About me

I have not always been a writer. I began my working life as a horse person which led to a love of classical riding and training to develop a deeper understanding and communication with horses. I still ride, but simply for pleasure, both mine and the horses.

My writing journey began after graduating with a Masters degree in creative writing from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. Since then my short stories have been published both on line and in various anthologies. My first book, Paper Horses, a reflective memoir, was published by Black Bee Books in February 2022.

I live not far from the stunning Gower peninsula in South Wales and am a single mother to a talented daughter, two horses and fiendishly spooky cat.

Paper Horses

A Reflective Memoir: surviving coercive control
From South Wales to France and Portugal, Paper Horses is a thought provoking reflection on life and coming of age tale written with both honesty and a dash of magic.

Review by award winning author Carly Holmes.
“Paper Horses is a brave, insightful and compassionate account of love an betrayal, and of just how resilient the human spirit is when it has to be. A magical blend of the horrors of a grim reality and the fantastical, life-saving inner world of a soul who will not surrender, it’s deeply touching and ultimately uplifting.”
