The IRS and Treasury Department are working to provide “quick guidance” on provisions of the new tax-and-climate law, an IRS official said Tuesday.
Notices of proposed rulemaking should be published “very soon,” said Robin Greenhouse, division counsel for the IRS Large Business & International Division, at a conference hosted by the Tax Executives Institute.
The law, which President Joe Biden signed into law last month, includes a number of tax-related provisions, including clean energy tax incentives, a tax on stock buybacks, and a corporate alternative minimum tax.
