Cox meets his match & she doesn't play hockey! These two go way back but neither had enough confidence to pursue their attraction to one another. Now they are older, wiser and a tad bolder but relationship shy, lol. Enjoyed this addition to the series and I am looking forward to go this saga will process. I love the hook at the ending....shocking!

I got this boxed set for one story only and that was for Nana Malone's Ransom which is part of her Player Series. This story was worth the boxed set alone. I did not read any of the other stories I was not interested in that. If you are a Nana Malone fan then in my opinion you wouldn't be disappointed. She did a good job of getting into the psyche of Ransom and his feeling of not being good enough. I liked both characters of Ransom and Lexa. They are both feel they are not good enough for each other. They have fireworks from the start, it's whether they can get past their past to move forward with a relationship and trust each other? Not sure how the other authors did, if you are a fan of any of the other authors then I would recommend taking a chance on this boxed set.

Every time I think I have found my favorite in this series, Nana Malone proves me wrong. I read Ransom in the Hot in Ice box set. Ransom is a standalone, but at the same time, there is an ongoing storyline. I wouldn't call it a cliffhanger, because Ransom and Lexa get their HEA. But, I can say that I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I really liked Lexa. She made mistakes. She acknowledged them and owned them. I liked Ransom with Lexa. They have each other a soft, safe place to land. After they worked through that bump in the road, I have to hope we get to see more of them. This was a quick, easy read. I did not out it down until I read the last page. I am really having a hard time deciding on my favorites in this series. I have 2 or 3 running neck and neck.
