Our Lead Associates said this about working on the Golden Thread Programmes…

As a Lead Associate, it is a most exhilarating experience meeting so many people from different contexts and supporting the next generation of teachers who are inspiring hundreds of children. Talking to teachers and leaders and visiting schools is enriching for me, as I always learn something and see wonderful school learning environments. For me it is about giving something back to the profession, making a difference, while at the same time learning from others, further developing my guidance and problem-solving skills.

Lead Associate, Appropriate Body and NPQSL Having responsibility for ECTs in my school, being a Lead Associate for Star Appropriate Body gives me a real insight into the process behind the assessment of teachers new to the profession. It also quality assures my practice and gives me opportunity to meet with colleagues in other schools to discuss the Early Career Framework and how the assessment of ECT sits alongside this. It’s a really good opportunity for anyone in schools who has anything to do with ECTs.

Associate, Appropriate Body p

I have thoroughly enjoyed the Expert Associate role this term. It has been a really diverse and thought-provoking process to be involved in and considering the range of varied requests for support has been both interesting and rewarding. The role offers an excellent opportunity to look into your own personal experience and professional learning and use this to coach a colleague through a question or area of interest. I would thoroughly recommend the role to an experienced senior leader looking to develop system leadership experience or offer the opportunity to consider leadership dilemmas from a range of different contexts.
