Basic Rules Of Among Us

What Is Among Us?

screen

Among Us is a party game for 4-10 players. Players are divided into 2 teams, Crewmates and Impostors. The goal of the Crewmates is to complete tasks to maintain and fix the spaceship, while the Impostor's goal is to sabotage the entire mission before the task gauge fills up. Players will discuss amongst each other, vote for suspicious players and eject them out into the cold abyss of space. Crewmates can also win by ejecting all Impostors.

Objectives Of Each Role

RoleObjective
Crewmates- Complete tasks and fill up the gauge
- Eject all Impostors
- Fix the sabotaged devices
Imposters- Kill off Crewmates
- Sabotage O2 or Reactor and have the countdown reach the end

Use Settings To Change The Rules

If you are the host of the game, you can adjust and change the rule of the game from settings. See the guide below for our recommended settings and host a fun game with other players.

How To Play As A Crewmate

Complete Tasks

task

As a Crewmate, your main job will be to complete tasks to fill up the task gauge. All Crewmates share the same gauge displayed in left upper part of the screen. The Crewmate team wins when this gauge is filled, but you'll have to avoid getting killed by Impostors while doing this.

Eject All Impostors

voting

When a member of your team seems to be particularly suspicious, report it to other players and try to vote them out. There are 2 ways of initiating a discussion phase; finding a dead body (and reporting it) or push the emergency meeting button. This is the only time you'll be able to communicate with other players.

How To Play As A Impostor

Kill Crewmate

If you are an Impostor, your main job will be to sow discord among the ship and sabotage it. One way to do this is to kill Crewmates. When killing Crewmates, you need to be careful not to be seen by other players, as they can and will out you as an Imposter.

Sabotage Devices & Create Chaos

sabotage

Sabotaging has different effects such as forcing Crewmates to relocate to certain rooms to fix a device or turning off the lights to limit Crewmates' vision. Impostors can also win by sabotaging the O2 or the reactor. If the countdown reaches 0, you'll win the game!

Use Vents To Move Quickly

Using the vents lying around the station allows Imposter to secretly move to a different room quickly. Careful not to be seen by others using vents since only Imposters can use vents.

Vent positions differ according to the map you're playing on. There are three types of zones: check out a list and annotated full maps of them below.
