Solar Orbiter is a mission of international cooperation between ESA and NASA, designed to understand our nearest star, the Sun, and how it affects the Earth. From its launch on 9 February 2020 until November 2021, Solar Orbiter has been in cruise phase, allowing the instruments to be tested and calibrated while the spacecraft undertook various manoeuvres that have enabled it to get into its science orbit. This orbit will bring Solar Orbiter close to the Sun, inside the orbit of Mercury, giving us spectacular high resolution observations of the Sun, and enabling us to connect eruptions on the Sun to material detected at the spacecraft. This workshop will be the first opportunity for the community to present results and discuss scientific observations from Solar Orbiter’s entire suite of instruments in-person since launch.

The workshop will be optimised for in-person attendance. While we will be able to accommodate remote attendance to the talks, we will be unable to accommodate presentations from remote attendees.

The lecture theatre can accommodate 5 times more delegates than the in-person attendees. We would therefore request that you try to maintain some social distancing where possible.
