxes and leftover bottle caps can be transformed into something beautiful and sustainable. This project helped our students become more aware of their environment by reducing waste and re-using resources.
