Just. Journal of Language Rights & Minorities, Revista de Drets Lingüístics i Minories is a scientific journal published by the University of València. The journal publishes two issues per year, one on Sant Jordi's Day (April 23) and the other on Sant Donís' Day (October 9). The aim of the journal is to promote the study of the rights of linguistic and ethnic minorities from different approaches that highlight their complexities as well as the need to incorporate a language rights perspective into political, academic, and public discussions on all types of social planning and assessment.

The journal has a special interest in promoting research. It therefore assigns a high priority to the publication of special issues on topical issues, on specific notional developments, on particular territories or populations, or on other aspects of language rights and minorities that encourage intra- and interdisciplinary dialogues in the creation of knowledge. Those interested in guest-editing a special issue may prepare a proposal based on the template available on the journal's website, and contact the Editorial Board to inquire about the planned publication schedule and whether there is any issue on the same topic in progress. Guest-editors will be expected to prepare an introduction for the monographic issue where they elaborate on the topic and contributions of their special issue. This introduction will also be peer-reviewed.

Just. Journal of Language Rights & Minorities, Revista de Drets Lingüístics i Minories also invites miscellaneous articles on different aspects of the protection, enforcement, and promotion of linguistic rights, from descriptive, critical, theoretical or empirical approaches. The Chair for Linguistic Rights covered the full costs of publication (APC) between 2022 and 2023. The costs are now supported by the Board, whose work is developed on a volunteer basis. All articles are published in open access.

All articles submitted to Just. Journal of Language Rights & Minorities, Revista de Drets Lingüístics i Minories must be original and unpublished, and should not be in any other evaluation or publication process. The journal's practices are guided by COPE guidelines, and authors are encouraged to ensure that their research meets international standards of ethical research.

Just. Journal of Language Rights & Minorities, Revista de Drets Lingüístics i Minories is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
