Areas of expertise: Civil war dynamics; civil war termination and recurrence; peace agreement design and implementation

Jason Michael Quinn is Research Associate Professor of Political Science at the Kroc Institute. Quinn’s scholarship focuses on civil war dynamics surrounding termination and recurrence processes. He has provided research support in these areas to negotiation processes in Colombia, Myanmar, Nepal, Syria, Venezuela, South Sudan, and the Philippines. Professor Quinn helps lead the official implementation verification support unit to the 2016 Colombian Peace Agreement and helped develop the methodology used to measure implementation.

Quinn’s work has appeared in the British Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Conflict Resolution, the Journal of Peace Research, Negotiation Journal, Research and Politics, Defense and Peace Economics, International Studies Perspectives, Social Science Research, International Interactions, and edited volumes. 

Quinn holds a Ph.D. in comparative politics from the University of North Texas.
