Mobile UK Launches 5G and Health Campaign

Today we are launching our latest campaign - #5GCheckTheFacts – to help inform, educate, and debunk the myths surrounding 5G and health.

A suite of campaign materials are now available to download from our website – www.mobileuk.org/5G-and-health - to arm you with useful, easy-to-understand information to be used as required and help you respond to enquiries and concerns about 5G.
As you will all be aware, despite the research and scientific evidence, over recent years public opinion has been swayed by inaccurate, non-factual reports and conspiracy theories that state mobile phones, and particularly 5G, poses a danger to your health.

Following extensive research with the UK public and key target sectors we found that while only a very small minority are against 5G, a significant number of those surveyed were unclear whether 5G does or does not pose a health risk.

We have therefore created this campaign to help alleviate concerns and improve understanding. We have been careful to significantly reduce the use of scientific and technological terms and explain the science in the simplest of ways, while highlighting that 5G is much more than improving consumer convenience, it has significant societal benefits to help improve, and even save lives.

You can now download information toolkits, fact sheets, infographics, and mini packs on the benefits of 5G from our website. We can also supply a series of social media GIFs which help bust the myths and highlight key societal benefits of 5G with you on request.

Please do share the campaign with colleagues and associates, visit our website, review the materials, and follow the campaign on our social media channels @MobileUK_News.

We would very much welcome if you would consider promoting this vital campaign through your distribution channels and newsletters. The campaign has been specifically designed to provide information and collateral to Councils, Councillors and Officers to ensure that they have what they need to respond to queries and questions on 5G and health and its broader societal benefits.

We are very much aware of the growth in interest in this topic and the desire to have the right information at your fingertips and we hope that this campaign will go some way to providing you with what you need.

We will use #5GCheckTheFacts to help spread the facts about 5G and we urge you to adopt this hashtag in your own communications. Our intention is that this is used far beyond our own campaign and acts as a signpost to factual, scientific evidence about 5G.

If you would like any further information or discuss the campaign, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
