Jennifer Hudson has shared a new song, “Here I Am (Singing My Way Home),” a tie-in track to the forthcoming Aretha Franklin biopic Respect. Carole King co-wrote the track with songwriter Jamie Hartman. Listen to the song, produced by Will.i.am, below.

King and her husband Gerry Goffin co-wrote one of Aretha Franklin’s biggest hits, “(You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman.” Following a delay, Respect is set to arrive on August 13. Mary J. Blige appears in the film as singer Dinah Washington, with Marc Maron taking on the role of producer Jerry Wexler.
