Letters from the Chief Medical Officer for Wales (CMO) to those who are shielding are currently being issued. This letter confirms the announcement by the CMO on 15th July, that individuals who have been shielding no longer need to do so from 16th August. The letter also provides details of the support that will continue to be available to this group. A copy of the letter is attached for your information.
This statement is being issued during recess in order to keep members informed. Should members wish me to make a further statement or to answer questions on this when the Senedd returns I would be happy to do so.
