I love age gaps but this one didn’t do it for me.

Heroine is too bratty. I hated how she kept throwing herself at Hero. Hero couldn’t/wouldn’t do anything until she was 18.

Ofcourse every MC member and their dog was protective of her. Why else would they go shopping for 5 hours for a prom dress for her, get all dressed up on her prom night, plan her 18th birthday party. I could go on but I started skimming *eye roll* such tough and rough members.

I can’t forget to mention first time they have sex is when Hero is in the hospital from a road accident. Heroine basically jumps on top and they start boning.

1 star for the Hero.

I love age gap romances but only if AND ONLY IF the younger one is a little more mature for their age. The heroine was very immature and bratty... it was kind of hard to get her appeal. Sadly, she didn't have much of a personality outside of her obsession with the Hero. The one star is for the writing.

Holy balls! Like HOLY JESUS what did I just read! <<< (for those who don’t know me, that’s all very good lol)

So listen, Reaper is batshit crazy. I mean that in the best possible way. And he is not alone. This story was so ridiculously intense at times that I kinda wished I was watching the movie version so I could close my eyes at some stuff. BAT SHIT CRAZY! But here’s the thing, that’s what’s gonna hook you to an MC read. It’s rare that I read polite MC romances. Actually, I can only think of one LOL When I pick up an MC romance, I expect to get intense, gritty, #twitchy, #sideye plot points. If I don’t, then I get bored.

I was not bored ….

The Ruthless Kings MC has an ARC storyline that begins with Reaper and hopefully will grow and continue with the rest of the books. These guys don’t play around (LMAO, that’s an understatement) but they do play well with each other and I felt that throughout this entire story. Another sign this will be an MC series to keep track of.

Now, let me say a few things about Sarah. This chic, she may be young in age but that’s about all she’s young in. I loved the choices the author made for her as a character! She is strong and has serious balls, but she’s also a girl who’s had a hard path in life and maybe just needs someone to hug her …

Crazy good start to an MC romance series but I highly recommend you start with the prequel: Reaper's Rise (Ruthless Kings MC Book 0) to get a strong look at Sarah and her past! It's not free right this second but it should be soon! (we all know how long it takes for Amazon to price match #twitchy)

Yikes. Hot mess express coming through.
This was poorly written. Very amateur.
Unbelievable characters.
I couldn’t continue onto the third chapter.
I wholeheartedly agree with all the top 1 star reviews.
This book needs a re-write now that the author has many books under her wings and start this book over.

Just as I expected, Reaper is super cheesy MC romance. Super cheesy that I dozed off at certain part of the book. I was surprise that Miss Savage seems to recycled the plot for all of the books in this series.

The dialog, banter and the chemistry are cheesy. Not much happening on the character development either.

Overall, not bad but boring.

Reaper is the president of his MC and Sarah the daughter of his best friend. For years she’s been off limits because of her age but the closer she got to 18 the harder it was for Reaper to resist her. I enjoyed the banter between our main characters as the tension between them built up. While there was definitely quite a bit of push and pull I could’ve done without, I see where it builds up the angst. The plot was good. Definitely kept my interest piqued. The pacing and writing were strong. Secondary characters added value to the story. I definitely want to know more about this MC crew.

Sierra Kline and Logan McAllister did an amazing job with the narration. Their diction was clear. Tone, pitch, and fluctuations were on point and enhanced the story.

Older man/ younger woman MC romance.
The heroines deceased father was the best friend to the hero,he never knew that he had a daughter. There is also an older brother who is like a son to the hero.
I did not read the prequel to this book that introduced the MC's and the other characters as to how the young heroine came into contract with the Ruthless Kings MC at the young age of 16.
The heroine is 4 months shy of 18 when the story starts but she knows that the older MC Prez is the man for her,he is 38. She really puts the moves on him,but he is holding out for when she turns 18 and the day can't come fast enough for him.
Some drama involving a person from the heroine's past and the push/ pull from the hero regarding the heroine's age provide the tension.
Liked this couple as the age difference was not a problem, the heroine appeared mature enough, the hero was crazzzzy about the heroine which is also a plus.
He did attempt to sex up a club slut ,but could not get it up! No graphic details on that thank goodness.
Boomer, the heroine's brother book is up next.I had already read Tool's book, the VP of the club.

Ok so this was really good. First of all, I knew it would be an age gap romance so I thought it would go a certain type of way, and I was wrong. Reaper waited for Sarah until she was 18, and they are so connected to one another. Plus she's got a friendship with everyone at the MC. I don't read a lot of MC anymore, and I was in for a few surprises with this book! It gets gritty, and intense, and these guys do some bad stuff sometimes. AND people get seriously freaking hurt!

There was lots of action, a good amount of heat, and sorry but that cover is just so hot. I'll definitely read the rest of this series. We were introduces to so many other interesting characters and I can't wait to hear their stories.

This book was two thumbs down. I feel like 80% of the book was just going on about how much Reaper and Sarah wanted to bone each other but couldn’t. The other 20% was a storyline. A lot of things were not believable. Sarah was childish and immature. It never really did go in to her past but would reference about it. It irritated me to no end!

3% in and I'm done. That may be the quickest DNF I've ever had, but I knew these characters were not for me. The heroine mentions fisting a grenade up any other womans vagina if she gets near the man she wants. REALLY

I liked the idea of it, but not the delivery.
I didn't like how she threw her self on him every damn time, i get it she is underage and a teenager...being like a puppy with her first crush but i just wished she was more shy about it you know?
Even if i get past her bratty-stubborn-petty self i didn't like how they get together when she was finally legal, in a blink of an eye she started being a slut-virgin which personally i disliked so much, let's not talk about how she bring her nose in club business and how insta love sick they are in a second... I JUST NEEDED at least 1 chapter if them slowly finally try their boundaries :(

Over all? i didn't love it, but i didn't hate it, mostly because i feel in love with the other characters of this book! i can't wait to read their story's! mostly Tool's and Tongue's. I also loved how they where with Sarah, how protective they are. I liked Reaper's possessiveness too. This could've been really good .

This could've been a great read if we had some good build up before the boom.

DNF @ under 40/50 pages
She acts super flirtatious but is a softy from the heart.
He rejects her directly asking her to have some self-respect.
she ignores his rejection.
Even after all this, I was warming up to their connection but then the realization hit me in the face with H's these lines.

"She deserves better than some old biker. I dream of the
day she turns eighteen, but what then? She’s going to be
forty, and I’m going to be sixty-one? What life is that for
her? I’m nearly past the prime of having kids. I’ve lived my
life, and she has just started. It would be selfish of me to take
the good years ahead of her"

AND I FINALLY CAME TO THE CONCLUSION that I'D NEVER EVER want that for me, so I just couldn't..couldn't even try to think what they would "have" so special that'll dull all other facts..
just naah.
I guess the age gap was too much for me.

I just love this book so much!!! The narrative pretty much gives a WTTDS vibe with its age gap and a hero who's very possessive and protective when it comes to the heroine.

The drama and angst are so good. It was gritty and steamy and there's a bit of the forbidden facet thrown in. Overall this was an amazing start for the series.

I just love everything, hence I highly recommend you picking this up if you're in the mood for a great MC romance.✨

Reaper by K.L. Savage is book One in the Ruthless Kings MC Series. This is the story of Reaper and Sarah. Sarah was Reaper's best friends daughter although she didn't come to the Ruthless Kings MC until she was around 16 or so. But her brother Boomer was pretty much raised their where Reaper feels of him like a son. But Reaper is the President of the MC but he knew that Sarah was going to be his. But Reaper wouldn't act of those feelings nor would he let Sarah think that he wanted her in that way. Reaper was buying his time until she became 18. Sarah knew from the first moments that she met Reaper she wanted to be with him but he wouldn't take to her advances. Then danger happened when someone was out to get Sarah. I enjoyed their story and can't wait for more from this author...especially Boomer 's story.

Fuck! This was awesome! I loved the story, I loved the guys, I loved Reaper (though sometimes I wanted to punch him), I loved Sarah, and I didn't want it to ever end.
Sarah was a crazy, kickass chick. She's got some balls and then some. I guess she had to, to love and be with someone as Reaper. The guy was hot but REALLY crazy.
Boomer was kinda sweet, with his sister. But he was also a bit annoying. He didn't realize when he was hurting Sarah, or Reaper. I hope he'll get his shit together and grow up in the next book.
I really liked Tool and Tongue. Tool was even kinda sweet (don't tell him I said that). And Tongue was a good friend for Sarah. I'm amazed at how close they got. I really wanna know his story. He's the scariest of all of them. Truly, deeply crazy. Sociopathic at best. But damn, he had a really weird, nice side. At least with Sarah.
Skirt was funny with his kilt and no underwear, and that Scottish accent.
I can't wait to get to know all the guys better. I really wanna read Tool's or Tongue's book.

I loved this book. One reason why I enjoy the MC romances is because of the sense of brotherhood and the criminal behavior that seems to provide the backbone for these novels. This book is short (only about 250 pages), and even though the focus is on the romance, we still get plenty of gore and violence. I do think that the novel could have easily been a little longer to allow for more twists in that overall plotline, but it was fast-paced, action-packed, and blood soaked. What more can a girl ask for in a dark romance?
While reading, I did notice that Sarah’s character is a little skeletal, and I had to go back and read the prequel to understand her backstory and why she’s living with the MC. That said, I still wish we had more about the other aspects of her life. She has one friend outside of the MC (David), but we hardly see him. She’s still in school, but there isn’t a single scene set there. I would have liked for more scenes that weren’t necessarily driving the plot forward or serving the sole purpose of demonstrating the sexual tension between her and Reaper.
That said, this was a fabulous dark romance. I’m eager to read more in this series, but I’m sad that Tongue’s book is book 8. I don’t want to wait that long! He’s by far the most interesting character--with his penchant for cutting out the tongues of his enemies, the way he treats his knife like his pet, and his extensive knowledge of fashion.
4 stars.

So I wanted to like this book but something kept me from warming up to it. After reading some of the reviews raving about it, I started to wonder if I had read the same book. Maybe it was the pushy 16 year old girl chasing her fathers best friend and throwing herself at him? Maybe it was the way he was attracted to her and was crude to her but was gonna wait until she was 18 to start something with her. Now normally, I dont mind age gap romances...in either direction. But for some reason I did not care for this one at all. Reaper is the head of the MC and Sarah is his dead best friends daughter. They clearly have an attraction to each other but because of her young age...well, they wait until she is 18 and he cant fight it anymore. I didn't care for either character and just could not find something to like. The storyline was a typical MC horror show but just didn't deliver for me. Definitely not my cup of tea.

Great book... this is the first full book of this series... The Ruthless Kings. Think I'm ready going to like it.

This book begins where the Prequel ended. These are some really bad boys... I mean men...lol. They do lots of good things for their community but don't mess with them or the ones they love.... They won't think twice about killing you or at least shutting you up permanently.

Reaper has fault himself and having feelings for an under aged girl. He knows it's wrong and has made himself sick trying to stay away until she was legal but she has been fighting to get in his pants. Seems someone else has been waiting for her to be legal also.

"Reaper" had me torn in two. On one hand, I loved the story. It was suspenseful, steamy and quite violent BUT, I'm not a fan of age-gap stories, especially when the age difference is like the one Sarah and Reaper had. That being said, I just read this book in just few hours and I'm going to read Boomer's story soon!

P.S. An extra ⭐ because I LOVE the cover!

Reaper by K.L. Savage is the first full length novel in the Ruthless Kings MC Series: Las Vegas Chapter.
It has to be said, I am loving K.L. Savage's gritty, raw and dangerous spin to the MC world. These men are turning out to be how I imagined them to be... Ruthless and Alpha! But I do have a warning, If you don't like Age-Gap romances.. a twenty year age difference between the anti-hero and his love interest then this is definitely not the novel for you. I, on the other hand and for the most part, loved the hell out of this novel, give or take a few small nit picky moments.

Let's start with Reaper. Reaper is the president of the Ruthless Kings MC, and this man is about as Ruthless as they come. To sum it up, Reaper is a crazy badass, as are most of the men in the Ruthless Kings MC. I have a strong feeling the more I read of this series, the crazier the men will become.... AND I CAN'T WAIT!!! Bring on all the crazy alpha vibes!! Reaper is protective of those he holds near and dear to him, and honestly, I don't blame the man for being a tad bit overbearing in this novel considering his best friend, Hawk, died by the hands of a rival.

And then we have Sarah, Hawk's estranged daughter. Barely eighteen, Sarah is a force to be reckoned with. Since she was sixteen and first set her eyes on Reaper, she knew there was no other man in the world meant for her. Reaper is it and she'll do everything in her power to make him see her for the woman she is and not for the teenager that came stumbling broken and bruised into his club a few years ago. But Sarah has her work cut out for her, Reaper may not live by the code of the law, but for the most part, he lives by the moral code. He's made a vow to himself and a vow to the spirit of Hawk, he won't go there with his daughter. But temptation can be a 'ruthless' bitch! I loved Sarah's flirtatious attitude and I loved the fact that she was the only person in this whole damn novel to put Reaper in his place. This girl had a backbone, that's for damned sure. But underneath the cool cocky exterior, Sarah is still that little girl who feels neglect and rejection like a stab to her heart. And every time Reaper denies her advances, it's like another knife wound in the chest.

And herein lies why I really liked this novel, I loved the fact that Reaper waited until Sarah was a legal adult to give in to his little firecracker. And holy hell, did these two give in!! I damn near had to fan my kindle a time or two. Their combustible chemistry throughout the novel gave for some pretty great sexual tension, and that tension ignited... where talking scorching hot sexy time mode! Gah, I don't think my eyes could get any wider!

Now onto why I rated it a 3 ½ Stars. You see, I really did enjoy this novel...But, I felt it was a tad bit rushed during certain moments. I wanted more sexy moments between Reaper and Sarah because I'm selfish like that. I also wanted to see more of the vulnerability side to Sarah, I loved those moments when she was just a woman with emotions and a love for a man who is forbidden to her. Again, I'm a selfish reader.

But aside from all that, I really did enjoy Reaper and Sarah's story. I thought it was intense, dangerous, and sexy as sin. I can't wait to continue on with the Ruthless Kings MC Series! Ah, bring on all the crazy badasses!!!!

I don't normally like MC romances, but I freaking LOVED this! When I first read the blurb and saw that it was an age gap with the forbidden twist of the father's best friend, I instantly wanted it. What I didn't expect was to fall in love with every single character. Reaper, Sarah, Boomer, Tool, Tongue.. all of these characters I want more of!

I loved the push and pull between Reaper and Sarah, the obvious connection and love they had for each other, but seeing them wait until Sarah turned 18 (she is seventeen when we first meet her) is an aspect that I truly adored. She is not your average teenager, especially with all that she has endured in her young life, but she is definitely an old soul. I just loved the love these two had for each other! And the fact that her crazy matched his crazy!😉

There are some definitely intense, suspenseful and downright violent moments, but I loved it all! I can't recommend this book enough -- even if MC isn't your normal go-to, read this book! Plus it's not AF! That cover alone is enough to one click!

I cannot wait for more books in the series! I definitely have a new favorite author!

**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!**

Reaper is a story about Sarah. She’s had feelings for her dad’s best friend for few years. She sometimes thinks about moving on but she knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to go after it. Unfortunately Reaper or Jesse like she calls him isn’t giving her even a bread crumb of hope because of their age differences

“It makes me want to kill that fucker all over again. I know anything you did, you had to do to stay alive.”

Sarah loves to drive Reaper crazy even though it breaks her heart every time he rejects her. Sometimes I wanted her to just move on but on other hand I love how sure she was about what she wanted. Sarah thinks boy her age are soft and boring and unlike many female characters in books she didn’t find some random guy character to try to move on with, knowing she isn’t interest in anyone besides Reaper.

I really liked Tongue and I’m very interested of reading a book about him if K.L Savage ever writes one about him.

“How could I not love you? You think these last few years have been easy? I’m so much older than you. You had no idea how it felt having to wait for you to turn eighteen. Staying away, being rude, fighting you. It was the only way for me to stay sane.”

I really enjoyed this book and almost finished it one sitting but it felt like forever until Reaper and Sarah’s “real” romance started. I liked that Reaper refused to do anything until she was eighteen but it took awhile. I wouldn’t recommend this book if you’re searching something fluffy.

Even though Reaper can't deny his attraction to Sarah, he can't go there. Sarah is the sister to Boomer and her father was Reaper's best friend. If there is anyone that is off limits it is Sarah, not to mention she is only 17. Sarah though knows Reaper is the man for her and never questions he wants her until the day he makes it clear. Problem is it becomes more complicated when he acts on his attraction to her, can they find their own happily ever after or are they doomed to fail?

I wanted to like this but did not care for Sarah. With her only 17 she is throwing herself at Reaper and it was too much. It got better as the story went but just didn't care much for the heroine.

Not for the faint of heart. The pulse pounding action is nothing compared to the tension between Reaper and Sarah.

I have been waiting for the conclusion of this book. You can't deny what the heart wants even if it's your dead best friends daughter who is too pure and innocent but she will shock you. Sarah is the crazy half of this duo. So good and worth the wait. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntary review.

REAPER is the first full-length instalment in KL Savage’s contemporary, adult RUTHLESS KINGS erotic, MC romance series focusing on the members of the Ruthless Kings MC. This is thirty-eight year old, club president Reaper, and soon to be eighteen year old, Sarah’s story line. Sarah and Reaper’s story first begins in the prequel novella –REAPER’S RISE-currently free with bookfunnel.

WARNING: Due to the graphic nature of the premise, there may be some triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Sarah and Reaper) REAPER follows the building relationship between thirty-eight year old, club president Reaper, and soon to be eighteen year old, Sarah. Approximately eight years earlier, Reaper’s best friends and club VP Hawk was murdered, and in the ensuing aftermath Reaper raised Hawk’s son Jenkins aka Boomer like his own. Fast forward six years and Reaper would come face to face with his future in the guise of a bruised and battered young woman, Sarah, a young woman that would ultimately control his heart. What ensues is the back and forth, sexual frustration and palpable attraction between Sarah and Reaper, an attraction forbidden until Sarah becomes of age.

Meanwhile, the Ruthless Kings find themselves the target of an unknown enemy but an enemy closely connected to the local cartel. Shots are fired, buildings explode, violence, mayhem, murder and revenge, and Sarah and Jenkins’ lives hang in the balance, when a psychotic young man takes what doesn’t belong.

The relationship between Sarah and Reaper is one of the forbidden. Reaper refuses to give in to his attraction to, and need for Sarah, waiting until her eighteenth birthday but Sarah doesn’t make is easy, as she continues to flaunt her body, and slowly seduce the man she has loved for close to two years. The $ex scenes are intimate, passionate and aggressive.

There is a large ensemble case of colorful and energetic secondary and supporting characters. We are introduced to the Ruthless Kings MC: Jenkins aka Boomer, Tongue, Skirt, Poodle, Tool, Doc, Tank, Pirate and Bullseye; hotelier and cartel head Mateo Moretti and his step-son Fabian Trullo. Boomer’s story line is next.

REAPER is a story of family, friendships, duty and love; betrayal and vengeance. The premise is dark and gritty; the characters are dynamic; the romance is seductive and intense.

This was an interesting story. Not sure really how to rate it but went with what I went with because the story itself was amazing. Really hot and steamy. Sarah has come into the MC Club because her Father was a club member back in the day. But it never explains what happened to Sarah’s mom for her to wind up in foster care when she was younger. Sarah was placed in many different homes and each one was worse than the other. Her last foster care father abused Sarah and Jesse AKA Reaper kills him and takes Sarah in…I think. I got lost a bit on that part.

But Sarah was only 16 when she arrived and not old enough for Reaper to act on his feeling towards her. Reaper is a grown adult in his late 30’s/early 40’s so he knows his feeling aren't right. He knows when she turns 18, he will finally be able to act on his feelings. Sarah has the hots for Reaper also. She tries to act on them before she is 18, but Reaper stays strong and doesn't succumb to her attempts at seducing him. But boy, when she turns 18, it gets HOT AND HEAVY.

“Sarah has made my soul her house, and she is the one that anchors me home”.

There are a few spelling errors in the story and that bothered me a bit. But it was really a good story. I haven’t read a MC Romance in a long time so this was a good one to get me back into the genre again.
