Medieval Narratives in Transmission
Cultural and Medial Translation of Vernacular Traditions

Series Editor: Simon Thomson, Ruhr-Universität Bochum

This series investigates the development, transmission, and use of narratives and narrative motifs in secular and vernacular contexts. It explores the movement of stories and ideas, and how these narratives are reshaped in different media and in different languages and cultures throughout medieval Europe. Volumes that consider single narratives or ideas being translated and reimagined are welcomed, as are those that explore a range of traditions as they manifest in a single specific context. The series thereby aims to provide a forum for publications on the relationships between the content, form, and media of medieval narratives as they intersect with social, cultural, and linguistic contexts.

Texts and Transitions
Studies in the History of Manuscripts and Printed Books

Series Editors:
Martha Driver, Pace University, New York
Derek Pearsall, University of York

Texts and Transitions is based on the ideals and aims of the Early Book Society. It publishes monographs and thematic collections dealing with late medieval manuscripts and early printed books to about 1550. The focus is mainly on manuscripts and books produced in England or for the English market, and closely related French and north-west European works.

Bibliologia
Elementa ad librorum studia pertinentia

Series Editor: D. Nebbiai Dalla Guarda

The term 'bibliology' is used to refer to the sum of disciplines that deal with books, whether manuscript or printed: the history of books, the history of ancient libraries, bibliophily, bibliopoly, the French concept 'bibliothéconomie', and bibliography.
