Dr Chris is a practitioner-first public academic focused on AI, lean and green economy, and human behaviour

Dr Chris Brauer is Director of Innovation in the Institute of Management Studies (IMS) at Goldsmiths, University of London. He is a Canadian-born academic and entrepreneur living and working in London. He revels in the intersections of disciplines and boundaries including those between industry and academic and those between academic disciplines.His research has been covered in over 400 media outlets worldwide including the Financial Times, Sunday Times, Wall Street Journal, BBC News, Daily Mail, BBC Click, China Central TV (CCTV), Globo, CBC, CNN, and CNBC. His ongoing practical experiences on the front lines of innovation, disruptive growth opportunities, and wicked problems facing society and the economy informs his teaching and research.

Chris Brauer is Chairman of Innovation and member of the advisory board at Edelman. He is global strategy officer with the World Economic Forum (WEF) and Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) at AI strategy, solutions, and research firm Symmetry.

Teaching and supervision

Dr Chris is Director of the MSc Management of Innovation (MoI) programme and teaches Innovation Case Studies, Innovation Theory, and Project Management to an interdisciplinary and inquisitive bunch of UG and PG students.
