The vision for the Learning and Teaching Academy is simple. We are a vibrant, University-wide community enthused and inspired by learning, committed to sharing ideas, and energised by creative and engaging practice.
The Learning and Teaching Academy supports and encompasses everyone engaged in teaching and learning. It is a true collaboration: across our Schools, our campuses, our student community, our professional services teams, and our partners and friends in the wider higher education sector.
The Learning and Teaching Academy creates opportunities for inspiring conversations, for innovating in practice, for learning from each other and sharing experiences of what really works in teaching practice. Colleagues will be able to access support to help them at key points in their teaching career, with tailored development programmes for those new to teaching and for those who have considerable experience and insight to share.
Our approach to realising the Inspiring Learning ambition, set out in the University’s Learning and Teaching Strategy 2019-25, is framed around four key areas: Inspiring Teaching, Inspiring Collaboration, Inspiring Innovation and Scholarship, and Inspiring Leadership in Learning and Teaching.
We hope you will join us in building the Learning and Teaching Academy, in celebrating inspiring teaching, and in helping our global learning community flourish.
