King Charles III

King Charles III, or Charles Philip Arthur George, is the current King of the United Kingdom, assuming the role upon the death of his mother on Sept. 8, 2022. He is the eldest son of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip. Charles married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981, making her Princess Diana at the time. The couple had two children — William, Prince of Wales and Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex — before divorcing in 1996. In 2005, he married Camilla Parker Bowles, making her the current Queen Consort. King Charles is a prolific philanthropist, having contributed to over 400 charities and organizations. He founded the Prince's Trust in 1976 and is also the sponsor of The Prince's Charities.
