Brought to you by Digital Schoolhouse in association with Electronic Arts, the Festival of Play is a brand-new creative careers and Computing conference for students aged 8-15 years, packed with interactive workshops, inspiring talks, and innovative games.

Not only will the Festival of Play educate and empower students to get hands on with technology used in the field, STEAM subjects and related jobs, it will also equip accompanying teachers with creative and playful ways to approach Computing in the classroom.

Register via Eventbrite to join us at HOST Salford on Wednesday 13 July. This unique school trip will showcase the breadth and depth of careers available in the UK games industry.

Alongside fun activities, music and entertainment, the opportunity to meet people who work in the games industry will bring the day’s learnings full circle - enabling students to understand how exactly what they are learning today will shape their future careers of tomorrow.

Workshops include making music for video games, motion capture, creating game art and career planning. You can let us know the topics you're interested in when you register for the event and you'll receive your workshop schedule nearer the event.

Tickets are limited and so we ask that each school books for one class of up to 30 students. Please book only for the number of students you are planning to bring. If for any reason any students are unable to come, please cancel their ticket so that we can allocate that space to someone else.
