Desenvolver o conhecimento em Serviço Social na Saúde através da incorporação de teorias, metodologias e métodos de pesquisa que promovam ima intervenção qualificada neste domínio do conhecimento e campo de atuação profissional.

- Dominar o conhecimento em Serviço Social na Saúde nas suas diferentes áreas de intervenção;
- Analisar os resultados de investigações Contemporâneas, nacionais e internacionais nos diferentes cenários da prática do Serviço Social na Saúde;
- Aplicar o conhecimento produzido à prática profissional e refletir criticamente sobre trabalho de pesquisa social na saúde.
- Interpretar a prática profissional com base em referenciais teóricos relevantes inovando o desempenho profissional.

Os Conteúdos programáticos procuram preparar os estudantes para uma intervenção em serviço social suportada em saberes teóricos. Em resposta aos objetivos, desenvolvemos um pensamento reflexivo e crítico, não só sobre a própria intervenção mas também sobre a própria realidade social, através dos referenciais teórico-metodológicos e instrumentais.

The Syllabus seek to prepare students for an intervention in social work supported in theoretical knowledge. In response to the objectives, develop a reflective and critical thinking, not only about the intervention itself but also about social reality itself, through the theoretical and methodological frameworks and instruments.

A metodologia de ensino é caracterizada por exposição e debate, promovendo um método reflexivo, expresso nos objetivos da Unidade Curricular aliando o tratamento teórico dos conteúdos programáticos associados a uma dimensão participativa do estudante com vista á compreensão e assimilação dos conteúdos teóricos e a sua pertinência quando aplicados no exercício profissional.

The teaching methodology is characterized by exposure and debate, promoting a reflective method, expressed the objectives of the Course combining the theoretical treatment of the syllabus associated with a participatory dimension of the student will view with understanding and assimilation of the theoretical contents and their relevance when applied in the practice.
