Abstract. Dirac-like nonlinear equations (DNLE) continue to gain prominence in diverse physical contexts including bosonic evolution in honeycomb lattices and light propagation in binary waveguide arrays and the so-called photonic graphene to name some. As with other models, much can be learned in the theoretical exploration of discrete and continuous Dirac-like models. In this talk we will provide an overview and future work of the theoretical properties of both discrete and the continuous models as well as some numerical findings for a class of DNLEs.
