[Note Marcato](https://www.instagram.com/notemarcato/?hl=en), the multi-dimensional and artistically sound wunderkind debuts his video for his latest, “BlackHeart ‘39.” The 19-year-old prodigy, born Nasir Dior Dean is the son of super-producer Swizz Beatz. His father was the first to introduce him to his craft, placing a turntable in front of him at a young age. After years of studying, he taught himself the art of production but shortly after found a love for performing. Now, under the working-name Note Marcato, he’s building a discography of his own. His upcoming project explores a period of transition as he managed school and becoming the artist he is today.  Inspired by blue skies and warm tides, _BeachBum Limbo_ is an oceanic body of sound that offers waves of colorful vibes and emotions. Marcato spent the summer of 2019 creating his first EP based upon his own experiences. “It’s called _BeachBum Limbo_ because I was in the middle of signing a record deal and stressed out because I was still in school and my mind was in different places,” he said. “I was going to the beach to clear my mind.” Known best for donning his signature skull makeup, his lead single, “Black Heart ’39,” a party starter that instead of asking listeners to raise their hands, demands they lift the mask covering societal insecurities. “BlackHeart ‘39” and the rest of the EP shows off his skill with the pen as he credits himself as a songwriter while he laces his smooth voice across the beat. Set to release Summer of 2020, _BeachBum Limbo_ comes with a message and Note Marcato is the deliverer. “I make music as if I’m trying to save the world.” Photographed by Art Johnson ![Photographed by Art Johnson](https://assets-global.website-files.com/62ee0bbe0c783a903ecc0ddb/6472bdff2bb4ed99bc70fc56_image-asset.jpeg) Photographed by Art Johnson
