احتفت مدرسة جيمس البرشاء الوطنية هذا الأسبوع بتخريج أول دفعة من طلبة السنة 13، مسلطة الضوء على الإنجازات والنجاحات التي حققها طلبتنا عن جدارة واقتدار. كما نفخر بما كرسه الطلبة من جهود دؤوبة في اجتيازهم متطلبات هذه المرحلة وتمهيد السبيل نحو مستقبل واعد. وبصفتهم أول دفعة من قادة المستقبل، فقد جسدوا روح الأمة وتألقوا في تسليم شعلة الأمل ونبراس المعرفة إلى جيل ينتظر بفارغ الصبر أن يحذو حذوهم في يوم من الأيام.
وكم كان ملهماً رؤية أروقة المدرسة هذا الأسبوع تزخر بالمواهب الإبداعية في شتى مجالات الاستعراض والفنون الإبداعية، والتي لم يتوانى طلبتنا عن إطلاق العنان لقدراتهم وإمكانياتهم وإبداعاتهم من خلالها، حيث أسروا قلوب الحاضرين وخطفوا أنفاسهم. ونتطلع لأسبوع آخر حافل بالأحداث والاحتفالات، فضلاً عن توزيع التقارير المدرسية النهائية للطلبة.
ختاماً، مع اقترابنا من نهاية العام الدراسي 2021-22، تقف كلمات الشكر والثناء عاجزة أمام ما قدمه أولياء الأمور من دعم متواصل، وما بذلوه من جهود حثيثة على مدار العام الدراسي للارتقاء بالمنظومة التعليمية وتحقيق أعلى معايير الشراكة التي نفخر في توطيدها وترسيخها على الدوام.
It is fitting that in the academic year where we have celebrated the UAE’s jubilee year, we have also celebrated our first graduating cohort of year 13 students. During their Graduation Ceremony this week we have looked back on their journey in education so far with great pride and wish them the very best for the future. As our pioneering first cohort of students they have embodied the spirit of the nation and have passed on a legacy of hope and aspiration for students following them in the years to come.
It has also been inspiring to see so much creativity on display this week. In all disciplines of performing and creative arts our students have been unleashing their potential and wowing their teachers and parents with their dedication, confidence, skills and talents. We look forward next week to the continuation of our exciting end-of-year trips programme and assemblies and will also be sharing students’ final reports of the year.
As we draw in on the close of the 2021-22 academic year, I would like to thank our deeply respected parents for the strong partnerships that we have developed and continue to strengthen and am excited about what we will be able to achieve in our ongoing journey of school improvement.

اليوم الأخير من الفصل الدراسي: تم تأكيد الجمعة 8 يوليو كعطلة رسمية وإغلاق المدرسة. وعليه فإن الخميس 7 يوليو سيكون هو اليوم الأخير في عام دراسي حافل بالأحداث. نتمنى لكل عضو في مجتمع مدرستنا عيد أضحى مبارك وبداية رائعة لعطلة الصيف التي تبدأ الجمعة المقبل.
رحلات نهاية الفصل الدراسي للمرحلة الثانوية: تم إرسال تفاصيل رحلات نهاية العام للمرحلة الثانوية إلى أولياء الأمور عبر البريد الإلكتروني كما تم تحميلها على تطبيق Microsoft Teams، ويجب أن يعيدها الطلاب بحلول الأول من يوليو ليتمكنوا من حضور الرحلة.
التقارير المدرسية لنهاية العام الدراسي: توضح تقارير نهاية العام لدينا رحلة التعلم للطلاب خلال العام الدراسي وتتضمن درجة نهاية العام. سيتلقى أولياء الأمور التقرير الدراسي لطفلهم عبر البريد الإلكتروني الأسبوع المقبل.
نتائج اختبارات شهادات المستوى المتقدم: من المقرر الإعلان عن نتائج اختبارات شهادات المستوى المتقدم يوم الخميس الموافق 18 أغسطس. وعليه، فإنه يمكن لأولياء الأمور والطلبة تسلم النتائج من قسم الاستقبال بين الساعة 12:00 ظهراً ولغاية الساعة 2:00 م في اليوم عينه أو اليوم الذي يليه بين الساعة 8:00 صباحاً ولغاية الساعة 2:00 م. يرجى إعلام المدرسة في حال تعذر الحضور لإرسال النتائج عبر البريد الإلكتروني.
نتائج اختبارات الشهادة الدولية العامة من التعليم الثانوي: بهذا نفيدكم بأنه سيتم الإعلان عن نتائج الاختبارات الرسمية يوم الخميس الموافق 25 أغسطس. وعليه، فإنه يمكن استلام النتائج من منطقة الاستقبال في المدرسة وذلك ابتداءً من الساعة 10:00 ص في يوم إصدار النتائج أو اليوم الذي يليه. في حال تعذر الحضور إلى المدرسة، يرجى إبلاغ المدرسة لإرسال النتائج عبر البريد الإلكتروني.
العودة إلى المدرسة والحضور: يبدأ العام الدراسي المقبل في التاسع والعشرين من شهر أغسطس (السنة الأولى والسابعة و السنوات الحادية عشر ولغاية الثالثة عشر ، الطلاب الجدد)، والثلاثاء الموافق 30 أغسطس: (المرحلة التأسيسية الأولى والثانية، المرحلة التعليمية من الصف الثاني ولغاية الصف السادس ، المرحلة التعليمية من المرحلة الثامنة ولغاية العاشرة ، طلاب جدد)
يتعين على كافة الطلبة العودة إلى المدرسة في التواريخ المذكورة أعلاه وذلك وفقاً للتقويم المعتمد بواسطة هيئة المعرفة والتنمية والبشرية. كما يجب استيفاء معايير الحضور التي لا تقل عن 95٪ .

Last day of Term: Friday 8th July has been confirmed as a Public Holiday and school closure. Therefore, Thursday 7th July will be the last day of an eventful school year. We wish every member of our school community a blessed Eid-ul-Adha and wonderful start to the summer holiday, starting next Friday.
Secondary End-of-Year Trips: Secondary trip letters have been emailed to parents and are uploaded onto Teams, students must have returned these by 1st of July to be able to attend the trip.
End-of-Year Reports: Our end of year reports capture the learning journey of students through the academic year and includes their end of year grade. Parents will receive their child’s report via email next week.
A Level Results Day: AS Level and A Level results for Pearson Ed Excel and Oxford AQA Qualifications will be released to students on Thursday 18th August 2022. Students or their parents are kindly requested to collect these from the reception area at school from 12.00 PM- 2:00 PM on that day or the day after between 8:00 AM-2:00 PM. Please let us know if you are not able to collect the results in person and we will arrange to have them emailed to you.
IGCSE Results Day: IGCSE results will be released to students on Thursday 25th August. Students or their parents are kindly requested to collect these from the reception area at school from 10.00am on that day or the day after. Please let us know if you are not able to collect the results in person and we will arrange to have them emailed to you.
Return to School and Attendance:
Mon 29th August: Start of Term (Year 1, Year 7, Years 11-13, New Students)
Tues 30th August: Start of Term (FS1-2, Years 2-6, Years 8-10, New Students)
All students must return on the above dates as per the KHDA approved calendar. As part of our school action plan students attendance must be a minimum of 95%.
Uniform: We are pleased to advise that our school uniform distributor, THREADS, now have their pre-booking system up and running. We highly recommend you getting in their early with your orders so you can have all you require ahead of the new academic year. Vice-Principal خلال الأسابيع الأخيرة من العام الدراسي، يكرس طاقم التدريس جل وقتهم لتخطيط مجموعة واسعة من الأنشطة والفعاليات التي تعود على الطلبة بالمرح والفائدة وتعزز من حس الانتماء لديهم إلى المجتمع المدرسي والذي يعُد تأسيسه وتوجيهه ورعايته على مدار عام كامل بالأمر الجلل. يسهم الاحتفاء بالنجاحات والإنجازات عن استحقاق وجدارة في إنهاء العام الدراسي بشكل إيجابي ويكوّن في أذهان الطلبة ذكريات لا يقوى على محوها النسيان. فيما يلي بعض سبل الاحتفال بنهاية العام الدراسي في جميع أرجاء المدرسة.
ذهب طلبة المرحلة التأسيسية في رحلة ترفيهية إلى متحف الألعاب التجريبي أولي أولي، واستكملوا الأنشطة الدراسية كممارسة مهارات التحدث بطلاقة أمام الملأ والتي تساعدهم بدورها في تنمية مهارات الكتابة استعداداً لحفل تخريج طلبة المرحلة التأسيسية الثانية. بينما ذهب طلبة المرحلة الابتدائية إلى عدة وجهات ترفيهية تضمنت حديقة الواقع الافتراضي وحديقة الحيوانات المائية وغرين بلانت، فضلاً عن مشاركتهم في احتفالات الإذاعة المدرسية والتي عكست المحصلة الإيجابية للمعرفة.
أما بالنسبة لطلبة المرحلة الثانوية فقد سجلوا مشاركات فاعلة في مسابقات خبز المعجنات والمخبوزات والعروض الموسيقية التي أقيمت خلال فعالية اليوم المفتوح المخصص لأولياء الأمور وصنع المنسوجات كجزء من فعاليات أسبوع الفنون الإبداعية، إضافة إلى زيارتهم لحلبة دبي للتزلج ضمن برنامج الرحلات الترفيهية المقرر لطلبة المرحلة الثانوية، إذ أنه من المهم تكريس بعض الوقت للعناية بالجوانب النفسية والذهنية للطلبة وتهيئتهم لعام دراسي جديد على أكمل وجه. ولا يزال أمامنا أسبوع حافل بالأحداث والرحلات الترفيهية فلا تفوتوه.
What an amazing week it has been! The students have been extremely busy with lots of exciting events taking place.
During the final weeks of school, teachers devote their time planning exciting activities and celebrations with students to maintain the sense of classroom community. Creating, guiding, and nurturing a community of learners through a school year is an incredible accomplishment that we can sometimes forget is also worth celebrating!
Celebrating the successes of the year helps end the year on a positive note. Here are just a few ways we have done that this week.
In Foundation Stage, they went on a very exciting school trip to Oli Oli. With activities continuing in school, such as, practicing their talk for writing in preparation for the FS2 Graduation.
In Primary, students also went on various trips to the VR Park, Aquarium and Green Planet. In addition to their celebration assemblies which were a perfect way to showcase their amazing learning.
In Secondary, some students had an opportunity to visit Ski Dubai. Whilst some students also took part in activities such as a ‘Bake off’, Musical Performances for parents open day and the Art and Textile Showcase, as part of Creative Arts Week.
It is always important to take time to pause for reflection as the school year winds down and celebrate the successes of the year. However, we are not finished yet, next week more celebrating and trips continue throughout school, all week.

العالم مدرسة وكلما ازداد علمي في هذه المدرسة، ازددت علماً بجهلي “ أنون
لا تقتصر عملية التعلم على جدران الفصول الدراسي أو مبنى المدرسة، بل تمتد لتشمل كل ما يتعلمه المرء في يومه في أي مكان وأي ظرف. ومن منطلق احتياج الطفل لاكتساب المعرفة وصقل المهارات وترسيخ المفاهيم الأساسية ليغدو عضواً فاعلاً في مجتمعه، فقد حرصت المدرسة على العناية بهذا الجانب التنموي والاستكشافي من خلال تنظيم الرحلات المدرسية إلى مختلف الوجهات التثقيفية والترفيهية. إذ أن الخبرة العملية المكتسبة تمكن الطلبة من تطبيق المعرفة وربطها بالمهارات وإيجاد المزيج المثالي بين المعرفة المكتسبة والمهارات المصقولة. ويتمثل الهدف الرئيسي من اكتساب هذا النوع من الخبرة بتطويع حواس الطالب ومهاراته في التعايش مع ما يحيطه بشكل حرفي. ولاكتساب الخبرة العملية جوانب مهمة أخرى لا تقل بأهميتها عن الجانب التنموي للمعرفة والمهارات وهو الجانب الاجتماعي، إذ أن تبادل الأحاديث مع الأقران والخوض في تجارب مشتركة ومقابلة وجوه جديدة وتقديم يد العون للآخر من شأنه أن يساهم في النمو السليم للطفل بشكل ملحوظ.

Learning is of course not only limited to inside a classroom or school - learning outside the Classroom can be an extremely powerful tool. All children need over their time in school to gather the knowledge, skills and understanding of how to live in, and contribute to, a global society. This begins with an understanding of the world in which we live. This is why school trips are so very important. The first-hand experience gained enables our students to apply, link and acquire this mix of knowledge, skills and understanding. Seeing real fish, using your muscles to climb and jump, admiring a virtual rainforest or solving problems with large scaled equipment provides an memorable physical experience that they will never forget. Alongside this, the social aspect is key – the conversation on the bus, a shared experience and excitement, meeting people for the first time at venues, learning how to stay safe and support each other – all are vital life skills. We sincerely hope that you child thoroughly enjoyed the trips as much as we did!

قدم أعضاء من المجتمع المدرسي هذا الأسبوع ورش عمل للطلبة إلى جانب توفير فرص تعليمية إبداعية. ومن جهتهم حوّل الطلبة أبواب الفصول الدراسية إلى أعمال فنية عكست المهارات الإبداعية لدى الطلبة، ناهيك عن العروش التي أبدعوا في صناعتها. وقد ساهمت هذه الأنشطة في توسيع مدارك الطلبة وتعزيز الحس الإبداعي لديهم، فضلاً عن تعميق مفاهيم إعادة تدوير المخلفات وإعادة استخدامها.
ولا يزال أمامنا أسبوعٌ حافلٌ بالفعاليات التي تتضمن احتفالات الإذاعة المدرسية والرحلات الترفيهية وانتهاء الوحدات الدراسية وانتقالهم وزملائهم إلى مراحل تعليمية جديدة.
Our penultimate week has been very creative! We were honoured to have members of our community offer specialist workshops to our students and provide wonderful creative learning opportunities. Each student’s classroom door has been transformed into a piece of art and incredible thrones have appeared too! These wonderful projects nurtured the student’s creativity as well as their understanding about the potential for ‘waste’ to be recycled and re-purposed.
Unique experiences will continue into next week, when students will have celebration assemblies, trips and the final days with their current class, teacher and year group.

لقد كان هذا الأسبوع حافلاً بالأحداث والمفاجآت والفعاليات في قسم المرحلة الثانوية. فقد شارك الطلبة بعروض استعراضية وموسيقية إلى جانب مشاركتهم في مسابقة خبز المعجنات والتي أبدعوا من خلالها في صنع أشهى الوصفات وتغنى فريق القيادة بمذاقها. كما أننا احتفلنا بتخريج طلبة السنة الثالثة عشر وبالإذاعات المدرسية وبطلبة السنة الحادية عشرـ إلى جانب توزيع جائزة الشيخة فاطمة للتفوق الأكاديمي. علاوة على ذلك، استمتع الطلبة بالذهاب إلى عدة وجهات ترفيهية تضمن أبرزها حلبة دبي للتزلج. ولا يزال البرنامج الترفيهي الخاص بالمدرسة حافلاً بالمخططات والأحداث التي سنشهدها خلال الأسبوع المقبل. ولا يفوتنا أن نذكر بأنه من المتوقع أن تصدر نتائج الاختبارات لطلبة المرحلة الثانوية خلال الأسبوع المقبل.
It’s been a creative and rewards filled week for secondary. We have seen a very successful creative arts week with our students becoming very creative through Dance, Art, Baking and Singing. Ms Terri, Mr Luke and I particularly enjoyed tasting the wonderful baking that the boys and girls produced! We celebrated our year 13 graduation with a wonderful event on Monday and we have also had our celebration assemblies, year 11 congratulations assembly and the Sheikha Fatima Awards. This week we have also had a rewards trips taking place to Ski Dubai and we have a few more exciting trips to look forward to next week! Secondary reports will go out next week.

تهانينا لأول دفعة تخرجت من طلاب السنة 13. لقد نظرنا هذا الأسبوع إلى الوراء في رحلتكم في التعليم حتى الآن بفخر كبير. نتمنى لكم التوفيق في المستقبل.

قضى طلاب الصّف الأول وقتًا ممتعًا ومليئًا بالحماس حيث قاموا بتحديات متنوعة أظهرت تقدمهم المحرز خلال العام الدّراسي، كما أنهم تخطوا معيار القراءة المحدد لفئتهم العمرية ليقرأوا أكثر من عشر كلمات في الدقيقة الواحدة
وتجاوزت كتاباتهم الحد المطلوب منهم فأصبحوا يصفون صورًا بجمل ممتدة، وفي نهاية التحديات استمتعوا بحكايات الحكواتي والتي قام بتقديمها زملائهم الطلبة. وهذا هو الحال مع صفوف المرحلة الابتدائية
على صعيد التربية الإسلامية فقد أكمل طلبة المرحلة الثانوية العمل على أبحاثهم، ومنها بحث عن الصحابة الكرام، حيث جمع الطلبة العديد من المعلومات وناقشوها فيما بينهم في جو من المتعة والفائدة
Year1 students have had a blast this week as they took on an array of challenges, reflecting their remarkable progress. Primary students have also enhanced their performance in reading skills and managed to read over ten words per minute. They have been focusing on sharpening their writing skills until they have exceeded the writing limit requirement and handsomely produced descriptive sentences, and they were thrilled with the storytelling segment.
Primary students, on the other hand, were busy researching the companions of the Prophet Peace be upon Him, and amply discussed their findings with one another in a lighthearted atmosphere.

أسبوع الفنون الإبداعية 2022
احتفل طلبتنا بأسبوع حافل بالأحداث والأنشطة خلال أسبوع الفنون الإبداعية.
فقد عمل طلبة المرحلة الابتدائية على تزيين فصولهم الدراسية بموضوعات تتمحور حول الثقافة البريطانية، واستمتع طلبة الصف الأول ولغاية الصف السادس بمشاركتهم في ورش عمل فنية تحت قيادة مجموعة من الضيوف الخارجيين. علاوة على ذلك، شارك عدد معين من طلبة المرحلة الثانوية في مسابقات خبز المعجنات ذات الجودة العالية بمكونات معينة.
عدا عن ذلك، شارك طلبتنا بعروض موسيقية وراقصة وتمثيلية في برنامج المواهب الخاص بمدرسة جيمس البرشاء الوطنية بمجموع عروض تجاوز الستين عرضاً. وتم اختيار 20 عرضاً منهم للتأهل إلى المرحلة النهائية.
كما استمتع أولياء الأمور بفعاليات اليوم المفتوح حيث أتيحت لهم الفرصة مشاهدة العروض الفنية التي قدمها طلبتنا والتي اشتملت على العروض الموسيقية والدرامية.
وكما جرت العادة، فإننا نهنئ طلبتنا بما أظهروه من مواهب وقدرات، ونتقدم بخالص الشكر والثناء لأولياء الأمور لما قدموه من دعم واهتمام لإنجاح الأحداث والفعاليات المدرسية التي شهدناها على مدار العام الدراسي .
Creative Arts week 2022
Our students had an exciting creative arts week with various activities this week.
Primary students took the opportunity to decorate their doors linking to the British themes; Year 1-Year 6 students thoroughly enjoyed their art and design workshops led by our external guests. Selected secondary boys and girls took part in a bake off challenge where they were challenged to produce high quality food with given ingredients.
We also had an amazing total of 68 performances for our GNS Got Talent Show where our students showcased a range of talent in dance, music, drama, gymnastics and 20 were selected for the final performances.
Our parents and guests enjoyed an open day on Wednesday where they had the opportunity to visit our students’ artwork displays; students musical and drama performances.
Well Done to all of our students who took part and thank you to all of our parents who visited us on Wednesday for the open afternoon.

حيث إن العام الدراسي قد شارف على الانتهاء، يستعد طلبة المرحلة الابتدائية للانتقال إلى مرحلة دراسية جديدة. لذا ، جرى توفير حصص تجريبية لتغطية محتوى منهج المرحلة الدراسية الجديدة بشكل عام ليكون الطلبة فكرة عما سيتم تدريسه في المرحلة الجديدة. ونظراً لأن الرفاه العام لطلبتنا يأتي على رأس أولوياتنا فقد حرصنا على تعريف الطلبة إلى بيئات جديدة وطاقم التدريس القائم على تدريسهم في المرحلة التعليمية ما بعد الابتدائية، الأمر الذي ساهم في تبديد مخاوفهم حول كل ما وثيق بالانتقال إلى المرحلة الثانوية. وطرح الطلبة بدورهم أسئلة كثيرة وشاركوا بأنشطة تجارب عملية وجرى تعريفهم وتذكيرهم بنظام الحماية والدعم التي توفره المدرسة خلال هذه المرحلة. وقد أبدى الطلبة حماسهم حيال البدء المرحلة التعليمية الجديدة من خلال مشاركاتهم الفاعلة والعدد الهائل من الأسئلة التي طرحوها، مما أكد لنا أنهم لن يتوانوا عن تحقيق المزيد من النجاحات والازدهار في كافة المراحل التعليمية.
As we move into the final few weeks of the term, and our young students prepare for their last days in primary school, taster sessions have been running to ensure our students know what to expect next year. As Wellbeing is our utmost focus for our transitioning students, by exposing them to their new environments early and meeting their teachers, we help dissolve any worries or fears about moving up to secondary school. Students had the chance to ask questions and take part in exciting hands on experiments, and were also reminded of the support in place for students who may struggle as they transition. Our Primary students showed their excitement through their enthusiastic participation in class and their endless questions! The comfort portrayed from the students gave us the comfort of knowing they will continue to thrive, even in secondary school.

نصائح لرؤية أوضح:
تُعد العيون من أكثر الأعضاء حساسية في الجسم، حيث إنها تتأثر بسهولة بالعديد من العوامل الخارجية كحالة الطقس وأشعة الشاشات الإلكترونية وخطر التعرض إلى الالتهابات الفيروسية وأمراض الحساسية.
فيما يلي أبرز النصائح حول كيفية الحفاظ على سلامة البصر خلال فصل الصيف:
تتمثل أولى خطوات الحفاظ على سلامة العين بتبني عادات غذائية صحية وتناول الأطعمة الغنية بفيتامين أ وفيتامين سي وأوميغا 3، إلى جانب الخضروات ذات الأوراق الخضراء والسلمون والتونة والبيض.
لأشعة الشمس فوق البنفسجية أثر على سلامة البصر لا يقل عن أثره على البشرة. لذا، نشدد بضرورة ارتداء الأطفال للنظارات الشمسية الواقية من الأشعة فوق البنفسجية لتجنب الإصابة بأي مشاكل بصرية.
يُعد الحد من استهلاك الشاشة في سن مبكر أمرًا ضروريًا للغاية إذ أن التعرض لأشعة الشاشات الإلكترونية لفترة طويلة من شأنه التسبب في إجهاد العين وجفافها والتقليل من حدة الرؤية
إجراء الفحص الدوري للعين بشكل منتظم. ومن هذا المنطلق تحرص مدرسة جيمس البرشاء الوطنية على إجراء فحص سنوي للعين وتتم إحالات الطلبة الذين قد يعانون من مشاكل بصرية إلى مختصين لتقييم الحالة وتقديم العناية الطبية الضرورية.
تشجيع الأطفال على ارتداء نظارة طبية إذا لزم وقد تؤدي النظارات الملونة والخفيفة الغرض بشكل مناسب.
مع انتشار العدوى الفيروسية وأمراض الحساسية بين الطلبة بشكل لافت. يرجى الامتثال بتعليمات المدرسة وهيئة الصحة بدبي بإبقاء الطفل في المنزل إذا ما ظهرت عليه أعراض الإصابة بعدوى في منطقة العينين حتى يتم تشخيصه على يد طبيب مختص.

Tips for a better clear vision:
Eyes are one of the most delicate organs in our bodies, easily affected by any external factors, such as weather, electronic screens and viral infections and allergies.
Here are some tips to keep our precious vision intact:
Good eye health starts with good food, such as food rich in vitamin A and C, omega 3, green leafy vegetables, Salmon, tuna and eggs.
Sun UV light affects our eyes as much as it does to our skin, make sure children wear UV protection sunglasses to avoid injury.
Limiting screen time at a young age is quite essential as they cause eye strain, dryness and decrease vison acuity.
Make sure to take the children for regular eye checkups by ophthalmologist, we at GNS conduct routine annual vision tests and refer those in need for glasses.
Encourage your child to wear their medical glasses if needed, a colorful, light weight one might do the trick.
Last but not least, viral infections and allergies are quite common among students, kindly follow the school and DHA policies to keep the child home if unwell or there is any infection in the eye until examined by a medical physician.

مبادرة جمع المخلفات الإلكترونية: من المقرر أن تشارك مدرسة جيمس البرشاء الوطنية بحملة جمع المخلفات الإلكترونية بالتعاون مع Fixer man - وهي شركة ناشئة يقع مقرها الرئيسي في دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، وتوفر خدمات إصلاح شاشات الأجهزة الإلكترونية عند الطلب. يتمثل الهدف الرئيسي من الحملة في جمع المخلفات الإلكترونية (الهواتف المحمولة القديمة أو المكسورة، وأجهزة الكمبيوتر المحمولة، والأجهزة اللوحية، والساعات الذكية) بحيث يمكن التخلص منها بصورة آمنة. وقد تم تزويد المدرسة بسلة مهملات إلكترونية مسطحة ومخصصة لهذا الغرض، وستشهد مبادرة جمع المخلفات الإلكترونية أولى انطلاقاتها ابتداءً من الأسبوع القادم.
كيف سيتم التخلص من المخلفات الإلكترونية؟
سيتم التخلص من كافة الأجهزة المهملة على نحو آمن وبالاستعانة بخدمات شركة إعادة التدوير E-Scrappy المسجلة لدى بلدية دبي لحذف الملفات المحفوظة في الجهاز ومسح البيانات قبل الشروع في عملية إعادة التدوير، مع العلم بأنه لن يتم إعادة استخدام الأجهزة لأغراض أخرى أو بيعها.
ما هي الأجهزة التي يمكن جمعها؟
أبرز الأجهزة التي يمكن جمعها تتمثل في الهواتف المحمولة والأجهزة اللوحية وأجهزة الكمبيوتر المحمولة والساعات الذكية. يرجى الملاحظة أن الأجهزة التي يمكن جمعها لا تشمل أجهزة الشحن والبطاريات والأسلاك.
ما هي الفترة الزمنية للحملة ؟
تمتد فترة استمرار هذه حملة لمدة عام كامل، وستشهد أولى انطلاقاتها في الأسبوع المقبل وتستمر لغاية مايو 2023.
ماذا عن الأمن المعلوماتي؟
يأتي الأمن الإلكتروني وخصوصية البيانات على رأس أولويات هذه الحملة، وبناء على ذلك فإننا نشدد على ضرورة محو كافة المعلومات والصور الشخصية من الجهاز الذكي قبل التخلص منه. وفي حال تعذر محو البيانات بالشكل الصحيح، ستعمل شركة E-Scrappy على مسح كافة البيانات على النحو اللازم .
GNS will be participating in a GEMS-wide campaign to collect e-waste in collaboration with Fixer man – a UAE-based start-up that repairs device screens on-demand. This campaign aims to collect e-waste (old or broken mobile phones, laptops, tablets, and smartwatches) from the GEMS community so that it can be safely disposed of. We have received our school’s flat-pack e-waste Fixerman bin and will start collecting e-waste as of next week.
Where will e-waste be disposed of?
All discarded devices will be safely destroyed and disposed of through Dubai Municipality-registered recycling company E-Scrappy. All files should be deleted from the device and data will be erased by E-Scrappy before recycling. Please note that devices will not be repurposed or sold.
What devices can be collected?
Mobile phones, tablets, laptops and smartwatches. Please note that chargers, batteries and leads cannot be collected for disposal.
How long will the campaign run?
This is a year-long campaign and donations will be collected beginning next week and continuing through May 2023.
What about Cybersecurity?
Cybersecurity and data privacy are of course paramount concerns in this campaign, which means anyone disposing of an old device should be vigilant and erase all personal information and photos from the device. In any case, all devices will be appropriately wiped clean by E-Scrappy before they are destroyed.

At the end of last year, we launched the GEMS Jewels of Kindness program which seeks to exemplify students exhibiting core values including compassion, kindness, respect, helpfulness and empathy.
The aim of this program is to emphasize the importance of values education to help our children become better world citizens.

وتفصيلاً، تعمل منصة العضوية بالشراكة مع برنامج Advantage Plus (adv +) أحد أبرز منصات عضوية نمط الحياة الرائدة في الإمارات العربية المتحدة والتي تهدف إلى جعل وجهات الترفيه واللياقة البدنية في متناول شبكة مدرسة جيمس من العائلات والموظفين.

The membership platform operates in partnership with Advantage Plus Programme (adv+), one of the leading lifestyle membership platforms in the UAE, and aims to make fitness and quality leisure venues accessible to the GEMS network of families and employees.
Members can access three clubs from some of the leading leisure destinations in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman, including Fairmont The Palm, Ritz-Carlton DIFC, JA the Resort, The Dubai Polo and Equestrian Club, and Sharjah Golf & Shooting Club, to name a few.
