International Conference on Climate Law

About this event

The conference’s main aim is to provide space for discussion about the role of climate law in this day and age as well as to encourage discourse regarding the legal framework of topics such as e.g., deforestation and renewable energy sources. 🌲💡🔌
We believe that the environment and climate change are some of the most important issues of the 2️⃣1️⃣st century. The world is changing rapidly, industries are developing like never before and new technologies arise daily, we must help the law system keep up with those changes. The way we as human beings function strongly impacts natural habitats resulting in scarce natural resources and natural disasters.
That is why we reckon it so incredibly important to discuss the environmental changes, issues regarding the climate, and the impact of law on those aspects to raise awareness on how significant changes can be made. We believe that every individual can influence the policy- and law-makers when it comes to climate-related regulations. It is demonstrated not only by the efforts of the European Commission in this regard but also by the visible changes in legislation around Europe. 🇪🇺
Taking all of the above into consideration we would like to organize an International Conference on Climate Law. We believe that this topic is up to date as protection of the environment and climate is one of the United Nations' most important goals. We hope that the conference will attract a lot of participants and that we will have an opportunity to organize this conference in the future again, hopefully making it a reoccurring event.
The conference will address the following topics:
