Lifelong learner, passionate for integrating knowledge and professionals from different fields to understand and untangle the complexity behind social and biological systems.

Currently, I am an Associate Professor at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), and a member of the Complex Systems Group (UPM) and the Complex Systems Interdisciplinary Group (UC3M).  My initial training was in physics at Universidad Complutense de Madrid and I did my PhD studying cosmological numerical simulations at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Afterwards, I developed my postdoctoral research studying problems related to socioeconomic and biological systems, combining techniques from different fields, such as complex systems, artificial intelligence, game theory, collective behaviour, physics, and evolutionary dynamics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), the Institute of Cognitive Sciences and Technologies (ISTC-CNR), KU Leuven, and the International Institute for Sustainability (IIS).
