We offer a number of flexible working options depending on the role such as part-time, voluntary reduced time, job share, term time, flexi time and home working. We also operate a career break scheme. 

We offer a minimum of 24 days leave per year (pro rata for part-time workers) which rises as your time with the council increases. This is in addition to 9 concessionary days per year.

You have the opportunity to join the Local Government Pension Scheme. A career average scheme with over 267,000 members and 400 scheme employers.

Our Annual Performance Conversation procedure provides an opportunity for our employees to have some dedicated time with their line manager to help ensure that the performance and development of all our employees is managed effectively and fairly.
