SOS Children’s Village, Kinderperspectief, Netherlands, University of Hildesheim, Germany and Udayan Care, India, have come together to host the International Care Leavers' Convention, 2020 in a virtual format from November 23-25, 2020.
 
The Convention aims to connect Care Leavers internationally and provide space and tools that allows them to learn, share and exchange experiences, knowledge and challenges. It also aims to empower Care Leavers through various interface sessions with service providers, researchers and policy makers working with and for Care Leavers. The Convention enables Care Leavers to advocate and amplify their voices and attract the attention of decision makers to act upon their recommendations through betterment of the policy and practice related to them. The Convention can thus become a launch pad towards building a global community of Care Leavers. The main event will be preceded by a series of pre and post events as well.
 
The purpose of this form is to capture the ideas, aspirations and expectations of Care Leavers regarding the International Virtual Care Leavers' Convention.
