In close cooperation with the United Nations and the Governments of Argentina, Mozambique and Singapore (co-hosts of the three Ministerial Roundtables), the Government of Portugal invites you to attend the High-Level Symposium on Water, Bridging SDG 6 and SDG 14 – fresh and saltwater communities working together, to be held in Lisbon, on the 27th of June 2022, in the framework of the UN Ocean Conference as one of its Special Events.

As part of the roadmap leading to the 2023 UN Water Conference, and with the engagement of all stakeholders, this High-Level Symposium aims to contribute to the Conference’s preparatory process, and its outcomes will be used to inform other sustainable development and water-related processes, guaranteeing that this won’t be a “drop in the ocean”, but a step further in bridging SDG 6 and SDG 14.

Join us in the reflection about how to enhance and strengthen coordination between fresh water and ocean policies, to reinforce partnerships at local, regional, sub-national, national and global levels, and, also, to realize how much the sustainable management of water and wastewater services can impact the implementation of SDG14.

It will be a great honour to welcome you in Lisbon.
