Travelling has never been easier for Under 19s in West Yorkshire with a simplified fare structure across all West Yorkshire buses. 

MySingle tickets (Maximum capped prices)

Short journey single fare (less than a mile) 60p
Medium journey single fare (up to 5 miles) £1.20 (available to buy on the MCard Mobile App)
Inter-urban/city journey single fare (over 5 miles) £1.80

MySingle tickets can be purchased on-board the bus on the day of use or buy in advance from your bus operator’s mobile app. The £1.20 fare is also available via the MCard Mobile app.

Buying tickets on the MCard Mobile App is the most convenient way to buy tickets. Under 19 daily, weekly and monthly tickets are available to purchase via the MCard Mobile App.

If you don’t have a smartphone and therefore unable to use the MCard Mobile App, your parent/guardian can apply for an Under 19 PhotoCard which can be loaded with daily, weekly or monthly tickets for just buses, or buses and trains within West Yorkshire.

The MyWeek ticket is now available to buy on the bus, which gives Under 19s unlimited weekly bus travel across West Yorkshire on any bus. Just ask the driver when you board.

NOTE: Customers using these tickets must be Under 19 for the entirety of the ticket validity. Drivers may ask to see proof of entitlement. It’s best to have an Under 19 PhotoCard, but you can also show another form of identification such as a passport, driver’s licence or NUS card. Identification 

If you are wearing a school uniform or look under 19, you should not be asked for proof of ID to use a young person’s ticket on the bus.  However, if you are not wearing a school uniform and look over 18, your bus driver might ask for identification to prove entitlement to use your concessionary ticket. It’s best to have an Under 19 PhotoCard, but you can also show another form of identification such as a passport, driver’s licence or NUS card.
