Stirling Moss Trophy

The Stirling Moss Trophy – the go-to Series for late Fifties Sports Cars

Named after the late Sir Stirling Moss, this series, for ‘proper’ sports-racing cars built before 1961,  is regarded as one of the most prestigious grids for Sports Racing Cars of this era.  The winning team are presented each year with the actual trophy Sir Stirling won at the 1955 British Grand Prix – his first ever Grand Prix victory.  Motor Racing Legends is privileged to continue to honour the Great Man this way.

The Stirling Moss trophy has always offered longer two-driver races and an authentic racing experience true to the ’50s era.  Evolved from the former long-running BRDC Historic Sports Car Championship, participants are restricted to cars running to genuine period specification, with an expectation of driving standards that are ‘gentlemanly’ as well as competitive. The grid has been hugely popular since the outset, and continues to be so year on year.

Rules for the Stirling Moss Trophy state that all cars must conform strictly to period specification. All races are for one or two driver entries, and feature a compulsory pit stop.
