I went into this book blind and it was absolutely amazing. From the very beginning the story just grabs a hold of you and you just hang on for a real good ride.
Cade and Indy were high school sweethearts and this book is both last and present with regards to their love story.
I absolutely loved this book and looking forward to the next book in the series.

Kings of Mayhem (The Kings of Mayhem Book 1) Kindle Edition
ARRA Finalist: Favourite Continuing Romance Series 2019
CADE
I’ve loved her since we were five years old.
We grew up side by side.
Two kids tied together by the Kings of Mayhem Motorcycle Club.
But I broke us.
So, she fled.
Now she’s back after twelve long years.
And I’m going to show her all the reasons why we should be together and make her forget all the reasons why we shouldn’t.
INDY
I’m back in town but only because I have to be.
I’m here to help my mom bury my father.
And the sooner we get it done, the better.
Because I want to see Cade as much as I want a hole in the head.
He broke me once—no, he broke my everything— and I’ll be damned if I’ll let him do it again.
Get in and get out. That is the plan.
But you know what they say about best-laid plans.
For readers 18+. Kings of Mayhem is book one in the Kings of Mayhem MC series and contains a possessive biker and a strong-willed, sassy doctor who is determined not to fall in love with her childhood sweetheart all over again! As with all my books in the series, my characters find their HEA but not without running into some surprise twists and page-turning suspense along the way.

▪ "I don't deserve you. Not in a million years. But tell that to my stubborn heart. It's not ready to give you up. Not now, not ever." ▪
Penny Dee did it again! My oh my, I do love me some gorgeous bikers with a heart of gold. 😏
I actually started this series with the first book of the chapter club, which is also absolutely amazing as you can read in my review some books back. But back to business.
Kings of Mayhem is about Cade and Indy who grew up together in the club and always have loved eachother. When they were eighteen a stupid, drunken, sabotaged action made them go their seperate ways. After 12 years Indy comes back due to her fathers funeral and realises that her one ultimate love might never have left her heart.
The story of Cade and Indy has something special as the book takes you along from the very first beginning on how they met. Normally I don't necessarily like flashbacks to the past but I loved it in here. It showed the reader how their relationship evolved from friends to lovers. It gives it so much more in depth emotion and all those feels.

Together since they were 5 years old Cade and Indy are out of the life and off to College, until, in a drunken drug haze, he (accidently) sleeps with a club bunny.
This book oscillates between now and their young lives growing up together. At first it's interesting filling in the blanks, until it becomes tedious. Much like their relationship when, after 12 years, she returns for her father's funeral.
I forced myself to finish but definitely couldn't put up with anymore of these 2 characters...

Absolutely fantastic read. I loved Cade and Indy’s story. ❤️❤️❤️ They both went through so much heartache, lost each other for years but fought to get back to each other. Cade gets set up loses the love of his life at 18 and himself for 12 years. It’s a struggle to the end but they get their HEA. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you won’t be disappointed 😎

Cade and Indigo were club kids, growing up together since they were five and becoming closer than close, loving each other and planning a lifetime together. That is until things went pear shaped and Indy left Cade and the MC life well and truly behind. Then...she came back after twelve long years!
The story is split in two time frames, then and now, with background information given in a more interesting way. Also told from both Cade and Indy’s points of view, allow readers a deeper insight into each lead character.
Some good humour laced throughout the story gives readers a chuckle along the way, for example when Indy is dealing with a five year old patient who denies having anything to do with pushing a bead into his nose...
“I held up the plastic bead I had just extracted from his nasal cavity. It was the fourth one this month. Any more and I could make a bracelet. ...“Did it crawl in there by itself? “Maybe.” “Really? Because I don’t see a pair of legs on this sucker.” “They fell off.” 😂
Much of the book is centred on Cade and Indy’s emotional scenes, including some red hot passionate love scenes where they set the sheets on fire. There is also a touch of drama and action at the end, which I will warn you is a small cliffhanger. It certainly had me on the edge of my seat flipping the pages!
I loved this story and look forward to the next book.

AMAZING! Couldn’t Stop Reading till the end!

I loved the way the book was written alternating back and forth between the main characters point of view and also the past and the present. There was sooo much drama and I was all in. Read in a review about a cliffhanger at end so bought first 4 books. Glad I did because read a sample & knew I liked the writer’s style. Feel like staying up all night reading the second book!!

The story was good, but as someone who doesn't like the to and fro between past and present, I felt it off-putting that the book has such chapters almost till the end. It just disrupts the pace of the story for me. Also disappointed that this story is not a standalone and that it was not mentioned anywhere in the description.
Overall apart from the past and present chapters, the book was good

A Definite Must Read!!

This book was unputdownable. Easily kept u eagerly turning the page. The romance and sex scenes were fantastic and supporting characters made it even better. I love MC romances but I find I'm very picky but the Kings of Mayhem definitely 5++ stars. The writing style was refreshing and flowed so easily and naturally. Now onto book 2!!

so, so bad :-((

So, so bad! Regret buying it!!!
Don't read on if you don't wanna know details about the book.
1.) Cade and Indy were so in love, he was willing to leave the club they both grew up in for her, but shortly before eloping his father drugs him and he sleeps with another woman without realizing it. And Indy walks in on him (as you would expect in that sort of cliche-riddled story).
2.) Indy runs away broken-hearted, but when she returns twelve years later for her Dad's funeral (because her Mom's devastated, even though the Dad was an abusive a*hole), she still hasn't moved on. No love and obviously no life at all because even "hating" where she came from, she can't seem to leave and it takes Cade no time to get her back in his bed.
3.) I've already read some books about MCs and in this book, the whole MC-thing is just the distant setting for a really mediocre lovestory.
4.) You don't really get to know a single character in the story, because descriptions are superficial and actions ambivalent.
5.) There's a second part to Cade and Indy's story. I hate when writers do that.
Yeah, I'm frustrated with this book. Wish I'd get the time back it took me to read it...

I Love The Kings of Mayhem
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 3 August 2019Verified Purchase
This book is all about Indy (Indigo Blue Parish) and Cade Calley. They met at the of age 5 when Indy’s parents moved in next door to the Calley family. Both parents already know each other as both men are members of the Kings of Mayhem M.C. and the sons of the founding fathers.
The M.C. was formed after both grandfathers returned from Vietnam. When they formed the M.C. they wanted it to be a legit club. No drugs, no guns and women were to be worshipped not enslaved. The drugs and gun rules were put in place because of all the bad things they had seen and witnessed in Vietnam.
So Cade and Indy were brought up in the M.C. lifestyle. and were classed as the prince and princess of the M. C. Everyone knew that it was inevitable that the two of them would be more than best friends.
They planned out their lives together once they finished high school they would leave and go to college together in Seattle. Get married and have a family, but Cade’s father didn’t want his son going away to college so he set his son up. Got him so drunk by spiking his drinks all night that he ended up in bed with one of the clubs whore’s. Knowing full well that Indy would walk in on them. Which she did. The very next day they were mean to leave for collage together but Indy left on her own. Never to step foot in her home town for next 12 years.
Indy now a qualified emergency doctor has no choice but to go back home as her father has died. She thinks she’ll just be in and out of her home town and back to her happy life in Seattle. What she doesn’t expect is for her past to come crashing around her and her feelings for Cade to become stronger. Will Cade and Indy finally put the past to rest and start again?
I really enjoyed this book and have gone straight on to read book two. This has all of the M.C. biker vibe but it also so has normal everyday events going on in it making it more believable. It’s like Sons of Anarchy with a bit more of a feel good factor to it. I bought the first two book as I have received book three free via NetGalley if I give my honest opinion on the book. I don’t really like starting books in the middle of a series, and with it being one of my favourite genres I threw caution to the wind and bought them. I hope that books two and three are just as enjoyable.
