My daughter, Millie, was 1 month old when my husband, Tony found a lump. My son, Freddie was 3. At the same time covid was just entering the UK and hospitals telling of cancer patient delays. I wondered how we were suddenly part of this nightmare? I’d never stopped to think about the financial impact of cancer, my husband was self employed at the time and not entitled to furlough. I was made redundant whilst on maternity leave. The house renovation project we had ploughed all our savings into had to stop. We were living in a static caravan - with two crazy dogs! Our lives had literally turned upside down overnight. I took to running, the only thing that’s kept me sane! Running the London marathon for Cancer Research UK is a dream come true. So many family’s effected - longing for a cure. This is my small effort to help and remember those - past, present & future. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m raising money for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate to my page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
