Important Note:

 
Early settlement discount do not apply to non-subsidised/ extracurricular programmes (Whole & Bridging programmes, Short Learning Programmes, and Continuing Education Programmes).

 
A discount for the early settlement of a fee account is not granted where the fees were settled by a sponsor or employee.

 
The discount only applies to 2024 registered students for 2024 tuition and UJ residence fees.

A student may qualify for a discount on her/his tuition and residence fees, if his/her account was settled for the year as follows:

•    On or before 28 February - 5% discount
•    On or before 31 March - 3% discount
•    On or before 30 April - 2% discount

If your application for discount was approved, and the processing thereof results in a credit on your student account:

•    you may apply for a refund through the online refund process (https://www.uj.ac.za/admission-aid/student-finance/refund-application/online-refund-application/) OR;
•    The credit can be carried over to the following year and used as a minimum payment (or portion thereof).

To apply for the discount you need to complete the following steps:

1. Answer all questions below and submit the form;

2. After you successfully submitted this form, send an e-mail to studentaccounts@uj.ac.za with your proof of payment and the subject line: 

"Discount application: *student number*"
