Responsibilities included selling Analytical Chemistry Products (SPE Consumables and Instruments) into the environmental – food/agriculture markets within the assigned territory (NY, NJ, PA, OH, WV, MD, DE, VA). This role is responsible for growth, quarter on quarter and year on year. Managing customer relationships and assistance in development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives. This role will report into our Salem, New Hampshire location.
Essential Role Functions:
Achieve defined monthly, quarterly and annual targets for revenue, profitability for the territory and specific product volumes
Responsible for lead generation and management including identification, initial qualification and development of leads
Identify and developing new customer relationships
Identify and execute cost-effective lead generation campaigns targeted at end users, including advertising, PR, trade shows, newsletters and webinars
Installation and support of less sophisticated systems and separation products and provide first level support for customers’ service needs
Determine market requirements and work with the R&D group to develop new products
Perform hands-on demonstration of instruments and consumable products to demonstrate business value and product differentiation
Provide the organization and channel partners with valuable sales tools, including competitive analysis, ROI calculators, and RFP templates
Accurate and up to date documentation of sales activities and opportunity status in CRM platform
Represent the company at conferences
Develop and present technical seminars
Generate quotes and negotiate pricing within authorized limits
Provide on time and accurate sales forecasts
Provide accurate and on time standard reports and ad hoc information requests
Support company initiatives as well as sales and marketing strategies

Experience/ Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a Science based discipline
3 - 5 years of analytical system sales experience
Track record of success in growing sales revenue for consumable product lines
SPE and environmental market sales experience a plus
Excellent verbal, written communication skills, customer service, presentation and interpersonal skills
Proficient computer skills including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and CRM software (Salesforce.com)
Must be able to drive in the USA and Canada. Must provide professional automobile for travel to customer’s sites. Must be able to fly and rent automobiles.
Work Environment:
Field based position working at customer sites and in chemistry laboratories
Travel Requirements:
3-5 (average of 4) days per week in the field directly interfacing with prospects and customers.
1-3 (average of 2) overnights per week.
