What's New: Records of the Cadbury Trusts

This collection documents the work of the eight interrelated trusts and companies created by Barrow and Geraldine Cadbury and their son Paul Cadbury. These include the Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust, the Barrow Cadbury Fund (a benevolent fund), the Paul S. Cadbury Trust, the Barrow Cadbury Fund Ltd. (a charitable company), the Southfield Trust, the Worgan Trust, Chapmans Hill School Farm Ltd. and the Barrow Cadbury Trust.

The records span nearly a century beginning with the establishment of the Barrow and Geraldine S. Cadbury Trust in 1920 as an extension of the considerable private charitable giving of Birmingham Quakers Barrow and Geraldine Cadbury. The Cadbury Trusts have, and continue to, promote peace and social justice through the funding of innovative extensive documentation of the Trusts' work in a diversity of fields ranging from race relations to nuclear non-proliferation.

An Account of Three Charitable Trusts and a Benevolent Company with a foreword by Paul S. Cadbury

This account was intended for private circulation among Trustees and Directors of the Cadbury Trusts. It covers the history of the Trusts and Fund and includes an overview of current programme themes and expenditures. Chapters include 'The Society of Friends as a Church', 'Education', 'Problem Families' and 'Charitable Trusts and their Management Today'. This account can be downloaded via the link below.

Biennial report for the years 1969/1970 to 1970/1971

The Cadbury Trusts' published their first biennial report in 1971 for internal distribution. The report attempted to define the areas of work, organisational thinking and financial position of the Cadbury Trusts. The reports have been digitised.
